The hotel is conveniently placed along the Hadrian's Wall path. The room was spacious and had everything you needed, we especially appreciated the cookies and water provided after a long hike. The dinner options were varied and the Indian food was delicious.
It was our second stay at this place and we could feel the difference in the ownership. While the previous owners lived and breathed being a dog-friendly place, the new tenants clearly tried but seemed more reserved. Compared to our previous stay, the breakfast experience was slightly disappointing.

A fabulous location
The bed was very small. I had stayed there a year ago and the food menu is much more restrictive. The actual menu on the night was even shorter than the on line one. All short order options decently cooked but no interesting choices or even a range of usual pub menu home cooked options
