Stunning location with beautiful walks and views.
Excellent quality of food.
Our bedroom was tired looking and needed some maintnenace in terms of chipped paintwork. No shower screen made it almost impossible to shower and whilst the art deco committment is excellent it should also be fit for puspose.
The cost of the room and food was the most we have every paid anywhere and we felt this wasn't justifed by the facilities and service.

From the time we arrived at Bigbury on Sea and transported to the Island by Richard to the time we left, the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The ambience, atmosphere, service was exceptional.

Loved the atmosphere of the hotel and surroundings, beautiful spot. Made very welcome.
We didn't have the upgrade I had paid for. Apparently Booking.com didn't pass on the request having told me the upgrade was agreed. No upgrade available. Hotel refunded the difference, they were very helpful. Service by the palm court staff was poor, very surprisingly.
