When we checked into the first room we noticed an issue with it and were moved very quickly to a better room which was really appreciated. The room was big and the beds were very comfortable.
For the cost I would have liked slightly better amenities in the room such as a coffee machine, toiletries etc. the staff were nice but the service wasn’t great and I don’t think the quality of food matches the price particularly for dinner.

Great central location
Looking a bit tired. Residents now have to pay as you go in the bar & restaurant rather than charging to the room & settling on check out. Young children allowed in the bar in the evening leads to increased noise levels. Spa pool sometimes not available for swimming as taken over by aqua classes

Room was very spacious and clean. Spa massage was very good. Food in restaurant was Excellent if slightly pricey. Nice views from the bedroom. Cosy bar area although some mismatched seating that looked out of place. Friendly staff throughout the hotel
Tables in restaurant looked awful and need revarnish/replacing - why serve amazing food on ugly cheap table tops? Breakfast was buffet style every morning except 1 and really thought would be waiter service as this is 4 star hotel. Shower in bedroom was not very powerful and was expecting the option of 2 showers i.e. a static overhead and a handheld shower for washing hair etc. Some of the power points were not working and there was no mirror in bathroom for makeup/shaving in good lighting

The location and Spa are lovely. Staff were friendly.
Our room in the main building which is grade 11 listed was not what we expected, it was drab, tired with worn furnishing and a bit grubby. Generally comfortable although the bed was very soft. Sadly the mould o. The curtain linings was not acceptable
