About this house rental
Located in Oxnard, this charming house for $451 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Silverstrand Beach House Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Enjoy entertaining and hanging out with friends and family upstairs in a well-stocked home with an open floor plan. We are inboard on Ocean Drive and have two sets of French doors that open up onto a front balcony with peekaboo views of the beach, sounds of waves, and ocean breezes! Less than 50 feet away you can step onto the sand, and in under 200 feet, you are at the harbor and lookout point with a sidewalk and benches for sitting to enjoy sailboats and waves. There is also a protected “kiddie beach” only a short distance away. There are two bedrooms upstairs, and each has a king-size bed and a shared luxury full bath. The gourmet kitchen is upstairs with a side balcony that has a BBQ and room for sitting. Downstairs is a master suite, family room, bedroom, and bathroom, which can be a private retreat for a second family. Both upstairs and downstairs living areas have pull-out sofas for extra guests and coffee tables that convert to desks for TV dinner seating. When you are done at the beach or wandering around town, our quaint backyard has an outdoor shower with hot water to wash off sandy toes. The yard is big enough to sit and relax with outdoor couch seating, a fireplace table, a second BBQ, and a dining table to enjoy eating outside in your own outdoor space. There is a two-car garage and room for three cars in the driveway, as well as street parking, and a beach access parking lot (which closes at sunset) is a very short walk away. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. This was our second time staying at this home for the Thanksgiving holiday week. We stayed in 2021, and returned in 2023, as it has a wonderful kitchen for preparing a holiday meal, and is such an amazing location. For the most part, it is an awesome home, with great spaces for family time, dining, and restful sleep. The beds are pretty comfortable, with ample and clean linens. You can hear the waves and nearby sea lions at night, which is pretty cool!
The kitchen is a wonderful meal prep space, however, this time we did notice some deferred maintenance issues that need to be addressed. For some reason they have disconnected the electricity to the hood over the range, so lighting and ventilation is an issue when cooking. Also, there were no hot mitts to be found anywhere this time, which made it extremely precarious to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. We ended up using wash cloths in desperation. Otherwise, we really enjoy the size and layout of the kitchen.
The switches for the recessed lighting in the ceiling need replacing however, as the dimmer no longer works, and the lights pulsate due to the defective switches. And, if you plan on spending any time, watching TV, you may want to bring some extra batteries for the remote. Honestly, the remote just needs replacing. As I am recovering from a leg injury, we spent more time than normal relaxing in the home and watching TV, so this was an issue for us.
Overall, this is a great place to stay, and we would return again.

Wow. Our family loved this beautiful home. All 6 of us slept here comfortably with spacious room. The upstairs living room and kitchen area was our primary hang out spot and we made so many wonderful memories and shared so much laughter. The best part was staying so close to the beach that was several steps away. We came from the suburbs of Chicago to stay here for 2 weeks and it flew by so fast! We loved visiting the sea lions too.
One thing was that there were a couple lightbulbs out, remote batteries were weak (we replaced them), and there were no oven mitts (which we ended up bringing our own). But so many other things were provided that we were grateful for such as towels, beach towels, beach chairs, many kitchen dishes, utensils, pots/pans etc., blankets and toiletries. We took advantage using that huge kitchen to cook almost every night as well.
We did not try out the backyard or the fireplace. We were enjoying the house upstairs and the beach! We also had an early Thanksgiving dinner as half of us live in different states. It was very nice to gather at this home, we look forward to coming back here soon!

Loved the two different floors and the separation for two families. The beach is walkable and the stars looks amazing at night. Lots of towels/cups and glasses which were very appreciated. Most faucets throughout the house were hard to use/turn off water from. Maybe because of rust? Rust was visible throughout much of the metal- maybe replace with non-rusting metal (curtain poles, locks, metal exposed to the exterior, etc.). Downstairs refrigerator did not work for four days. Sand came into the house during a Santa Anna wind storm. Window screens may have been able to help with this. Gets hot downstairs if thermostat is turned on upstairs. All the battery run candles did not work throughout the house. They look nice, but are deceiving. They all have non-working batteries in them.

Plenty of beach towels chairs a wagon & umbrella to use. Literally across the street to the beach. Neighbors were super nice. Great quiet relaxing area. Great sidewalks all around. Easy navigation in the area.

We enjoyed every minute, the kitchen was VERY well stocked with most anything you'd need, nice non-hotel feeling linens and towels. Was wonderful sitting in the living room with both the double doors open to the balcony overlooking the beach. Great high end appliances. We felt right at home and settled in, went for bike rides in the nice neighborhood and the Harbor. Would highly reccommend.

3rd time renting this house for our family/friends vaca, love the location to the beach, friends houses. unfortunately the neighbors had a 2 day party. With a DJ, approx. 100 guests on the 2nd night that kept us up till 130am both nights. Then they had the audacity to fill theirs and all 4 of our trash cans with their trash. so there was no room for our trash, had to take out some of theirs and stuff it in their over flowing cans. But the rest of the week was quiet

Beautiful house with easy beach access. There were a lot of beach towels and chairs available. The kitchen was well stocked with a lot of pans, dinnerwear, and utensils. The outdoor shower had hot water which was great, especially for spraying off children.
There were a couple of small things, which is why we gave 4 stars instead of 5. The adult bikes were both non functioning, some of the bar stools were really wobbly (broken), and there was a little bit of an ant problem but we did find some traps and once we put one out they weren't an issue an longer.

It was my first time renting a vacation home with vacasa was surprised by the instructions before leaving to strip all beds, washing all dishes and emptying all trash before starting the washing machine before our departure. First of all the home is wonderful- true to pictures amazing location. The lack of air conditioning is challenging as it was uncomfortably hot upon arrival - and didn’t cool down to a comfortable level until after sundown. All do this was manageable as it’s literally a few steps from a wonderful sandy beach where you can watch sailboats, surfers and find sand dollars aplenty. The issue I had was with management - I was there for a working vacation. Less than 24 hours after check in our internet went out - I called no less than 6 times with zero resolution until I called the emergency number and finally got a call back at 11pm. I lost 1.5 work days due to the lack of follow up. Additionally, every single remote in the unit had no batteries or dead batteries - batteries were finally delivered on our last day. Bottom line- while the property was fantastic the management was subpar. I rent a dozen vacation properties a year and have never encountered such unresponsive customer service.

Great location, a few yards from the beach. Kitchen is really well equipped, the house was very comfortable. Lots of outdoor beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and we loved the beach cart. Would definitely recommend this property.

The house had plenty of room for our family. It was clean and decorated very nicely. Having the garage and driveway to park our cars was fantastic as not many vaca rentals have adequate parking. The beach was literally right across the street so it was such a convenient location! And Silverstrand is a very family friendly beach...beautiful sand and no rocks! The outside shower with hot water was a plus! We will definitely book this beach house again! Thank you Vacasa!

The house is very clean, updated and fresh. The walk to beach is about 20 steps from the sand, you can see and hear the ocean from the balcony. We loved the house and are going to book it again as soon as can!!!!

This is a great beach house in a fantastic location super-close to the beach. There are essentially two separate living spaces, which was great for our teens to have their own space downstairs. We enjoyed our stay very much.
