Loved the place. This is our second trip to a unit in Kawama. The units are spacious. The property is great. We loved the lagoon for snorkeling and night swims. The jetty is great for sunrises and sunsets.

This property is in a Great location! Loved the saltwater lagoon, pools, and small beach area. Condo is clean with updated kitchen and bathrooms, as well as a well stocked kitchen. I would only suggest a queen bed in room 2 instead of bedding for children. With the twin beds downstairs and pull out bed, there is ample bedding for children. We needed more adult bedding.

We had a wonderful stay at this vrbo in key largo. It’s walking distance to the marina, fishing, some restaurants and dolphin mammal rescue (very cool place). The home was clean, and fully stocked with all we needed to cook, shower, go to the pool/beach etc… The owners were easy to get ahold of and communicate with. The property is great! All the people we met were friendly. If we return to Key Largo we would stay here again. I highly recommend this vrbo.

We paid quite a bit of money for the week and I was expecting more. If it was half of what we paid I would say ok not bad for the money. We had some problems with the air. Kept turning off and had to reset all the time. This property is 3 levels so lots of stairs. There are several non expensive things they could do to make this property better. The twin bed on the 1st level is horrible. A twin bed is not expensive (even though I think a double bed would fit in this room) and that would be a big improvement. There is no closet or dresser in this bedroom. There is nowhere to put your clothing in this bedroom Nowhere to put your suitcase. I had to pull a chair from the other room to put my suitcase on. There was no mirror in the bathroom on the first floor. No full length mirror in the whole house. I had to purchase a mirror - which was very inexpensive so no reason there was no mirror. The first level could be spruced up a bit. Things looked unfinished. Only one large frying pan had to cook things one thing at a time. The golf cart has seen better days - rusted and the battery would not hold charge very long. There were two decks on the 2nd level and one for each of the bedrooms on the 3rd floor. The furniture could be better. Very uncomfortable chairs. And no furniture on one of the decks on 3rd level. Furniture arrangement was bad in one of bedrooms could not see the tv that was on wall. They have to rearrange bunk bed so tv is visible. The couch in living room looks nice but It is very uncomfortable. And that is the only seating in the living room. So maybe 3 people can sit at a time. The beds on 3rd floor were ok. Bathrooms and showers are small. The location and grounds are good. Pools and lagoon are good. Basically the unit has most of what you need so it is ok if it was less money. We paid a lot and I feel not really worth it

I made the property manager aware that the 3 story rental has one single smoke detector on the first floor and no others. No response now 3 days later. No concern for the safety of guests nor adherence to the law. Very disappointed in the property manager and VRBO for not requiring this minimum expectation of safety.

It seems the homeowners are trying to bootstrap the repair process and are underfunded. We arrived and the microwave was broken and after getting voicemail at the primary number and texting to both numbers provided; the homeowners finally replied a few hours later saying the last renter told them and they hadn’t had time to fix it. This seemed par for the course for the property as there were stains on the furniture, stains on the carpet, half done repairs everywhere (missing ceiling light, coolant lines run next to where my daughter slept, dryer venting into the first floor, broken shower head on 3rd floor and the list goes on). The 3rd floor patio furniture was so rusted you couldn’t use it, the screen door out the back to the park/pool area was in so bad shape an adult had to open it (only half opened) and I even scraped my knuckle on it one time fighting with it to open. The golf cart was an exciting option but we found the charger to be finicky with wires nearly exposed and the rear where the kids would ride was rusted so bad that my teens had to watch where the stepped when they got on so the flooring wouldn’t give way.
To the good. The complex itself was great. 2 pools that were heated/cooled to a nice warm temperature. A lagoon you can swim in. If you have young kids, there’s a playset that’s well kept. The facility is gated, and the guards were nice and were able to review our vrbo trip details and get us checked in even though the homeowners didn’t notify them. The location of the complex was good with easy access to the state park, dining and shopping and groceries. There are also a couple nice sitting areas by the ocean that have a beach like vibe to them that you can go relax and hang out. No real ocean swimming area however, you can go down the steps and wade in the ocean.

We had a fantastic trip to Key Largo, and I could not be more impressed with our rental. We did have a couple minor issues, however the owners were prompt with responding, and there was nothing that took away from the vacation. The amenities were fantastic, plenty of room for our family, and perfect location for fishing and diving. This would be my first choice on our next visit to the keys!

A group of friends here for Keys 100 relay. Perfect for our group. Everything you could want in a townhouse. Perfect place good location no complaints. Left in hurry because early flight out of FLL sorry we didn’t finish cleaning out fridge.
