Grupotel Tamariscos

We were very satisfied with our stay. The staff was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. We arrived very late, and they immediately upgraded our room, which was a really nice gesture. The rooms are very well located, and it seems that most, if not all, offer a beautiful sea view. The hotel has two pools, both of which were cleaned every morning, and the water temperature was very pleasant. The hotel’s location is also excellent it feautures sunrise/sunset as well.

There are relatively few parking spaces available. The hotel is clearly not newly built, and although the exterior is well maintained, there are some signs of wear and tear in certain interior areas. For example, there were some rust stains in the bathroom. The bakery selection at breakfast could also be improved, as the pastries and baked goods did not always seem particularly fresh. However, these were relatively minor issues and did not significantly affect our overall experience.

Location and the view were outstanding

Our patio had no roof to protect from the sun . Wish the had a sun shade. We borrowed one from the pool side!

The breakfast buffet was great with a lot of choice including cooked vegetables, fresh omelets, pastries and pancakes. The kitchen had an electric juicer which was great for making fresh orange juice as the breakfast buffet juice was not freshly squeezed. The pool areas look very nice though were only open between 10:00 - 18:00 which did not really suit us as we were out during the day.

We paid extra to book an apartment with kitchen with partial sea views though were allocated a ground floor apartment that required a renovation and absolutely no sea view. The apartment didn´t have any large knifes for bread or cheese and missed the basics like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, olive oil, tea towels, cleaning clothes, sponges, dishwashing detergent, broom, dust pan or any cleaning products whatsoever. Seems strange to be expected to provide all these things yourself for a short stay. It was also very expensive in May when compared to other hotels we stayed in during this trip to Menorca that had much better facilities & food though were much cheaper so I can´t really recommend staying here due to the price vs quality.
