Birgit was the very best hostess! She gave us excellent instructions on where to park our car, met us at her home and showed us all of the things we needed to know to enjoy our stay! Her home was well-stocked! It is also conveniently located to use the public transportation system during our stay in Vienna! She also had a Rick Steve’s book and maps on-site, facilitating our visit, as well!

Location-Comfort-Quiet. This apartment was great. We felt so fortunate to have stayed here. My daughters and I just spent four days in Vienna. We walked everywhere. Birgit’s apartment is very close to the Karlsplatz station so getting in from the airport was a breeze. The famous Naschmarkt is steps away. The Opera House and Albertina are a 15 minute walk. We were out 10 to 12 hours every day and getting back to the apartment was always a joy knowing were were in such a nice, well stocked home.

We absolutely loved this apartment and can’t wait to return. Everything was absolutely perfect - from the cleanliness of the apartment, to the thoughtful decor, to the location, everything was delightful. We especially appreciated the blackout blinds in the bedroom as we adjusted from jet lag. And Birgit, our host, was really wonderful. She was responsive and kind at every moment. We really do feel like we’ve found a sweet little nest in Vienna and hope to be back soon.

Exceptional apartment very close to the city center, just across the street from Naschmarkt which makes your food shopping such a pleasant experience.The apartment is also 5 minutes walk from the State Opera. It's very elegant , convenient, tastefully decorated. Very clean and fully stocked with every necessity. Communication with Birgit was always pleasant and quick. I would be very happy to return.

We loved this apartment. It is so spacious, open, and well decorated, it really felt like a home and not cookie cutter vacation rental. There were numerous thoughtful details - comfortable pillows for lounging on the couch, a variety sizes of cups and glasses, a little cabinet to put your shoes away by the front door, and electric shades for the windows. The location could not be better. Around the corner from the Naschmarkt, a nice grocery store, and easy walking distance to the opera and main pedestrian zone. Brigit was a lovely host. She was easy to communicate with, and met us at the apartment to make sure we had everything we needed. She got us fresh tulips as a welcome, which was so thoughtful! (And it happened to be my birthday, so that was especially nice!). Do be aware that the apartment is on the 5th floor, but there is a small elevator which was perfect for taking our luggage up and down. We used the stairs the rest of the time. We would happily stay at this lovely apartment again!

We spent 10 days in this apartment and would happily return. Besides being an attractive space, it was extremely comfortable and functional. And it is quiet and very conveniently located. We didn’t meet the owner, but the few times we contacted her, we heard back very promptly.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this apartment. The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly. The apartment was impeccably clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for walking to the major sites while being nestled in a non-touristy area with lots of affordable and delicious restaurants and cute local coffee shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Felt very at home in this wonderful apartment, easy to walk to public transport, into the old city & so so many Christmas markets.

Once we occupied the residence, never could get ahold of the owners and we had some issues. Couldn’t open our door, I sat on steps for over a hour before we could find someone in the building to help us. Never could get the stove to work. The owner could have contacted us to see if we were doing ok

We found the flat very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. Our flight wasn’t due to arrive until late and was actually delayed, but Birgit and Wolfgang were very accommodating about this. Wolfgang spent time explaining everything even when we arrived so late. If we visit Vienna again, we would be very happy to stay there.

We stayed in Vienna with my sisters for three nights, apartment was perfect, clean, bright ( don't get the shutters fool you) with excellent water pressure and air conditioning units. We found them very useful with the beautiful warm September weather. Having elevator was helpful, given one of my sisters recent knee surgery. Grocery market was around the corner and Nashmarkt with variety of restaurants across the street. Perfect location! Walkable to many historic places Vienna has to offer. Host was very responsive and helpful, and the location was great! We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. It was very nice having the market right across the street. Check in process was easy and they even left some wine on the table for my birthday! 10/10.

This was a home away from home with conveniences nearby: a grocery store around the corner, the metro a short walk away and, of course, the Nachstmarket which was nearby and a great place for dinner. The owner is very nice snd accommodating. The place was comfortable and clean with air-conditioning and satellite TV. It was tastefully decorated, as well. We loved it.

By far this is the best rental property we have ever stayed in. The location could not have been better, it's 2 blocks from the tram, 4 blocks from the U and 1 block from the Naschmarkt full of fresh vegitables, cheeses, fish, meat, wine and a long string of indoor/outdoor restaurants. A supermarket around the corner, bank across the street, large wine store across the Naschtmarkt, macha tea store next door, ice cream 4 blocks away, etc, etc. The appartment has a full kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and stocked with pots/pans, dishes and glassware. The bedroom and living room both have AC units as well as electric shades. The decor is modern and very tastefully done. We prepared a number of dinners during our two week stay. Birgit was there to meet us and explained all the controls for TV, AC, shades; there is a complete listing of directions for all the appliances in the appartment. Checkin/checkout was very flexible. If there were a catagorie of "superhost stars", Birgit and Wolfgang would qualify.

This apartment is in a fantastic location. It is also beautifully decorated and spacious, with modern and high quality amenities. The air conditioning works great, and was very useful during the hot spell Vienna was in at the time. I enjoyed the spacious bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen and adequate bathroom. The property felt like home away from home. While showering the bathtub, I had to take care not to splash water outside the tub. The location was very good as it was close to the Hop on Hop off and the U (Metro). All in all this is an excellent property.

Correspondence before our stay was with Birgit, but I never met the owners. A friend of theirs (Adam) waited for us to let us in at the established time. He was punctual and friendly but speaks very little english. This apartment is located in close proximity to the center where most of the sites are. Also very close to the market that has lots of fun small/casual restaurants for dinner/lunch. HOWEVER, , the building itself is old and not well maintained. The entrance to the building is dark. There are much better places to stay on the other side of the market for about the same price.The apartment is quaint. It is simply furnished with a comfortable living room/couch, a table for meals that seats 4 comfortably and a comfortable bed with good bedding. The kitchen seems well stocked but we only used the coffee machine (which has very poor directions, but I was able to use).We were here in June (daytime temperatures 78-84 outside) and we had to keep windows open to keep the place cool. With the windows open the shades cannot be lowered so we had too much light coming in. The street noise (you are on the fifth floor) is TERRIBLE (cars, mopeds, sirens, lound people talking, etc.). The first night I was not able to fall asleep until after 3 am because the noise continued that late and the air just was not cooling in the room. There is a small fan in the bedroom, but the motor was very hot so we turned it off for fear of a fire hazard (and I could not find a fire extinguisher anywhere in the apartment, should we have needed one...). During my sleepless first night I made reservation to spend our next two nights elsewhere because it would not have been possible to sleep here again. The following days we closed the windows and lowered the shades hoping that this would keep the apartment cool, but when we came back to get our bags it was very hot and stuffy (which again confirmed it would not be a comfortable sleeping environment). I let the owners know that we had moved out because of the inability to sleep because of heat and noise and I was not offered a refund for the two nights we did not use. I would not recommend this apartment with nearby hotels that have air conditioning and are much nicer for a similar price. We spend only 20 euros a night more for a fantastic hotel with air conditioning for the last two nights. This was a very expensive stay in Vienna, considering we had already paid for the apartment .
