Grand Powers is one of those rare hotels that feels genuinely special.
The hotel itself is beautiful, but what really stayed with us was the feeling of being there. It has so much character and a real sense of Paris about it. Elegant and luxurious without ever feeling impersonal or overly formal. Our room was exceptional, and waking up to a view of the Eiffel Tower made the stay even more memorable.
What impressed us most, though, was the hospitality. There is a warmth and thoughtfulness to the service here that goes beyond simply being efficient or attentive. We felt genuinely looked after throughout our stay, and travelling with our five-year-old son, that made an enormous difference. The little details, the kindness of the team and the way everything was handled made Grand Powers feel remarkably welcoming.
We stayed here for my birthday, so I had hoped it would feel special, and it absolutely did. There are many beautiful luxury hotels in Paris, but Grand Powers has something harder to define: personality, warmth and a sense of place. It never felt like we could have been staying in a luxury hotel in any other city.
We left genuinely sad to leave, which probably says more than anything else. Grand Powers will be the first hotel I think of when we return to Paris.

Excellent location in the 8th arrondisement close to Champs Elysees. Good staff and service.
There are two clubs in the street. The noise during each and every of three nights was absolutely intolerable. Lots of hooting and shouting at 5am.
