Situated in Victoria, this attractive house for $123 per night is a great option for your next break. Now with free Wifi. Family friendly! Discount for long stays! Situated in the quiet seaside town of Skenes Creek ( just 5km's from Apollo Bay) and directly across the road from Skenes Creek beach. This 2 bedroom fully self-contained home/cottage sleeps 6 in comfort {1 Queen / 2 bunks /1 Portacot}. Watch the ocean whilst relaxing with a glass of wine in front of the Coonara fireplace (kids guard available) or cooking a BBQ on the deck. Cathedral ceilings with north facing sky-windows produce a light and airy ambience throughout. A reverse cycle inverter air-conditioner ensures a comfortable environment year round. Other little extras include: a renovated modern, fully tiled bathroom with double-sized shower, double vanity and Thermofilm heater; carport; sound system with USB and 3mm connections; electric blankets; portacot , doonas and blankets, pillows, out-door shower for those beach wash-offs, large front lawn area and heaps of firewood. NOTE: NORMAL ARRANGEMENT IS BYO LINEN (sheets, pillow cases, towels and bathmat). We can however arrange for linen to be supplied for an extra charge. Walk across the road to the beach or creek to swim, fish, discover the rockpools, surf, watch the stunning sunrises and sunsets, fly a kite or simply relax on the white sand. Alternatively, drive 5 minutes (or if you are up to it, walk 45-50 mins!) to Apollo Bay with it's golf course, brewery, distillery, pubs, pier and fish co-op, charming main street, great shops, cafe's and restaurants and beautiful beaches. Treat yourself to one of the many fine food establishments of the area including the award winning Chris' restaurant at Beacon Point which sits at the top of the hill directly above Ocean Vista or one of the fantastic restaurants of Apollo Bay such as Graze, Casalingo and The Birdhouse. This GREAT OCEAN ROAD property offers direct views and access to the swim / surf beach, rockpools, trout stream and surrounding rolling hills. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind with family or friends. A wonderful little place, close to the beach and a short drive into town. The owner was extremely helpful in communicating with us and the layout and facilities made it comfortable and welcoming. This is the second time we have stayed ant the property and intend to return if it’s available at the time.

I would have loved to give this a better rating as it has SO MUCH POTENTIAL but unfortunately the following made it not the comfortable stay we had hoped: 1. The mattress on main bed is hard and not the most comfortable. 2. Not even a couple of tea bags or coffee sachets on our arrival, we were planning to do our big grocery shop the next day! 3. Our first night, we were tired & hungry and just wanted to have a simple bbq, but the bbq did not relight after we had switched it off! Hubby’s a technician so did manage to fix it but it became a very stressful process! 4. Hot Water service is not instant so let the kids know they need to take 5 min showers or else no hot water to clean the dishes! 5. Advertised as Fire Deck (not sure what this meant) but if it was in reference to the fire place, don’t bother lighting up the wood, the fire wood is wet and the flame kept going out)! When I contacted the owner, he was dismissive and claimed the firewood was dry! So if you are expecting a fire place as advertised, it’s not going to happen! We love to stay at places with a fireplace, so not to have it on, was a huge disappointment for me!

Lovely unit. Idyllic location, listening to and watching the waves. Perfect location to launch from. Lorne to the east and Apollo Bay to the west. A couple of nice restaurants in Apollo Bay which is just over 5 minutes away. Only downside was some bike race which shut down the area. Annual event, I think, which, if aware, can be easily avoided.

Lovely relaxing stay. Close walking distance to Skenes Creek beach for beach walks. 5 min drive to Apollo Bay for great eateries . Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Comfortable bed and great shower. Loved the fire and TV was great. Enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely property. It was perfect for our mini-break to visit the Otway Fly and the apostles. I wish we had another few days to just relax and enjoy the property and the great location.

The house was very clean and well presented. Great facilities and very close to the beach. View from the house is not quite as good as depicted in the ad but excellent in every other respect. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely place for a getaway. Nice quiet location across the road from the beach. Lots of bird life, little wrens and honey eaters in the flower garden next to the dining room window which i enjoyed watching. Modern bathroom and good kitchen. The place was very clean and well maintained. It was cooler weather for our stay, so we appreciated the heater and electric blanket on the bed, and the heat lamp in the bathroom. It was great having a laundry to wash our clothes and dry them in the clothes dryer. We would definitely book again.

A fabulous return visit to our family fav place. Being so easy to access the beach, close to Apollo Bay and yet nicely affordable. Our little home away suits us perfectly to catch up together and enjoy some sun, sand, surf, sparkly and so much more too. Thanks again for a lovely time.
