Located in Crested Butte, this lovely house for $523 per night is a great option for your next break. License #001292 Just a half a block from downtown, the historic Wild Rose's location is perfect for walking to the restaurants, cafes, galleries, and the town shuttle. A wonderful fenced yard with a deck, hot tub, and BBQ for summer gatherings or a nice soak apres ski sits across from Coal Creek. Sit on the front porch and listen to the creek and watch locals ride by while reading the paper, or enjoy the interior comfort of this restored home. The master bedroom with queen bed, cathedral ceilings, original hardwood floors, walk in closet, TV and writing desk has its own entrance and is on the ground floor away from the main portion of the house. Its adjoining bathroom is beautifully tiled with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and dual sinks. A large tiled mudroom and hallway with two entrances and decks rests between the master bedroom and the kitchen. The side deck is perfect for morning coffee or evening aperitif with a view of the creek and wild flowers. The sunny kitchen is tiled with ample counter space and a gas stove with open viewing of the cozy living room with its gas fireplace. A spacious wooden dining room table is also part of the open floor plan. Historic windows, flooring and photos create a feeling of warmth as well as admiration for this home's restoration. The second floor is accessed off of the kitchen next to a nicely tiled full bathroom. Double doors open to a carpeted stairway lined with several historic photos and two twin beds in the upper hallway which connects to a separate, cozy queen bedroom. Feel like a local while relaxing by the creek at The Wild Rose, a historic renovated vacation rental. Please note that air conditioning is almost non-existent in Crested Butte. This property does not have AC. We appreciated being able to check in early as our flight arrived at 10am. The house was as pictured. The location was perfect. There were plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. I left a list of things that need to be repaired and/or need attention. I can email you that if you didn't receive. Overall we enjoyed our stay but don't feel the property was worth the price we paid even with the discount. Feels like it needs to be updated with a larger tv, better coffee maker and a king size bed in master. The instruction book needs a lot more detail, including the check in/check out list. We never figured out the thermostats. Need better instructions on parking spot-maybe a photo, more instructions on where trash cans are located and list of area restaurants would be nice. The VRBO listing does not have any information about what applicances are available for use. I could not even find if there was a washer/dryer at the house.

The wild rose has a perfect location and may be most nicely appointed place that I have stayed in. 2 blocks from the bus, a block from downtown, the location can't be beat. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was just the ticket. If you enjoy cooking, or just find the need to cook for 6 people, the kitchen has almost all of the appliances, and cooking tools you could need, while everyone can gather around the butcher block table and snack. Just a perfect place with incredibly responsive service. Just great.

Great experience at the Wild Rose. Terrific location makes it easy to get to the bus stop for an quick ride to the mountain base. Enjoyed the easy walk into town too.

The house and staff were fantastic! The house was very clean and had great amenities. The check in process was very easy and the roads and walkways were cleared of snow everyday. The house was walking distance to Elk street for shopping and dining and just a short drive up the mountain to ski. We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay to enjoy some skiing in Crested Butte. This house is in a great location in CB. Close to everything but also a quiet location. The house has a great layout and fits well in CB. We would definitely stay again.

Walking distance to all downtown festivities, but far enough away tucked on a side street where it was quiet. Spacious for a group of 5-6, newer finishings in an older home, but perfect touches that made it feel like home. Very clean, loved the hot tub surrounded by all the snow, and very well stocked kitchen for cooking. It’s on the pricey end, but when there’s no other options and you want to stay here to celebrate with friends, it’s the perfect spot to accommodate a short ski trip.

Great properly, fairly priced and super close to town. We were a group of 4 on a guys trip and it fit us well. Property management company was great to work with. Location awesome. Hot tub awesome. Property had character and was in great shape. Easy drive to mountain or there is a bus just a block away. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Property
This was our families first time to Crested Butte and we loved every bit of the trip! This property is perfect for a family, lots of space, well equipped kitchen, hot tub, there wasn’t anything else we wish it had. The location is perfect, short walk to town for all the cute restaurants and shopping, as well as an easy walk to the bus to get to the mtn. We came during the week they received 100 inches of snow in 7 days, amazing winter wonderland but also the property was well shoveled and made it “easy” to park and unload. We can’t wait to check it out in the summer!

Shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, aluminum foil (for grilling) and plastic wrap for food storage were not provided so remember to bring any essentials you might need. Two bathrooms were on the first floor and two bedrooms were upstairs making it inconvenient to access. The property management company requires the beds to be stripped and sheets in washer with towels and started before leaving at 10am. We felt this was much to ask when paying a substantial cleaning fee. Of course, we put out all trash, started dishwasher, started the clothes washer with towels, swept up, etc. before we hit the road. The house with its add on rooms was charming and everything was clean. Neighbors were great! Sam, who works for the property management folks was fantastic! Location is perfect đź‘Ť

Fabulous spot in old town Crested Butte
Really wonderful renovated historic house with rambling floorplan in great location one block from main street. Also situated by a creek adding a nice burbling backdrop. The living area might be a bit small for a larger family, but the overall positives of the property should make it worth considering regardless. Very well stocked and the owner/manager is clearly attentive to details. The gravel drive along the side did kick up a little dust for those sensitive. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to CB!
