This property was beautiful!

Everything was great! The cabin was really clean, in a great location in the middle of the woods, and the hosts were friendly and responsive.

The chateau and surroundings are peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I spent a lovely and much-needed Thanksgiving weekend reconnecting and recharging. Somehow we missed on the VRBO website that bath towels are not provided (but sheets are), so remember to bring your own. Also, Emilie is just the sweetest person I’ve ever met, but she did pop-by unexpectedly on Thanksgiving just as we (the two of us) were about to eat. She was coming to answer a question I had posted on the VRBO site the night we arrived (almost 48 hours prior) about the password for internet not working. The one on the VRBO site isn’t correct, so go with the one in the book that is left for you.. We figured that out and I wrote back less than 5 min later to “never mind” and that all was figured out. It was sweet of her to stop by and make sure everything was okay, but I thought it was unnecessary and maybe a little bit intrusive? Anyway, it really was no big deal and we went on to enjoy our weekend. We mostly stayed in the house relaxing because it is truly a beautiful spot. :) Dawnene

We had a great stay. The property is beautiful - we were there just past peak colors in fall. Having the chalet in the woods with a large clearing only a few steps away is ideal if you're staying with kids or a dog (or both). The stars at night are phenomenal. The place is clean, well maintained, and super cozy. Great location within driving distance to many amazing hikes. Door County is crowded now - this place reminds me of what it used to be like...

What a nice fall getaway spot for a long weekend. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location was quiet and off the beaten path, yet only minutes from shopping and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this property.

We had rented the High Ridge Chalet 30-some years ago when our kids were just babies. We happened to run across the listing again recently and decided to take our kids up again and show them what a great place it is! We were not disappointed. After 30 years, the chalet is just as beautiful as we remembered. The upgrades that the Franke's have made have kept the location looking very fresh and new. It was clean and had all the items we needed during our stay. It is conveniently located from either shore with easy, quick access to all the shops, wineries, breweries and restaurants. Or, you could just relax and enjoy the quiet, peaceful forest and meadow views out the windows. Emelie was very easy to work with and checked in with us before-hand to make sure we had all the information we needed. I cant believe its been 30 years between our visits, but I guarantee we will be back to enjoy the chalet again soon!!

The High Ridge Chalet was fantastic. We loved the quiet solitude. The only thing we would change is the shower head in the master bath. Other than that it was a great place to relax after spending the day browsing the arts and pottery galleries through Door County. We would stay again next year for sure.

This is a lovely property and immaculately maintained. The owners are delightful and truly work to make your stay enjoyable. Nothing has been overlooked.

The High Ridge Chalet is a great central location for a stay in Door County. The property was beautiful and the home was clean and comfortable. We stayed with a group of extended family so we especially enjoyed gathering on the large deck and grilling. Emilie was a pleasure to work with.

The High Ridge Chalet is a lovely home on a wooded lot in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Yet, you are just a short ride to the shops, activities and restaurants in Fish Creek. When we encountered a problem with the wi-fi connection, the owner was immediately responsive and got the matter resolved. It is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing vacation.

This was the perfect location for a family stay in Door County. It is centrally located on the peninsula and away from the crowds in town. We enjoyed the solitude and also the ability to travel around and site see easily. I highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area.

It was a lovely place in a very nice location. I was able to truly relax and be in nature. The house was very clean and everything was really nice. I stayed for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The beds were nice and it was a comfortable place. I enjoy the house overall. Thank you.

This house worked perfect for our family of 7. It was in a beautiful secluded setting, but was still close to all the places we wanted to visit. It was immaculately clean and very nicely decorated and furnished. I don’t think we could have selected a better rental for this vacation.

Located in a quiet setting in the woods, We found this home to be the perfect, comfortable environment to relax in, and play games with the family in the evening! The rooms were immaculate and well appointed— a super convenient location to go anywhere in Door County, and an easy bike ride to Bailey’s Harbor! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was a very nice location. Outside of town where there were a lot of people. Very quiet and peaceful.

We are a family with kids ages 11-18. This was our first time visiting Door County. This was a great space to come back to after busy days exploring. Very clean and had everything we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emelie and Toby’s nice house in the woods. The house is in excellent condition, actually much better than shown in the listing photos. We found everything we need to live / cook / play. The hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I asked about fire pit before arriving. To our surprise, we found that the hosts prepared a brand new fire pit for us, with wood chips and cardboards inside to start the fire, and fire woods in the shed. Mr. Toby came by himself the next day to bring us a lighter. The kids had a great time around the fire pit. The house is located in dense and quite woods while having easy access to all attractions. We will definitely consider to stay again when we visit Door County in the future.

The house was lovely. Secluded and extremely clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Close enough to the state park but nice and quiet setting

Tucked away in a quiet wooded setting. Made it just in time to catch some of the fall colors (10/27-30). Lovely fireplace provided warmth with the 36F temps. Towels & bed linens were not provided, which we were told beforehand. Suggest you buy your groceries enroute, as there are no larger chain stores nearby. Would return, if vacancy available.

Great location, nestled in woods. We stayed during peak leaf changing season in October and found the beauty surrounding us to be stunning.

The chalet is a very nice home in the woods. The photos don't really do it justice. The living room has a gas fireplace with large windows on each side that overlook a deck and a large meadow. Woods surround the house and the meadow.... beautiful. The home is decorated nicely, well furnished and kitchen seemed well stocked with cooking utensils. Upstairs bedroom was very comfortable, we did not use any bedrooms downstairs. It was nice to wake up in the morning to a nice view of the woods. The owners were very responsive and kind. To be fair, we were only there one night due to one of us becoming ill. (No, it was not covid). We were sad to leave as it would have been beautiful place to spend a few days, and was conveniently located.

This property was gorgeous! Wooded and seemingly remote, this really felt like a getaway. So convenient to Baileys Harbor, however. It was comfortable and clean, good kitchen with all the essentials. Plenty of room for a large family or group of friends. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
