The property was ok overall, about average in my experience. It appeared clean, amenities were as advertised, kitchen well equipped although a bit disorganized.
The pool water was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was fine
Complaints:
check-in/check-out times not in line with most properties. check-in 6 pm is NOT family friendly (it was available at 4:00, but we waited at the beach with infants). The property manager was not helpful, I asked about parking cars in the drive until we were allowed in and was basically scolded for arriving early. Not good customer relations.
Several electrical outlet receptacles were not screwed in all the way, others had loose wall plates, and some did not hold the plug in! A couple light switches were installed upside down - a minor point, but this looked like the work of an amateur electrician. This was a $10K rental, not some dive, why would the electrical be shoddy?
We are going to Sandbridge next year instead of Obx. Regardless, I will not rent from this Property Management company when we return

We had a great time staying at the Lazy J. We had a group of 15 and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool and pool table were both a huge hit for both the kids and adults:) The location was perfect with a short walk to the beach. The place was very clean and no bugs! (Last place we stayed at in Corolla had bugs). Thank you for letting us stay at your house! Will stay here again:)

The house was very accommodating. The biggest issue we had was with the uncomfortable seating in the family room. The sofas and chairs were not comfortable and there was not enough seating in the main area. The bedrooms and baths were just what we needed.

Summer Family Vacation in Corolla
Our family had a great time in Corolla at the Lazy J! To start, the check-in process was so easy & convenient especially compared to other beach house rentals. The house had everything we needed for our stay & was conveniently located to beach access with just a short walk. We loved all the balcony space & how almost every room had access out to the deck space. The kitchen & great room area was so nice & accommodating for our party of 13.

984 Corolla Drive was a great location and the neighborhood was nice. The children enjoyed bunk beds and the pool. The adults loved the house layout and privacy with a bathroom for each bedroom. The adults enjoyed playing pool the days we had rain. Overall a great visit!

Lazy week at lazy j
We had a great vacation this week at lazy j. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed and then some. Location is great, about 10 minutes to key places (grocery restaurants beer ocean activites). Would definitely return to Coralla (well corolla, but learned proper pronunciation this week lol) and lazy j specifically!! 😊

Return to the Outer Banks
It had been 10 years since we were in the Outer Banks as a family and it was great to be back. Only negative about the house was that there were building supplies outside the house and an old door that had been torn out laying next to the pool. Not very pleasing to the eye. But overall a great house in a great location!

The short walk to the beach was great! The vents, screens and patio furniture need cleaning. The furniture is dated. The house indicated putting bikes back but no bikes provided. For the most part, the house was nice!

Also, I couldn't get the TV or overhead light to turn on in my bedroom.
On a positive note, the pool and spa were sparkling. The house was clean and there was a wonderful hammock on the middle deck. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach.

A great house walking distance to an amazing beach
The house was very comfortable and super well located in a quiet neighborhood just 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. We were only two couples and a child. It was the perfect space for everyone, especially because 3 of us needed to telework and our son was taking virtual school classes. The internet worked perfectly. The living room in the upper floor was amazing, with a full equipped kitchen. All room were comfortable and there were enough bathrooms for everyone. The jacuzzi worked perfectly and although the weather was a bit cold, our son and my husband had a blast in the swimming pool. We fully recommend this property to families and friends.

Check in process was super easy and property manager was extremely communicative whenever I needed help with anything! The beach was a bit of a walk away so we ended up driving a few minutes from the house and found a nice parking lot close to the beach!! I also ended up leaving a personal item behind and they were quick to send it back! I definitely recommend staying here.
