WITH THE NEW BC GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS ON SHORT-TERM RENTALS, OUR COUNTRY HOUSE HAS BEEN LIMITED TO HOSTING 8 PEOPLE IN 3 BEDROOMS, EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE 7 BEDROOMS AND BEDS FOR 16. TO PERMIT LARGE GROUPS TO GATHER, WE ARE COMBINING WITH OUR LODGE (LOCATED A 4 MINUTE DRIVE AWAY, AND HAS BEDS FOR 12). WE CAN THEREFORE OFFER TWO LOCATIONS AND EXTRA AMENITIES FOR LARGE GROUPS. Spectacular Mountain Retreat that feels a world away from it all, yet is only 20 mins to everything! Rest your body, refresh your mind and restore your spirit. Even one night here does wonders. Perfect location for a getaway with friends or family. Loved having so many single beds and the kitchen had everything we needed! The hot tub and pool were a fun bonus!

Came here with a large group and everyone had a good time. You can enjoy the amazing mountain views while relaxing in the pool or the hot tub. The place was clean as well and you can see some cute deers in the morning. The games room was a nice touch. Andre was really nice and very responsive. Would definitely come back!

The location was beautiful, with mountains and very peaceful. However, the property was not at all in the condition as shown in the photos. The pool was full of algae and needed to scrubbed, not just vacuumed. We got it clear after doing it ourselves but it was not swimmable when we arrived. The landscaping was very overgrown, the exterior paint was chipping off the house, and hot had been relocated to the other side of the property away from the pool which was very challenging with young children. The host did not notify us of the condition of the remodeling happening until the week of the stay, which was well beyond the cancellation period. The missing baseboard resulted in mice running through the master bedroom, and in our food boxes. There’s clear locations where the mice are getting in and out of and we saw 3 run throughout our stay and had to clean mouse poop up each morning.
The house had plenty of kitchen utensils but the DVD player didn’t work, the “games” listed were missing pieces or broken. It’s clear this has been a rental for a while but the additional amenities were subpar at best. You can read the other review from August 4th from a previous guest to get more perspective.
We contacted the host during our stay to let them know if these concerns and they stated the remodels have been going on since the winter, but no where on the listing is this called out. The only notification was the week of our arrival… far too late to make changes to our plans.

We were falling over ourselves over the view. The place was as advertised. The hot tub and pool made for a really fun weekend. It had some clear wear and tear and wasn’t perfect, but we didn’t mind much (pool table was a very small version with no cue chalk; renos ongoing throughout the house which the host warned us about; one of two fridges didn’t work even when plugged in). Andre was an excellent host - responsive and proactive, and was kind enough to allow us some flexibility for our check-out time. We would definitely come back, or try her other property.

Andre was really nice, but sadly this house is in very poor condition with improvements in progress. We were warned the night before we arrived that they had done flooring work but it wasn’t completed. Andre just said the only issue was baseboards not being re-installed. Sadly that was not the case. There is a spot where the tile in the kitchen unevenly meets the new flooring. The transition wasn’t done so there was sharp exposed tile. We had small children and two of them cut their feet. When I mentioned this to Andre the response was “oh really I was just in there walking around in my bare feet & I was fine”. Two year olds don’t look for hazards like adults do. We were also asked to send photos which I found to be offside for sure.
In the upstairs hallway has a small chunk of wood right across the hallway to fill the gap, but it wasn’t even with the floor so we were constantly stubbing our feet on it. Just poor workmanship.

The location is great tucked away from the city with an amazing view. The place was a perfect size for a large group with lots of space for everyone. Lots of room to cook in the kitchen and bbq on the deck. The pool was a great add on to have in the summer heat. The property itself is a great location and house but does need some further upkeep as it is looking a bit run down in parts. Check in process we were given the wrong code for the door and had trouble at first contacting the host as there is very little reception there. Contact host was very helpful and quick to help resolve any issues.

We had a wonderful time at this location. It’s perfect for large groups with multiple rooms and bathrooms. The view is AMAZING! We were nice and close to a hiking location and really enjoyed our outdoors time (even though it poured rain). Would definitely book again.

My friends and I stayed here last year and Andre have done some renovations. We love the new renovation. And as always, Andre has always been very accommodating with my group’s needs. We stayed at Mountainview country house because of its size and location to accommodate our work crew. Everything was as expected at the house and Andre was a accommodating host to our needs. Would certainly stay again at this property if the opportunity arises

This is truly a beautiful setting with a great sundeck to enjoy the compelling majestic mountain view. Our family really enjoyed the weekend here; the kitchen is well suppled; we loved the functional large island especially suitable to gather around and make meals together. (One thing, the light over the stove was out, so it was almost hard to see at times; under- counter lighting would be a vast improvement.) With the options of a games room, the sunken living room, plus the great outdoors, even though we were a family of 17, we could spread out easily. The bedrooms downstairs have been modernized nicely, and two are fairly roomy; unfortunately the window coverings were not completed, so we had to darken some with garbage bags. Perhaps this is something in future that needs attention; in some bedrooms the blinds were not functioning properly; generally heavy room darkening drapes in the rooms would really help. We loved the lovely bathrooms (but be very careful with the large shower room floor in the master bedroom upstairs, as it is very slippery.) It was awesome to enjoy the gorgeous view while in the hot tub under the stars. Another night we had a fun campfire as well (by the side of the house that has a lawn.) Wood was graciously provided and this place is very well supplied in general. Appreciated that there are plenty of chairs on the sundeck, even though some have been overused and are hard to sit on, but greatly helped with the plentiful cushions. We hope to return again, possibly when the outdoor swimming pool is open. Even the country drive there is inspiring! Andre was available for any questions we had, making this a memorable and wonderful getaway.

Have never stayed anywhere with a more spectacular view. Waking up and making a fire while looking out the massive windows was just breathtaking. We all loved our weekend so much especially sailing in the hottub.

One of the reasons we chose the property was it was advertised with a heated pool, hot tub and was on 19 acres. The pool water was not heated and the heating system did not work . We were asked to finish filling up the pool on day two by the owner.The property was not maintained and most of the property was unusable and overgrown . Children cut their feet on blackberry bushes in the yard. On arrival we noticed garbage left on the front porch and a bucket of dirty water on the back porch which remained for our stay. When cooking fuses were constantly blown causing lights out in bathrooms etc. Electrical socket are worn and plugs fall out. A bag of mouldy bread was left in the cupboard. We had to leave a day early as there was an flying ant infestation. The owner did give us a nights stay back which we appreciated. We would expect VRBO’s standards to be better than this.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property.
We were a multi-generation group of 4 adults and two children. We were joined later in our rental by another family of 2 adults and two more children. Having lots of space and bedrooms was a great feature of this property.
Unfortunately the water in the swimming pool was too cold for it to be focus of our late August vacation than we had hoped for. But instead we used the hot tub a lot more than we expected.
The kitchen and house were well-equipped for our group of 10. We especially enjoyed our meals on the outdoor deck.
The owner was very helpful during our stay when we had problems with the satellite WiFi which can be a little problematic (as to be expected).

Spacious home, deck and grounds. Lots of opportunity for kids to have fun swimming and exploring. Huge deck for visiting and BBQ. Lovely view for morning breakfasts too. A large family can comfortably gather and visit on the pool deck which is just a bit away from the house - so kids have freedom to be exuberant! The games room with a pool table was great for family fun - add some music and dancing!! It was a nice surprise to find the games room was totally soundproof. The kitchen had everything you could need. Looks like minor renos and improvements are in progress. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of beds.
Unfortunately we had some smoky days but it didn't deter the fun. Great location. We visited the Cultis Lake Water Park and Adventure Park. About a half hour easy drive.

Our family had a great weekend at this property. The pool was a welcome location for the hot weather. The view was spectacular. There was lots of room on the big deck to enjoy the view as well as find shade in the hot afternoons. Thanks

We would definitely stay here again! Very private and the views were breath taking! The hosts were also very responsive and quick to check in to ensure everything was to our liking ! It’s definitely a trek to get into town so I would make sure to have everything you need prior to your arrival. 100% recommend !
