About this house rental
We can only describe this place as idyllic. Forest on one side, horses on the other and meadows below the stream that runs through the bottom of the garden. Wildlife thrives here. You may discover mink, otters, owls, hawks, herons, crayfish and more. The surroundings make it the perfect place to relax after a day of mountain hiking!
Mossy Rock is a cozy suite on the lower level of our 4100 sf Villa on the hillside of Ryder Lake, BC.
The cozy suite takes up half of the garden level of the house. We reside in the other half and the top floor. We are two adult couples and two small dogs
The 20 x 40 foot pool is an oasis during the summer heat waves! (The pool and it's hot tub are closed October 1st to May long weekend) The second hot tub is under the sundeck, overlooking the property with mountain views is always available, heated year round!
The barbeque and dining table are under the cover of the sun deck, near the hot tub, for those rainy days of autumn.

Very beautiful views. Hot tub was excellent. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Property is very well kept. Beds were clean and comfortable. Perfect for friends or a family. Rural-ish location out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few things that we weren't thrilled about. In the VRBO description it never described that they are way up in the mountain, which really is not too bad, but should we had known we wouldn't have carried our bikes for nothing as it is not adequate for going for bike rides. The Wi-fi was spotty at best and there was no accessibility for streaming movies, should we had know we would have brought blue -rays to watch. The seating arrangements were very uncomfortable as there was only one love seat. There was a sofa bed but it was in the big room where the king size bed is which is also where a twin bed is located, not great sleeping arrangements when there are 5 adults. The big bedroom is shared. In relation to peace and quiet, most definitely is very serene and peaceful. When it came to using the pool and jacuzzi we needed to ask for it to be opened every single time ( a bit inconvenient if the owners were not around, I mean they were around most of the time but you needed to ask)
