Nestled in Rio Del Mar, this attractive house for $400 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Santa Cruz County Rental Permit # 201383. We invite you to enjoy our beautiful 2400 square foot home in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for families to share a relaxing vacation at the beach! Walk 10 minutes to Rio del Mar Beach, right next to Seacliff State Beach, where you'll find a convenience store, a deli, a restaurant and a coffee shop, as well as free beach parking. Santa Cruz and Capitola are a short drive away. This 2 story, 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home features an open floor plan you'll love, beautiful kitchen and ocean views from all bedrooms and living areas. The upper and large lower decks provide additional areas for you to relax and enjoy your getaway. Upstairs you'll find one primary bedroom with bath, separate tub and shower and walk in closet. The family room features a gas fireplace, 65' LED smart TV and sectional sofa. The upper deck has panoramic ocean and beach views. The dining room has seating for 8, as well as a bar attached to the kitchen that seats 4 more. The fully equipped kitchen features newer appliances, including a dishwasher and wine refrigerator. You'll also find a half bath and washer/dryer upstairs. The spacious lower level includes a second primary bedroom with private full bathroom, as well as a 3rd bedroom and separate bathroom. The family room with 47' LED flat screen TV opens onto the large lower deck, also with beautiful ocean views. You'll also find a patio table that seats 6, a gas BBQ, a propane fire pit for keeping you warm on chilly seaside evenings. The garage is stocked with bikes, scooters and beach chairs, as well as sand toys and boogie boards for your enjoyment. Aptos and the surrounding areas have something for everyone! Golf, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, shopping and dining in Capitola, hiking, surfing, fishing, biking and much much more! Reserve now and begin planning your fun/relaxing/memorable time at the beach! *Guests bringing extra people and guests having gatherings at the house has become an issue in 2023/24. If you are wondering whether to book a stay at this Aptos home, the answer should be "Yes"! We were 6 adults in our 40s and 50s traveling together for a birthday, and were so pleased with the property. First, the location is perfect--about a 3 minute drive to the beach, less than 10 minutes to groceries, coffee, restaurants; 15 minutes to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk; 30 minutes to Monterey. The house itself is beautiful--we loved the art, the views from EVERY window (including in all of the bedrooms), the decks, the double living rooms, and an amazing kitchen with more than you could possibly need for cooking. That kitchen really is a big deal--not only is it roomy and beautiful with great views, but it is ready for groups like ours that want to cook together. The bedrooms are spread out so that everyone has privacy, and everyone has their own bathroom. Even the neighborhood where this house is located is idyllic with other lovely yards and homes, and a great feel.
I will not hesitate to book Jody's house again in the future. It was a truly unique and lovely home that was great both as a jumping off point to local attractions, as well as to hunker down and enjoy time with family and friends.

The property had great space for us and our adult children to spend time together at the kitchen table, living room, decks, and using the bocce ball court, and also allowed separation with the 2 BR/2bath, and living room downstairs for the kids to play video games and watch TV. The location was a 10 min walk to the beach, and 15 min drive to Capitola and Santa Cruz, and close to Hwy 1 to go to Henry Cowell State park. The house had great kitchen and supplies for cooking and having a few drinks. My only suggestion would be for maybe a new beds. Beds were really soft, so didn't sleep well. We loved staying here! The house was great, comfortable enough for our family reunion. The beach was a short walk away. Lovely view from the upper deck. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed. Kids were entertained by the various board games and loved the beach equipment in the garage. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The house is incredibly comfortable and everything presented in the listing is accurate. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and felt completely relaxed when we left. Had a couple of text communications with renters. They responded in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family had the greatest time at this house for our 1st vacation of the summer! Beach is super close to the house, never had any issues parking at the beach either. Home has all the amenities needed and then some! House was very clean and spacious as well. Loved the views from the deck too! We most definitely would stay here again!

Home was newer and updated and very spacious. 2 separate floors with separate living rooms and both with balconies to take in the view. Bocce court was appreciated as we always enjoy that game. Note that the driveway is very very long and very very steep. It's a challenge getting a large vehicle up and turned around. You can't back down the drive. also, you don't want to walk it unless you are in great shape. Given that we would rent this home again as it's comfortable for 3 couples to stay with the 3 bedrooms and multiple living areas.

The property shown in pictures is true! Communication with the owner was very easy. Loved that the house had needed paper items. Neighborhood very nice and friendly. We truly enjoyed our time. We would recommend this house to anyone!!!

Every room and deck face the ocean and you can hear the waves too! We had a 15 month baby and the baby gate that was provided to block access to the downstairs worked perfectly! Instructions that were given were great and once there, a large binder provided even more info. The walk down the driveway was not an option for the 71 year old, but other members of the family could do it. We enjoyed our stay so much. The owner did text me when we arrived to let me know one of the toilets may run too much, but I had just one issue when we first arrived and that was all. Well-stocked kitchen. Since we had our Thanksgiving feast there, we did have to run to the store for a few spices, but there was a lot that was supplied. We loved it!

This property was much better in-person, than the pictures showed online!! My entire group of six adults (30+) was blown away by the location at the top of a private long driveway, cleanliness, quiet neighborhood, and views this property provided. Not to mention how convenient restaurants, golf, shops, and beach activities were. We were pleasantly surprised, as we all felt the pictures online did not do this property justice. The house is very modern and updated throughout. My entire group said they'd rent this property again if/when we return to the area. We played Pebble Beach and enjoyed Monterey, which were only about an hour drive south, and also ventured into Santa Cruz to check out some local eateries and tourist spots. All-in-all it was an excellent stay! Thank you to our host, Jody!

To put it simply the house is stunning!! The view is amazing and just perfectly situated for a nice and relaxing weekend with friends! This house was just about perfect for my family to spend a week of home school/work and enjoy the outdoors as well. 10 minute walk to the beach (14 minutes back because of the hill but it’s not bad.) The kitchen was super nice and well stocked. Very clean. The views and decks were amazing. Loved watching hummingbirds flitting amongst the lavender from the deck. A nice selection of games and movies. Bocce ball and cornhole, boogie board and beach gear. Just really nicely set up with everything you need. Great WiFi for zooming into school and work. Cell service with sprint and AT&T was fine. Lots of room for everyone to have their space. The one thing I would have really appreciated was at least one king bed. The bedrooms are all plenty big enough. I hope next time it’s time to replace a mattress this feature is added. If you have a chance, while in the area, visit Point Lobos, which is about 40 minutes away and is one of the most beautiful and unique natural places on earth.

The house and location exceeded our expectations. Beautiful spacious home with a fantastic view and at night you could hear the waves crashing. The kitchen and living room area are ample and large size perfect for entertaining.
