About this condo rental
Situated in Steamboat Springs, this charming condo for $783 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. DISCOUNTS ALWAYS AVAILABLE! * Last minute available dates are always reduced. * Longer stays and bookings which fill an existing gap in our calendar - even a short one - receive a discount. *We want to fill our calendar and will always gladly work with guests to encourage bookings! We require only 20% of rent and taxes to guarantee a booking. Balance is due 90 days before the stay begins. When you arrive at Emerald Lodge’s exclusive location at the base of the mountain, you will know that you chose wisely. On entering the home, you will be awed by warm mountain peaceful feel. Why stay here? In a few words, peace, You could choose a property downtown - but you would unlikely be within walking distance of the Gondola, restaurants and shops right at the base of the mountain that are only a short 5 minute walk. Inside the bright, open 2,200 square-foot home you will find a layout centered on an expansive living room, which opens to an inviting deck that can hold a large group. Gather outside to watch the kids swim below in one of nine swimming pools or just relax while grilling up dinner. Emerald Lodge is also perfect for five couples, each having bedroom with private bathrooms, majority of them with ensuites. Two families with children works equally well, both families having their own "wing". The house is centered on the large great room, that also opens to the kitchen and dining room making it great for entertaining. Sleeping accommodations are divided into two wings, one on each side of the property, one with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, the other with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The house sleeps up to 12-14 adults in the bedrooms. Details are: Left Side: One King master; ensuite with double granite vanity, jetted tub, separate shower and toilet. Bunk bedroom that contains 2 bunk beds: 1 bunk that has a full over full and 1 bunk that has a twin over twin It has a detached full bathroom with a shower and vanity. Right side: King master; small private deck with sitting table, ensuite with double granite vanity, toilet and shower, as well as a large closet. Queen with detached private bathroom with tub and shower combo as well as vanity and toilet. King with ensuite private bathroom with tub and shower combo as well as vanity and toilet. The parking garage provides a heated parking spot after a long travel through the weather to help melt the snow off the vehicle. There are also 3 additional guest spots in the garage as well that are a first come first serve basis available for guests with additional vehicles. After garage parking there is also additional parking directly across the street from the property at the main lobby building that provides covered and uncovered parking. Also included is a ski locker for all your ski needs on the first floor so there’s no hassle in lugging all of the ski gear up the elevator. This is our home and we welcome you to it. Our mission is to ensure that, like us, having discovered it you will want to return again and again.

We are a family of 7 ages from 3 to 68. This place allowed us to have our own rooms and privacy while still having quality family time. The place was lovely. Location for us was excellent. Easy checkin and checkout.

This condo was perfect for our group of 8, which consisted of 2 families with 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from age 12-17. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms, and the shared space was great. The kitchen floor was pretty dirty and the fans had a lot of dust on them when we arrived. Other than that, the place was clean. The kitchen was well-stocked, but could probably use some better oven mits and regular sized spoons, but those are minor things. The condo was very convenient to get to the slopes (we walked some and rode the free shuttle a lot) and a short drive from downtown Steamboat. The pool and hot tub were great, as was the exercise room. We would definitely stay here again!

The experience started off great. The condo was ready for check-in early, the kitchen was well-stocked (the knives were excellent!), there was a nice grill on the balcony, and the location was great - an 8-minute walk to the base of the gondola. The shuttle system was great - very reliable, punctual, and convenient. You definitely do not need to rent a car. Just don’t forget to tip the drivers! The management company was also excellent and very attentive.
Prior to arriving, I messaged the host a few times, and she responded quickly to my first inquiry. However, I messaged her two additional times with some questions, and she was completely unresponsive. It wasn’t until I messaged her during my stay to let her know that she had mold in her condo that she called me right away. There are some key things that should be addressed immediately:
• There is mold in the condo! And I’m not talking about a little bit of mold here or there. The queen bedroom has a serious mold issue, all over the door leading to the outside and the floor. The property management company had to send someone to spot-clean it with bleach, which in my opinion, does not address the root issue. My brother and sister-in-law definitely had respiratory issues, which compounded the elevation/dry conditions we all were dealing with.
• All of the doors that lead to the outside area (bedrooms and living room) were stuck shut and took a brute amount of force to open. It’s odd that wood doors were chosen during construction, seeing that wood expands when wet. So when snow/ice melts, the doors expand and get stuck shut.
• The queen bedroom has no dresser and zero drawer space for clothing. On top of having to deal with mold, you have to live out of your suitcase. Although there’s a small closet, its hardly enough room, and the lack of drawer space was extremely disappointing.
• Although the robes for the hot tub were a nice touch, the queen bedroom did not have any, so we had a couple who were robeless.
• There was not one full-length mirror in the condo.
• There was no oven mitt in the kitchen, so we had to use the thin dish towel to take things out of the oven.
• The garbage can in the kitchen was so small. The bags were big, but the bin itself was half the size of the bag (or maybe even smaller). With 12 people staying here, you can imagine how much trash we accumulated.
For the cost of renting this place, I would’ve expected more.

This was fine. I’ve stayed at Trappurs Bear lodge mainly and this was not as updated and nice as Bear lodge. Condo is big, has plenty of bathrooms and seating for a big group. Easy to walk to lift. Hot tub in complex is tiny and fits maybe 8 people. Checkin could’ve been better due to a simple mistake on their part.

My family of 5 spent our Thanksgiving week at this lovely condo. It’s well kept, spacious and has everything you need to be comfortable. There was an issue with the cleaning fee being charged upfront and again at the time if check in. It was remedied after contacting the property manager. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!!

Not even sure the pictures do it justice! Incredible! Amazingly clean, so many amenities provided- toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, baggies, grill, really came with it all! Our kiddos had a blast in the pool! All towels provided too. Met so many nice people, many owners.
Amazing mountain town that we really hadn’t heard of.
Three families combined to meet here - our family of four, sister with her husband and four kids, and then a set of grandparents. Layout was amazing. Our family took one side of the house which had two bedrooms, each with a bathroom and even a hallway door which was perfect. Grandparents took the bedroom off the kitchen/living room which had a bathroom. The other family took the other side of The house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Property had a main balcony off living room which had wonderful outdoor furniture and you could see the pool. The other balcony wss off a bedroom.
So many amazing things to do in steamboat on summer - we planned for gemstones, mini golfed, did tons of swimming, hiked fish creek falls, got ice cream at fuzziwigs, did the gondola up the mountain and hiked - would highly recommend this place for families!
We are just a middle class Iowa family and this completely went beyond our expectations! And Lindsay was very easy to communicate with!

The check in process was slightly confusing for a first time guest, the check in staff was very helpful! The VRBO was beautiful & clean and had a fully stocked kitchen for any cooking guests may want to do! Our trip was in the summer and was such an easy commute to the downtown area, but I can only imagine how amazing of a location this spot would be for ski season!
