About this house rental

Nestled in Corolla, this charming house for $549 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Welcome to Seas the Day Corolla, a perfect home-away-from-home in the Outer Banks! Whether you come to Corolla for the wild horses, Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, or the unbeatable beaches, you’ll love staying at Seas the Day. We’ve put a lot of thought into equipping the house with everything a family might need for a fantastic vacation — so that you barely need to bring a thing! Plus, our keyless entry system and included laundry service mean no time wasted picking up a key or dropping off laundry! Some of the amenities that our guests have loved most include the bikes, bocce court, beach gear, and kids' recreation room. And of course don’t forget to try the hammock, multi-game arcade, ping-pong table, and hot tub! As part of the Villages at Ocean Hill community, your stay also includes (all within minutes’ walk): private access to the beach, two swimming pools (open Memorial Day through Labor Day), a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a turtle-filled lake (they love Cheerios!). The house is located about 3 blocks from the beach — a quick 2-minute drive or bike ride, or a pleasant 8-10 minute walk. It is also a 2-minute drive from the wild horse sanctuary of Carova Beach (4WD-accessible), and a 5-minute walk from the nature trail leading to the sound. Miles of newly paved paths just outside the community are perfect for biking, running, or walking. Just down the block is the awesome Corolla Adventure Park, where you can take on the ropes course, do some axe throwing, and grab a beer or root beer float! The house itself is a spacious and relaxing retreat. The heart of the house is the open-concept top floor, which has high ceilings, lots of light, and great views of the lighthouse. This floor includes a full kitchen with bar seating, dining table, and sweetheart table (total seating for up to 14); a half-bathroom; and three comfy couches for lounging — plus a screened-in porch with table and chairs, and sliding glass doors to a deck with sun loungers. The well-stocked kitchen includes plenty of glasses, tumblers, dishware, cookware, and appliances (including a blender, coffeemaker, 4-slot toaster, and toaster oven) as well as a cooler for days at the beach. The living area comes equipped with a flat-screen smart TV, DVD player, surround-sound stereo, and lots of games and puzzles. And of course, there is free WiFi, enhanced with a Google Mesh network that ensures a strong signal on every floor. The master bedroom is also located on the top floor, with a king-size bed, full bath, flat-screen Roku TV, and sliding glass doors to the hot tub deck. The second floor is home to three bedrooms. Another master bedroom here features a queen-size bed, full bath, flat-screen Roku TV, and sliding glass doors to a wraparound deck with a rope hammock where you can read, nap, and daydream. The "First Flight" room is perfect for a young family or up to 4 kids, with a full+twin Duo Bunk bed and a separate twin bed. The "Wild Horse" room has 2 twin beds that can easily be pushed together if you prefer to have a king size bed. Rounding out the second floor are a large full bathroom and laundry area with washer, dryer, and extra towels, as well as another main entrance off the hammock deck to the house. The last bedroom on the ground floor doubles as a recreation room, sure to be the kids’ favorite! A two-player multi-game arcade and a foosball table offer hours of fun, along with a TV/DVD/stereo setup and mini-library of books. This room contains a full+twin Duo Bunk bed as well as a pullout sleeper sofa and a loveseat. The ground floor also has a half bathroom. Outside, challenge your housemates to a ping-pong tournament using the best-in-class ping-pong table. Try your hand at bocce — or hop into the 7-person hot tub to soak up the good life and unwind. When you’re planning your activities, be sure to check out the bikes, and beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, boogie board, and toys) we’ve provided! There are also two full sets of golf clubs (adult size) if you should want to hit the links! And when you’re back from the beach, the private outdoor shower (with both hot and cold water) is the perfect way to rinse off and unwind. Please note: -For our guests' safety, the house is protected by exterior Ring cameras, one overlooking the front driveway area and the other overlooking the back patio/bocce/hot tub area. -We have a families-only rental policy, as the house is set up for a mix of kids and adults. We were three family for one week from 8 to 60 years old, ten persons. The space was good, enough to eat, to have our space when required and to circulate without stepping on our toes. The material in the kitchen was ok. The pans could be more recent because they have curb in hit and the caldron bigger. The mattress in general are too soft and we can feel the spring in some. The material (umbrella) for the beach is broken (two out of three). The place is well located, a little walk to the beach (8 to 10 minutes) and it’s good to have a buggy. It is calm, very clean and we had a very good time.

It was a great beach vacation. Property can use some upgrades on outside furniture but other than that is it clean and neat and has lots to offer.

We loved Seas the Day! It was perfect for our family of 6. All the kids had their own rooms. We had plenty of room and enjoyed all the amenities.

We enjoyed the properties offerings. There were lots of options to keep the 7 children in our group entertained. We enjoyed the bikes, hot tub, bocce court, ping pong table, and arcade game. The community recreation center and amenities was so close and great for the children. We played tennis, basketball, used the jungle gym and swam in the pool. The hiking trail just off the back of the property was a convenient and beautiful way to walk to the nearest beach access. A great week was had by all.

This property is a dream come true for an extended family vacationing together. Multiple levels mean that there’s privacy for those who want it but the large living room/eating area and extensive decking means there’re places for all to gather. The kitchen was the best supplied I’ve found among the 5+ VRBOs I’ve rented. The property is nestled into a subdivision for maximum quiet while still only about four blocks from the ocean. Two pools also provided lots of fun. This home is located near the end of paved roads in Corolla meaning much of the congestion of the lower OBX is avoided. Jean and Peter were responsive to questions we had. All twelve of us had a wonderful time and I will not hesitate to recommend it to more Midwesterners - It’s well worth the trip!

We love the house … I don’t have a lot of negative things to say just that the house needs a deep clean due to cob webs and spiders inside and out… on every floor. The only other thing was having to change bedding and remake beds before we leave and we.felt that the cleaning service should have done all that. The location is awesome and the house otherwise is awesome and the owners kept us well informed and in contact the entire stay!
