Situated in Galiano Island, this attractive cottage for $229 per night is a great option for your next trip. Situated in spectacular Whaler Bay a quick 5 minute walk from the Sturdies Bay Ferry Terminal and all amenities - A calm serene bay with stunning views down the bay and beyond, perfect for swimming, paddle boarding and launching your kayaks or canoes. View our resident kingfisher perched on his pole, otters playfully frolicking stirring the glass-like water, watch for 'Sammy' the seal who comes round in the evening to check things out and watch the herons skillfully fish for their dinner. Galiano is also the perfect spot to see the many pods of whales that travel through our waters in the summer time. We are available for rent year–round. So cozy–up to the wood burning fire and enjoy a good book in the winter or sit out on the deck with a refreshment on those hot summer days. Recently redecorated bright open–space living & dining area with a cozy fireplace. Fully furnished 2 bedroom cottage, 1 queen and 2 double beds, and 1 full bath. Our fully supplied kitchen comes stored with dishes, cookware and appliances so you don't need to worry. The fireplace is a cozy accessory for those crisp winter days and fall evenings. The large 300 sq. ft. deck is the perfect place to relax on the deck chairs and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and views of spectacular Whaler Bay. There's also a propane barbecue so you can grill up your summer faves. Enjoy the bounty of Provincial Parks, spectacular views, and wildlife every where you go and breathe that fresh island air. The natural beauty of Galiano Island invites relaxation, exploration and excitement. Andrea was a wonderful host. The cottage was clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. Beautiful views and quiet location with easy access (5 min walk) to terrific bakery & restaurants. Easy launch of kayaks with the tide in. Lots of wildlife - osprey, harbour seals, deer. Short drive to Montague Harbor. Can't wait to return!

I really enjoyed this cottage and all the lovely design touches. It’s a great location to ferry and to shops for walking. It’s comfortable, simple and clean. The water is beautiful to watch the tides come in and out and the changing wildlife and colours are mesmerizing.
The island is magnificent and the hikes and walks are spectacular and less developed than other gulf islands. Slower pace here which is so wonderful.

The cottage was just lovely and was very clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was beautifully renovated and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The cottage has a fabulous waterfront location where we watched deer, herons, woodpeckers and owls right off the deck. Very relaxing, quiet and peaceful location that is close to the ammenities. We went on many fantastic day hikes with stunning views, wildlife and awesome sandstone rock formations. We would return in a heartbeat to this little gem of a cottage on Galiano Island.

Negatives: The cottage was quite small; some surfaces were dusty; the Wi-fi rarely worked.
All in all, it was a good place and we enjoyed our time at the cottage.

My 9 year old had an absolute blast at this great rental unit. She could take her floatie right off of the grass and into the water when tide is in. She loved walking thru the bay when tide was out as well. Sunsets from the lawn and deck were absolutely beautiful as well as seeing some deer and otters on and near the property. Walking distance to the local store, coffee shop and restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay and even on a less than sunny day we still managed to get out and enjoy the scenery and beaches.

Great week
My 9 year old had an absolute blast at this great rental unit. She could take her floatie right off of the grass and into the water when tide is in. Most surprising, however, was how spacious & bright the cabin was upon entering: a wide & open kitchen/dining/living space with a massive deck overlooking the bay; good sized bedrooms at either end of the cabin, and a lovely new bathroom (great shower!) tucked away off the foyer. Minutes to the little commercial area for wonderful baked goods etc. The perfect cottage for our first-ever Galiano Island getaway.

A perfect cottage for a break away from the hustle and bustle.
Very well appointed With plenty of condiments cookware and dinnerware. The wood burning fire was a bonus and had plenty of firewood. Did have a minor issue but the host were available and very onto it very quickly thank you.
