About this house rental
Our beautiful home is located in the heart of the majestic redwood trees of Fort Bragg, Calif. This ideal location, which lies on 10 acres, is spacious and private, while still close to sightseeing and amenities. Just a mere 5 minutes from town and less than a mile from MacKerricher State Beach Park - famous for its white water surf, sandy beaches, and trails to hike and bike. The large 1000-square foot wrap-around deck is perfect for entertaining, barbecuing, soaking in the hot tub or just relaxing with a good book. Host a game of cornhole with family and friends, or maybe a good game of ping-pong to start off your vacation. Just off the deck there is a huge backyard that offers plenty of room to play football, horseshoes, wiffle ball, or kick-the-can. This home sleeps 10 comfortably and is perfect for large groups or smaller intimate parties. The large fully- equipped kitchen can accommodate any chef from the seasoned foodie to the simplistic cook or barbeque on the large gas BBQ on the deck. Open kitchen design with a four-burner stove and double ovens, stainless refrigerator with water filter, microwave, and dishwasher. The spacious living room has panoramic glass windows that looks out into the redwoods letting in plenty of natural light. The room is complete with a wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV, Netflix, DVD and is perfect for enjoying movies or games by the fire. The main house has three bedrooms and two full baths. The large master bedroom has a Calif. King, double closets and mounted flat screen TV/DVD. The other two rooms are equipped with queen beds and mounted flat screen TV/DVD as well. Master bath has a walk-in shower and soaking bathtub. The main house is perfect for adults and small children. Additional attached kids/game room has four twin beds and a couch. Kids/game room has a large flat screen TV/Netflix/DVD, electric fireplace/heater, foosball table.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely home in the woods. It was spacious, comfortable and quiet with a well appointed kitchen, a cost fireplace and even bikes in the garage. We would definitely come back.

This property met and exceeded my expectations! The property was clean and well maintained. Quiet, peaceful location in the redwood trees. The kitchen was well stocked! We were greeted with a fabulous bottle of wine which we all enjoyed! Highly recommend!!!!

Beautiful home Private, the house itself is beautiful. The land it sits on was fast 10 acres of property, beautiful redwoods on the property that you can sit in the middle of and just meditate or lay a blanket out and read a good book 10 minutes or less from the beach. The food on the wharf was amazing. Quaint little town that it sits in and the people were awesome.. Definitely we'll be coming back here again.

Three generations of family enjoyed this property for our annual summer vacation. Plenty to do and space to enjoy the house and everyone was comfortable at night. Owner is very quick to respond when needed. Kitchen is well stocked for meals in, and location is very close to beaches and town. Looking forward to returning!

The house was clean and stocked with essentials. It was nice and big with an amazing deck and yard for the kids to play. We had an awesome time.

We loved the place. Except, we were surprised when we found that the room with the 4 beds for our grandgirls wasn’t exactly attached to the main part of the house. We ended up having an adult sleep with the kids every night. We did not feel comfortable letting them sleep in the room by themselves.

Two couples and two dogs….pure bliss. This is an amazing property and the dogs really enjoyed roaming the 10 acres. We will definitely try to stay here the next time we are in Ft Bragg.

House was very comfortable and clean. The grounds were really fun for playing and exploring. Hot tub was super. Location really good. And the kitchen was well equipped and fun to cook in.

My husband and I, our two grown daughters, their husbands and 4 children had a most spectacular week at this lovely home! The house had everything we needed and more! Beautiful kitchen, view, bedrooms, bathrooms - and a fabulous bunk room for the four grands. We saw deer every day, took pleasant walks to the beach and just thoroughly enjoyed our time there. What a great property! Very private with a huge yard, expansive deck, and giant wood burning fireplace. for marshmallow roasting! Our whole family, including our dog, had a marvelous time! Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a wonderful time at Kari’s home. It was beautiful and in a beautiful setting. It was very peaceful and private. We enjoyed spending time on the deck in the morning and seeing the deer and wild turkeys. We look forward to renting this property again. Thank you!

We had a great time at this house! It is well equipped for family vacations. The hot tub, the foosball table and GREAT bay windows next to the the kitchen/dining room looking out at early morning wildlife and trees was just perfect for our family. Highly recommend!

Literally felt like home away from home. The house was perfect, it had absolutely everything you needed. The property was so big to wander around, there were lots of games to keep the family entertained. The hot tub was a plus in the cool nights. Our family enjoyed the house very much. I would love to come back and stay here again.

The location was outstanding. Close to everything, yet secluded and peaceful. The house exceeded our expectations. It is nestled among beautiful redwoods with extensive open space for all to enjoy. There was plenty of room for everyone.
We only had 2 issues. The hot tub was low on water and the filter was in need of cleaning. My husband took care of it. The BBQ was a bit of a pain to light, but we got the hang of it. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We had a great time.

Very nice, secluded property. We were able to relax and unwind. Perfect location. Close to town, close to the beach and you can hear the ocean from the house! Everything about our stay was perfect. From the communication and booking with Kari to the checkout process and everything in between. In my mothers words, “it’s like a private botanical garden with the most perfect vacation home”. So happy we booked this stay for our family and even with our little children it was a great space! Loved the proximity to the ocean and the neighborhood was private but rich with life and farm animals that our children loved. We can’t wait to have future stays in this pristine location and amazing get together space. Hot tub and deck were are huge plus!

This home was perfect for my family beach getaway. The home is very comfortable and a perfect setup for my group of 2 adults and 6 kids, including 3 teenagers. The home has very nice ocean theme decor in each room. We loved the Easter bunnies and flowers!
Lost power for a short time due to wind. The owner was quick to respond, letting us know where to get flashlights, etc.
The family enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table after a day at the beach. The owner supplies lots of nice big towels for bathing and for hot tub.
My only suggestion would be to update the house number sign at the entrance to the property. It is difficult to see even in the daytime.
I would definitely book this property for future trips.

The location was perfect, close to everything, quiet, and private. We loved every minute! Kari is great to work with and took care of the only problem we had immediately. I was very impressed!

I have rented many vacation homes in numerous places and countries ,elaborate and homey, expensive and moderately priced and many in between, but I think this was my favorite ever. The attention to the comfort of their guests in terms of cleanliness, an amazingly well appointed and large kitchen, comfortable furnishings., bedding, towels, etc. etc, bespoke a generous host who was actually sharing something they cared for with you, creating an exceptional feeling of welcome, and relaxation. The house was lovely,. The grounds were fantastic, exquisite, expansive and provided endless imaginative outdoor adventures for the kids among the gorgeous redwood stands. Also everything in the house functioned perfectly. So much better maintained than my own. Really just perfect and way beyond one’s usual expectations of a vacation rental.

Lovely, comfortable house in the redwoods and a short walk to the beach. The house is very well appointed - all the kitchen items you could need, comfy beds and even firewood for the cold nights in the winter. We felt very well taken care of and hosted by Kari. Appreciated the little touches like bringing the hot tub up to temperature, preset logs the in the fireplace and sharing details on how to enjoy the house. Especially appreciated the holiday decorations! We would stay again.

We can't agree more with the other reviews. Great property in private setting. We've been renting vacation homes in the Ft. Bragg area for over twenty years. This was by far the most well supplied and equipped rental we've come across. House was clean and beds very comfortable. Only downside to our trip was we didn't schedule a longer stay!

We are fans of Cleo’s/Fort Bragg, and this was a quintessential experience for this area. We rode bikes and appreciated that there were additional cruisers in the garage. The kids liked having their own space—the room with single beds was like an attached bunkhouse. We had plenty of space and were close to walks to the beach; and only 5 mins by car to Ft. Bragg. We loved the property and exploring the grounds.

The house was equipped with everything you will ever need while your stay. The rooms and beds were neat and tidy. The outdoor setting was clean and kids had a lot of fun running, scootering, and bicycling around.
The bathroom flush was old and tricky, however, we got used to it as we spend more time.
