Nestled in Hood River, this charming condo for $168 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The Secret Spot features modern cabin styling with concrete floors (radiant heat) and lots of natural wood and fun / social living space. Located just west of the downtown business district of Hood River, there are unobstructed views of Mt. Adams and the Columbia River. Located in a quiet neighborhood and separated from the noise, traffic and congestion of downtown, we are a short, safe walk to two of the best breweries in the Northwest, if not the world! The grocery, liquor store and pharmacy are ¼ mile to the west. This is a 1st floor (daylight basement), full size apartment, with private entrance that is the ground floor. The apartment has a full-size kitchen with an eating bar that is open to the dining and sitting area. There is also a cozy patio / deck area that is protected by a large oak tree which provides nice shade in the summer. The Secret Spot faces north toward the view of the Columbia River and Mount Adams. It is well insulated and can be made to stay cool and comfortable on the hottest days. *This is the bottom floor of a 3-story house (2nd and 3rd floors are a separate living space). *Weekly discounts may not apply for July and August stays that begin or end on a Saturday. *Many pets are allowed but must be discussed prior to booking and described (age, breed, size) in a reservation request. The Pet Fee is for ONE PET. Additional pets may require an additional fee and / or deposit. The Rental Agreement has more pet details. • Off-Street Parking for 2 Cars (a big deal in the summer) • Large Open Kitchen with tile countertops • 40-inch Television / DirecTV • High Speed Internet / Wi-Fi • Private Deck / Patio area Check in 3pm – Check out 10am. The home is located near the intersection of 15th and Columbia in downtown Hood River. On the day of your arrival the exact address and access instructions (a unique entry code) will be provided after the home has been professionally cleaned and prepared for your arrival (by 3:00pm). Instructions will be delivered by text to the telephone number you have provided. We will use the contact information you provided when you made your reservation, unless otherwise instructed. There is a “welcome book” on the kitchen counter. It contains information about Hood River, house rules and answers to other questions you may have about the home and its use during your stay. Pets are NOT allowed without specific discussion prior to booking. See above and Rental Agreement or ask for details. Smoking / vaping is not allowed anywhere on the property. Maximum occupancy of 4 unless allowed for in the agreement. Inquire for discounted rate and terms for stays of two weeks, or more. Full payment must be made 28 days prior to arrival. No "Instant Book" for stays of 30 days or more. Please make Reservation Request. License number 559

Our stay was a perfect get away, we also brought our Corgi and each of us found the Vbro relaxing with a nonstop view of Mt. Adams to enhance the experience. The owners thought of every amenity and we will be back for sure! On our last day we took the short drive to Lost Lake- beautiful spot for non motorized water activity

This was far enough away from the main hub to feel calm and peaceful, but close enough to walk to (or stumble, if you've had a bit too much fun at the breweries and wineries) with ease! The owner was friendly and accommodating. Definitely would recommend staying here.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this property very much. Pictures and location were accurate; it was comfortably furnished with all supplies to cook a nice dinner. We were welcomed by a bottle of wine and the property manager was easy to work with and very accommodating. A few quirks were the kitchen counter was not very clean when we arrived and the bathroom shower water nozzle is backwards (hot is cold and cold is hot). Overall - great stay in HR! Thank you.

The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for a weekend in Hood River, plus a deck and a view of the Columbia River. It’s within walking distance of downtown and a short walk to Safeway on a quiet street. Great place, great location!

Nice property in a quiet neighborhood. Clean and spacious units with a nice outdoor seating area looking out over the river.. There are plenty of local services (food, liquor, etc.) although you should be aware that the HR waterfront area is about 1.5 miles away. There is no Uber or Lyft yet in HR, PediCab is a nice option, Matt is super friendly and accommodating and has an electric vehicle available at night. The HR taxi service is unreliable and not thought of highly by the locals. Would definitely stay at this location again.

The property is clean and well maintained; it is also in an excellent location--not too far from central Hood River but also quiet. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the outdoor deck/patio offers a nice view of the river. We would go back in a second.

Great place to stay to visit Hood River and Mt Hood National Forest. Beautiful view of Mt. Adams. 2 separate bedrooms w kitchen that has everything you need. Nice deck area too. Grocery is very close by.

We were very happy with our stay at the Secret Spot. It is a minimalist apartment space, yet very comfortable. It is in the basement area of the property with an entrance around the side of the house and has a large back patio with a grill and great Mountain/River Views. We have two small children, and the set up and fenced in back area worked out very well to contain them. It is about a 10 minute walk to downtown, so nice not having to drive always. I recommend this property and would stay here again.

Hood River is great! Try the “Fruit Loop” if you have time. The house was great. Simple and not much too it, but had everything we needed. There is another rental upstairs, so you can hear them walking and such - but it didn’t bother us or create an issues. Owner is very nice and available to help with anything.

This property is much better than a hotel room, especially for families or groups of more than two people. There are two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. A BBQ is outside the living room on a patio. Despite being there in the middle of summer, the property never got super hot, as it is the lower of the residences. There are also fans in every room.

Everything worked well. The property is clean ( few cobwebs ) . We were there for part of a heat wave but the apartment stayed cool with fans.

Owners were great and the spot was a great landing spot. My knock would be that if you go during the summer, there is no A/C and we were there when the high's were in the 90's and it was very difficult to sleep at night.

Quiet and close to town.

We enjoyed our stay in Hood River at the secret spot. It had everything we needed . We were there during the Eagle creek fire so there were times when Mt.Adams wasn't visible from the patio but on the clear days it was a beautiful view. We took advantage one evening of the gas grill right outside back door on the patio. The walk to Double Mountain brewery for there heirloom tomato pizza was only 10 minutes down the street. We will definitely stay again.

This property looks OK in pictures, but is a great place in person! Brian stopped by to chat and see if we had any needs. Washer and Dryer with detergent on premises. Amazing view, great kitchen with all the basic cooking supplies, and a great location with easy parking. This property was a win!
