Situated in Rio Grande, this attractive villa for $299 per night is a great option for your next trip. This Beachfront Villa is located within the premises of the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort gated community with access to all amenities including a full service spa, 11 restaurants, two 18-hole golf courses, 13 har-tru courts operated by Peter Burwash International, bicycle trails, plenty of water sports, hiking, casino, live entertainment, beauty salon, business center, concierge, and shopping boutiques. The grounds have beautiful, lush, tropical gardens. Covid and the governments response has created limitation on participation and some of the amenities available in Puerto Rico. This situation is very fluid and is changing almost daily. Please keep this Situation in mind when planning a vacation to Puerto Rico. If you like golf, just take any Wyndham Rio Mar Resort's shuttle and you will be in less than five minutes in the Golf Club House where you may play at Greg Norman's 6945-yard River Course and Tom and George Fazio's 6487-yard Ocean Course with its famous oceanfront 16th hole. Our 1,091 sq. ft. one bedroom beachfront villa, which was originally built and operated by the Hotel as a VIP Beachfront Suite, accommodates up to six guests and is just steps away from the beach. It has a master bedroom, one bathroom, a spacious living area with an integrated fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and two beachfront balconies, one outside the living area and the other outside the master room. Both balconies, with views of the ocean and the pools, have tables and chairs for outside dining, reading and relaxation. The master room has 2 queen size beds and the living area has 2 sofa beds, one queen one full. This quiet and relaxing villa was recently remodeled with new furniture, has complimentary WiFi and comes with bed and bath linens and washer and dryer machines. The property is equipped with two air conditioning units, one in the master room and the other in the living room. Also it has microwave oven, refrigerator / freezer, stove/oven, water heater, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, 2 flat panel TV’s with Liberty cable service, and two DVD players. Also it has one assigned parking space with beeper access. The exclusive refuge where this villa is located offers, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a swimming / lap pool, a kids/infant pool and a heated tub all visible from the balconies. The lush green lawns and landscaping are professionally maintained. The beach is literally steps away and the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Hotel, at about 75 meters from the villa, is just a short walk away. Nearby attractions and activities include the Fajardo ferry boat to the Islands of Vieques and Culebra, the Rio Grande El Yunque National Rainforest with it’s majectic waterfalls, the bioluminiscent lagoon of Fajardo, the scenic and historic Old San Juan, a Belz Outlet Shopping Mall in Canovanas and horseback riding, canopy zipline, mountain biking and ATV riding in Carbali, Rio Grande. This condo is the best of all worlds -- it's a great location on the island and a perfect launching point for excursions to Flamenco Beach, the rain forest, and the bio bay. It's also very convenient to be located on the Wyndham complex within walking distance of great restaurants and To Go options. The view isn't photoshopped at all--such a gorgeous landscape. The property owner was super helpful and very responsive. Highly recommend!

This condo is located in a beautiful complex of Wyndham Resorts in Rio Grande, PR. It is located by the pools and the beach. The views from the patios are awesome. The condo is quiet and clean. We had everything we needed when staying there. I would definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends.

This property was just perfect and as described. There were two balconies with picture perfect view of the beautiful grounds landscaping pools and hot tub and the palm trees, beautiful beach and turquoise waters. It was absolutely perfect. The living areas were perfectly sized and comfortable. lots of supplies to enjoy the pools and beach! The convenience of the location to drive to the Marina for excursions out of Ceiba was about 15 - 20 minutes and the to Old San Juan was about 20-25 minutes. Very conveniently located and it is a gated area so it felt very safe. There are many great restaurants close by and the drive to El Yunque was about 10-15 minutes, just a perfect location. combined with the perfect weather it was a perfect stay! Seemed very private and we had an assigned parking space close by so never had to worry about parking. We would definitely come back again to this property as it was perfectly maintained and so enjoyable.

We had a fabulous trip to Puerto Rico! The unit is right on the ocean with fantastic views! The property manager was awesome! We got in really late after the store closed so she ensured we had a few snacks and water in the unit when we arrived and she checked in with us to make sure we arrived safely! The unit had pool toys, beach chairs which came in handy when hanging out on the beach! The main resort is just a short walk and can use the amenities there, which is great, although we stayed on our side, the majority of the trip because it was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for hosting our family!

Euniz is incredibly kind and always quick to respond with whatever you need. The property is in an amazing location, convenient to everything and so very relaxing. I cant say enough about how kind and gracious and accommodating our host was. It made our stay that much more relaxing. Will be staying and again and do recommend for families, couples or anyone wanting to get away.

We found this condo to be super clean and nicely arranged. The beds were super comfortable given they have a foam add on that really helped with the comfort. I highly recommend this ocean villa.

This is such a fantastic property! By the pools, easy access to the beach and right by the parking spot. All new kitchen wares and appliances! Enough toilet paper for the week and coffee for the first day. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back!!! An absolutely perfect location on the property and in Rio Grande.

This complex provides the space and privacy of a condo with access to the amenties of a full service resort including two beach bars and two golf courses. It's the best of both worlds. The location of the unit is very appealing as it is just a few steps away from the beautiful pool. The unit was fully outfitted with everthing we needed. And the owner was very helpful and accessible during our stay. There are grocery stores within a short drive as well as lots of great activities - boating, exploring El Yunque, public beaches, etc. Also, plenty to do within the complex and the pools and facilities are great. This is our third trip with the Wyndham Rio Mar.

Great location. The pictures are accurate. You are one level up overlooking the three pools (actually a fourth small one), and the beach is right behind that. You could be from your room to the pool in under a minute. Wyndham is about a five minute walk away; exit through the front and then take the trail in the back.. You have a full kitchen and laundry area. Everything was great for us. Good Security too. Loved it.

Great location to visit El Yunque and Luquillo. Pool and beach are easy to access. Only downside is the kitchen, if you plan to cook, the pans are old, no spices, no oil, old kitchen set. Outside of that, everything was great!

I think I had the best breakfast of my life at Ekelekua and best birthday dinner ever at La Parrilla! The other 2 restaurants recommended were also fabulous.
Also did the East Island Excursion snorkeling at Culebra. Kids and wife absolutely loved it!
ATV Hacienda Carabali was a blast! Loved the hiking at El Yunque rain forest. Old San Juan was great to visit for the day.

Great apartment, unbeatable view! They left us a bottle of bubbly, which was a nice touch. We had 5 people so we used the pull-out couch, it has an air mattress topper and was comfortable. Check in/out was easy, great location for proximity to other activities - would absolutely stay again!

The only thing I didn’t like about this stay was having to leave. The view is great. The porch is heavenly and everything in the property was immaculate. We were stamps from the pool and could see the ocean from every window and porch. Great breezes and wonderful atmosphere. Really great food within walking distance and the pool wasn’t crowded at all. We spoke to the property manager and she arranged us to have some basic necessities (i.e. water bread eggs etc) to be in the refrigerator when we arrived. After 2 flight cancellations and 3 reroutings to get there it was nice to walk into a space that was ready for us. No problems at all and I will definitely be back.

We loved this location. Such a beautiful view of the pool and ocean from the balconies. The beds were comfortable and the property met our needs. The kitchen is on the small side but it served the purpose for us. The dishwasher was not working when we arrived but the property manager got it fixed for us within 12 hours of us raising the issue, so that was great. Thank you!

Great location! Close to San Juan, the rain forest and Fajardo. The beach and pool are as close as you can get. The outdoor dining and bars at the Wyndham are a three minute walk (including 5 O’clock somewhere). The unit is clean with a nice supply of beach chairs and toys for the kids. This VRBO worked well for our family of five.

What a treat it was to enjoy PR for the first time with my daughter and 2 other friends! The location was superb and kids LOVED the infinity pool!! We had fun at 5 o’clock somewhere Bar and El Yunque exploration was a real highlight too. Thank you so much!

The place is more beautiful than the pictures! We loved it. It’s so relaxing to have a view of the ocean from both balconies. The beach is very private too, only a few families on the beach. There’s a lot to do in the area, make sure you rent a car. We enjoyed so many activities including a tour of San Juan, the rainforest, snorkeling to a private island and the bio bay. We’d definitely stay here again! Thanks Euniz for such a wonderful week!

Let me start off by saying that they have agreed to make things right and were extremely responsive....We arrived being told that everything was up and running except the pool which was at 75%. We were not told that because of COVID we were not able to eat at any of the restaurants on property. We also weren’t allowed to golf and the pool closed at 7. We were told that we could eat at the bar outside by the pool only to literally get kicked out when we sat down. They said that because COVID since we weren’t staying right at the Wyndham or Margaritaville that they could only serve us Sunday through Thursday. Needless to say if we would have known all this, we would have stayed somewhere different. It rained most of our trip so it would have been nice to have some things on property to do and eat at. We were very disappointed.

My husband and I chose Rio Grande for its quiet and peaceful environment away from the big tourist scene of San Juan. This area is enough to close to San Juan and airport to taxi from but far enough that it feels less touristy. Ocean Villa in particular was so quiet and peaceful. We were mostly the only ones in the pool area or in a select are of the beach. The beach is just steps from the villa right Beyond the pool just like the pictures. It felt exclusive. We were just walking distance from the RIo Mar which was much more crowded. We were happy to walk there for amenities such as casino, bar, tour booking info and taxies and happy to walk back to the villa oasis afterwards.
The villa was clean and had everything we needed. It included beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, fully stocked kitchen, Netflix, two super comfortable queen beds and two balconies that Face the pool and ocean. The couch on the balcony was so comfy to nap in or read or meditate. Overall we were so pleased. Euniz was very available and helpful and kind. We will either be coming back this exact villa or recommending it to family and friends.
Comment on safety: all workers are very good about wearing masks properly. Tourists at the big hotel all required to wear masks and security helped people oblige. No masks needed in pool if you are social distanced. There wasn’t many people at the villa so we didn’t need masks, only at the hotel, in taxis and traveling for tours. Even people in Luquillo kiosks wore masks outside and socially distanced in restaurants. Overall the environment was very adapted to COVID and felt very safe. Puerto Rico takes safety seriously and to enter any restaurant they take your temp and hand sanitize.
Comment on travel: you must uber or taxi from airport to rio grande. I recommend taxi so you can call them for your return to airport. No Uber’s are available in the area for quick travel
Or return travel, only taxis and they are expensive. Just to go down the hill and down the street ~1-2 miles to Luqillo beach was $40 round trip. You have to call the big hotel to arrange , then Walk there and sometimes they secure a taxi within 15 min and sometimes they accidentally forget and you have to ask again.
Overall SUPER HAPPY with this stay. We would do it again!!

Amazing- perfect! Clean and comfortable. Had the beautiful beach (1 minute from villa and amazing to swim in- perfect) and the pools were beautiful and perfectly maintained. Staff was all excellent. My husband and I- with our 18 year old daughter stayed here at it was 100% perfect.

This was a wonderful stay. Great place for a small family. Steps from the pools where my kids spent most of our days. 30 min to the airport, 10 from El Yunque, 10 to Luquillo Beach (for a change of pace, great public beach!). Nice restaurants on property (Iguanas for 5 star; 5 o clock somewhere bar for casual family fun). Had a great time, thanks Euniz for the hospitality.

We really enjoyed our spring break in Puerto Rico. The condo was perfect for the needs of our family of five. The ocean was just steps away. The pools and hot tub were great. There weren’t quite enough pool lounge chairs available due to Covid but it wasn’t a big deal. The entire Rio Mar development is much nicer in person than the pictures show. The condo’s location could not be better. We did a number of excursions and they were all a very quick drive away. We definitely do not recommend the Bio Bay kayak excursion. Absolutely a waste of time and money. The zip lining, the horseback riding on the beach, the all day snorkeling trip were close. Even San Juan isn’t that far a drive. The washer and dryer in the condo was really helpful and were used often. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed with plenty of utensils. The reserved parking space directly across the street was convenient. We definitely recommend this condo for anyone who wants a great escape in a relaxing environment that’s close to everything. When we go back to PR, we’d definitely choose this place again. Thanks to Euniz, the property manager, for coordinating our stay.

We had a wonderful time the week of Feb 10-17. The apartment was clean and well-stocked with kitchen items, beach towels, bath towels, etc. It was great to have a kitchen, coffee machine, washer and dryer. Our first day, we went to nearby Famcoop and stocked up on groceries. Although we had very high winds during our stay, we enjoyed the pools, walking on the beach, and eating outdoors at the restaurants at Wyndham next door (an easy walk). The view from the balcony was outstanding -- we spent many hours in one of the two balconies enjoying the warm breeze and taking in the turquoise water. We had a few issues come up (like someone parking in our space, etc) and Euniz was VERY responsive and made sure all our questions were answers and needs were met. Would LOVE to stay again!
