We wanted to stay near Eugene for the Thanksgiving season so that we could visit our grown son who lives there. The location was perfect & easy to find. We arrived later in the evening, so we didn't get to see just how close we were to the McKenzie. What a beautiful treat to experience the next morning. House had everything we needed. Location was close to Springfield, Eugne, & Sisters. If you have the opportunity, stop at a fish hatchery- free & educational! We'd definitely stay here again. Thank you for great communication & providing us with a relaxing, welcoming environment!

Spent two nights here and wish it could have been longer. Beautiful, peaceful location with clean, very comfortable home right on the river. Was just as advertised which is rare! We will definitely come back and bring the kids next time to enjoy fishing on the river.

We enjoyed a great weekend stay at this comfy home on the McKenzie. Four adults enjoyed plenty of space inside and a beautiful deck with a great river view outside. A very quiet escape! The owner was super responsive. Access was easy, kitchen was well stocked, and the home felt clean and welcoming.

Great host very responsive. River was so relaxing, didn't want to go back to reality. One of the cleanest places we've stayed which is nice to see. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the deck! Placement was perfect how it looked like you were hanging over the water.

This property was perfect for our group of 5. We couldn’t have been closer to the river—- and that’s what we wanted! The house was perfect for us. User friendly. Well stocked kitchen, which is important for those of us who like to eat well! Unpretentious place, but totally comfortable. We lived on the deck—- overlooking the McKenzie— I mean seriously, that was the bomb! Grilled yummy stuff every nite— hung out on the comfy chairs on the deck. Laughed. Played games. The outside area of the property is special and is given attention and care, which is obvious. The blue hydrangeas were a color more vibrant than I have ever seen before. The area has burn scars, but the McKenzie is magical! That shines through snd that’s why we were there. We ALL loved our stay there. Definitely 5 stars! Oh—— not to be forgotten—- The owner’s communications are stellar!! He responds fast and effectively. Fabulous!!

Our stay was great! The river is a little strong for littles, but great for plopping down a chair and chilling out. Had a slight issue with the water, but owners were very responsive and on top of it. Would definitely go back! -Jenni

We had a lot of privacy for two couples. Deck overlooked the river. Very quiet. Love the log cabin feel inside but very modern. We went fishing with Ethan Nichols outfitters so very near loading dock. Just relaxing all around.

Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen with newer appliances. Plenty of room for 5 adults. Really clean everywhere. Tall showerheads. Plenty of windows for viewing and airflow. Great fishing - we limited out! Covered deck was well used - even has a heater! Communication with Van was very responsive. Would definitely rent this place again!

Other than no AC downstairs in the TV room, this place is amazing! Perfect landing for a day on the river. Large, clean and very well maintained. The hot spring was a bonus.

Lovely place with all the amenities, a well-stocked kitchen, and a large deck on the wild and scenic Mackenzie River. Perfect for friend or family meet-ups. The property is within a recent burn area, but don’t let that deter you. The people along the Mackenzie are rebuilding with gusto, and just a short drive east on 126 takes you out to some breathtaking hikes and falls and magnificent fishing opportunities. We saw many fishermen and kayakers enjoying the river from our deck. Our only advice is to bring bug spray if you’re there in the summer.

My sister and I try to go somewhere different every year so we tried this house and it was amazing! Everything from the woodstove because it did get chilly to the wonderful deck over the water! The beds were very very comfortable and we had plenty of room in the house and on the deck. I highly recommend this house we will probably be back!

Great location on the McKenzie river.

This is a wonderful home overlooking a spot on the McKenzie river. With 3 bedrooms 2 and a half baths this was just right for 3 couples. The large dining table was ideal for meals and games. The deck is just the right size for gathering and BBQing. There is even a propane heater available if you find yourself out on the deck later in the evening like we did. The step path to the shore is somewhat narrow and challenging. I tried fishing (fly) but in June the water was too swift and high to have any success - not much shoreline to work with. I imagine in the summer or early fall the water would be lower and more fishable. I was able to get my fishing fix in by heading down to Leaburg reservoir. ( I bait fished here) There are a few other lakes nearby, but I only had time for one stop. We ended up with a couple of trout, which was fortunate because one of our couples had an issue with their main course meat and they were able to have a fresh trout dinner instead. This home is also close to many nice hiking spots! We made a point to hike the waterfall trail about a 1/2 hour east on HWY126 - we highly recommend it. After a big day of hiking and fishing it was nice to come back for happy hour on the deck and rest by the running river. Checking in and out was easy. The host (Van) has the process dialed in. Additionally Van was quick to respond to any inquiries.

Such a beautiful view out of every window! The beds were super comfy and plush. Great toiletries for you to use. The linens and towels provided were soft and cozy. Couldn’t have had a better stay. We will be back for sure!
