The Arthur Cabin is surrounded by towering pines in a quiet cul-de-sac in the beautiful town of Shaver Lake with an elevation of 5,500 feet. You can experience the cabin's unique history in a photo album from the clearing of the land to the present remodel. The antiques in the cabin take you back in time while you relax in comfort. A variety of physical and culinary adventures are around every corner in or near the town of Shaver Lake which is only a 3 minute drive. At the lake, you can enjoy boating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or relax on a sandy beach. In the Sierra Mountains, you will find an abundance of hiking trails with spectacular views of surrounding mountain peaks or picturesque lakes and waterfalls. If you take a short drive, you will discover and find Huntington Lake, Kaiser Wilderness, McKinley Grove Redwood Trees, or the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness. Winter enthusiasts can play in the snow at the cabin or head to one of the snow parks. If you enjoy the thrill of downhill skiing, then you are 20 minutes away from the China Peak Ski Resort. There are quite a few restaurants in the town of Shaver Lake that offer a variety of food choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you just want to hang out at the cabin, we have plenty of fun games available for our guests - foosball, air hockey, a pool table, horseshoes, and a cornhole game. The quietness of the deck along with a comfy chair is a great place to sit and enjoy your favorite book. You can even plan a family movie night with over 100 dvd's to choose from. The Arthur Cabin is fully equipped with everything you will need to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for your get together. We personally manage our own cabin and take pride in providing our guests with a clean, fun, and relaxing cabin with lots of character.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic rental, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The kitchen in this rental was a true highlight. It was stocked with everything one could possibly need, from an extensive collection of pots and pans to containers for storing leftovers from our delicious homemade meals. The addition of a well-stocked pantry with spices, oils, coffee, and tea was a delightful surprise. It's the little things like this that make a big difference during a vacation. The location of this rental is also worth mentioning. Being only 30 minutes away from China Peak was incredibly convenient for us, as we were eager to hit the slopes. What made our experience even better was the thoughtful instructions provided by the owner. They gave us two different routes to get to the house, taking into consideration the steep route and potential icy conditions. This attention to detail ensured our safety and ease of access. The combination of a well-equipped kitchen, great location, considerate hosts, and the added convenience of spices, oils, coffee, and tea made our vacation enjoyable. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The cabin was very comfortable and spacious. There was plenty to do to stay busy. The outside fire pit was nice to sit around at night. The basketball hoop was awesome and made great family memories.

The cabin was amazing and had games and toys for all ages. The location was perfect. It was close to lake, shopping, and food. Cabin had written instructions for every thing you needed to know and the host was the best

We had the best time! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we could have asked for. Debi, the owner, was so sweet and very responsive. She reached out a week before the visit and checked in the next day after check in to be sure we had what we needed and all was going well. It's not far from the lake and town. Beautiful and quiet community. We will definitely be staying again for a future trip to Shaver.

The house was extremely clean and very comfy for 8 adults, a toddler and an infant in our family. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the high chair and pack and play ready for our use. Procedures were very clear with signs throughout the house and a check list for checking out. The owner also texted and emailed me with lists of available items in the house and answered all of my questions. We all had a wonderful time at the cabin!

The cabin is so beautiful inside and out. Debi is so sweet and began checking in with me a few days before our stay and a few times during our stay to make sure we were good and not in need of anything. There was plenty to do for all ages. We all enjoyed the game from and the openness of the cabin. We took hikes that were suggested and drove down to the beach that Debi had recommended. We all loved our stay and will definitely be back soon

The cabin was above and beyond our expectations! It is immaculate and well stocked. We were welcomed with snacks and a cute personalized note on the kitchen chalkboard. Debi is an outstanding host, creating a fabulous, comfortable place and offering excellent communication. We will definitely stay again!

Great place to take small children. I have 2 kids 5 and under. The deck is closed in and safe for them to play. Just be carful on the front porch the deck drops off down the hill on both sides. Owner text to check in and see we were doing well. She also left a cute snack back and a Happy Birthday banner for my girls. Would 100% stay again. Heater was new and so warm. It was snowing outside and and we had to have my baby in a diaper with the heater set at 70. Super clean and updated. I have stayed at quite a few rental properties and this by far is the cleanest and well kept property I have ever been in.

The property was well kept. It's close enough to downtown, about 5 minute drive, yet far enough to enjoy some privacy and a quiet neighborhood that allows one to appreciate the sounds and beauty of nature. The property owner was excellent. She provided information in a timely manner, made herself available for any questions, and was very nice. The gas grill was clean and the gas tank was stocked, allowing for an easy and convenient BBQ. I enjoyed this cabin so much, I booked it again.
