On the main floor, this cozy cottage comprises living room, dining room, den/ bedroom with foldout sofa, fully equipped updated kitchen and bathroom . Upstairs has large bedroom with queen size bed, a sitting area with a foldout futon and a large closet. A single airbed is also available. Laundry room in basement with a separate outside entrance. Cottage sleeps 2 - 3 persons comfortably. Can easily accommodate families with two small children. Large deck off kitchen for summer entertaining, comfortable outdoor seating for six and barbeque. TV with local channels and internet access included.

This cute cottage has all the comforts of home. The neighborhood is safe and wonderful for walking. We walked to the Proctor District every morning for coffee and walked to visit our kids at UPS. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a cute cottage. It is very convenient for walking in the Proctor District. Many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and ice cream. Would not highly recommend this home to older folks, as the bedroom is upstairs, (winding steep staircase), and the bathroom is downstairs, off the kitchen. The deck is a great place to relax and have a cocktail or something else. The owners live next door and are happy to answer any questions or assist in any way.

Danny and Teres go above and beyond with extra little touches everywhere. They’ve thought of everything to make your stay extra special. The house is adorable. Quiet, yet close to the Proctor neighborhood. Highly recommend this sweet house and excellent hosts!

We needed a place in Tacoma as we had tickets to a concert. I travelled from Victoria with my daughter and were thrilled with the lovely Thistledown Cottage. We wanted a place with two rooms and the two bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. They thought of everything…blankets for watching TV, multiple ways to make coffee, fans and heaters. We enjoyed the chocolate and sparkling water and beautiful deck and plants. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage.

Enjoyed our 3-day stay. Here’s our list Pros & Cons (we’ll start with the Cons because we want to end on a positive note): Con 1: master suite located upstairs; bathroom located downstairs. Con 2: stairs are narrow; use caution when navigating them in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Pro 1: Location. Pro 2: Property owner lives next door. Pro 3: The backyard deck (hands down) compensated for the two Cons! Pro 4: The bed upstairs in the master was comfortable. Pro 5: The location was safe & quiet Pro 6: And, the personalized message left by the owners was welcoming.

This is a delightful property in a great location. Previous reviews bring up an issue with water pressure but I can testify that the plumbing has been replaced and it has fantastic water pressure. Hope I can stay there again.

Our family had a great stay at the Thistledown cottage. Danny and Teres had snacks and wine for us, and the location is fantastic- close to Point Defiance Park and the Proctor Farmer's market. We were greeted with friendly smiles and good advice on the sights to see. Wonderful stay!

We spent seven days in this two bedroom cottage it was very clean, furnished nicely And well maintained. Neighborhood was nice House across the street had contractors working on their house they started very early. Short walk to markets, shops and restaurants We enjoyed are stay . we would stay there again

Great location. Water pressure is minimal while showering. Lots of recycling to be done while staying there. Afew little "vistors" in the kitchen in the morning.(aunts)

We had a great visit to Tacoma. The weather was fantastic! We could not have stayed in a better place. This house was perfect. It had everything we needed, a nice deck, well equipped kitchen and comfortable sleeping area. Danny and Teres were great hosts. Danny greeted us when we arrived. We were welcomed with chocolate and a bottle of wine. Every day we explored the neighborhood and enjoyed the shops and restaurants in the Proctor district. Since we have relatives in Tacoma, we will definitely be back!

We had a great week in Tacoma and Thistledown Cottage was the perfect location. Well stocked and helpful owners. Only drawback are the stairs are scary to use at night. But that isn’t anything to be changed.

Our first stay at Thistledown Cottage was wonderful enough to warrant a return trip, and once again it was delightful. The Millars are exemplary hosts, going above and beyond to provide a warm and welcoming property for their guests. We have family in the area, and visit regularly - I can't imagine staying anywhere else! Thank you again, Danny and Teres.

This is the perfect place for a couple to stay in Tacoma. The hosts are super nice; wonderful people. The property is comfortable, really nicely furnished and decorated. The location is two blocks away from downtown Proctor. Hope to be able to stay here again the next time we're in town.

Danny and Teres were great! They met us when we arrived, and we're extremely friendly. We were only in town for the weekend, but we had a great time. The cottage was a bit small, but had everything we needed, and the deck was very nice. It was also nice that it was walking distance to the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. I would stay here again.

Thistledown cottage is a darling bungalow in the North end of Tacoma, WA. The cottage was immaculate. There is a wonderful deck on the back of the house. Location is within walking distance to North Proctor street shops and restaurants. We stayed during mid 90 degree weather. There is an air conditioner in the upstairs, comfortable for sleeping. The downstairs is not air conditioned. With windows open, it was tolerable and cooled off nicely at night. We enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend Thistledown Cottage.
