Located in Key West, this lovely house for $678 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. THE PROPERTY: Enjoy the walkable location of this charming property. As you enter the home from its covered rocking chair front porch, you are in the open concept living room and kitchen. The compact kitchen with peninsula seating is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals or snacks. The living room is comfortably furnished, including a TV and ceiling fan. The room’s large French doors open onto the partially covered deck where you can enjoy dining poolside. The fresh ‘catch of the day’ will taste great when cooked on the gas grill. The outdoor dining table is partially covered and provides a respite from the sun. After a day exploring Key West, cool off in your private pool or enjoy cocktails in the covered lounge area. Ideal for a small family or two couples, this home provides a bedroom and full bath on each level. The primary open loft bedroom is located on the second floor and includes an ensuite bath with walk-in shower. The TV and seating area are a bonus in addition to the vanity/desk for primping or working in your home away from home. The secondary bedroom and hall bath with walk-in shower are located on the first floor. The built-in shelves, window seat, ceiling fan and TV add to this comfortable sleeping area. This home includes a small bonus space with a built-in bookcase and a love seat that opens to a small bed for an extra guest. No matter which room you choose as yours, this distinctive Key West cottage is sure to delight! A washer and dryer are located outside for your use. BED CONFIGURATION: The primary king loft bedroom, ensuite bath with louvered door, and seating area are on the second floor, accessible via an open riser staircase. The loft area is open to the area below as seen in the photos. The second queen bedroom with hall bath is on the first floor. A small sleeper sofa is in the bonus room on the first floor. OUTDOOR AMENITIES: Private, refreshing cocktail pool with outdoor shower, gas grill, loungers, and Adirondack chairs. The pool is heated seasonally (November through April) for an additional fee which will be assessed at the time of booking. The deck also includes a dining table and chairs as well as a comfortably furnished covered lounge area. PARKING: No designated parking. On-street parking available in the neighborhood. LOCATION: Old Town, South of Truman Ave. Known as "Uptown Key West", this area features beautiful Victorian homes, historic cottages, and quiet tree lined streets. Potter’s Cottage is conveniently located minutes from Key West’s major attractions – including sun kissed beaches, restaurants, museums, galleries, and shopping. Potter's Cottage was in a great location and was perfect for our 5 day New Year's vacation. It was very clean, well-appointed and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool too! We liked that it was just a block off the quieter end of Duval, and we easily walked or biked to everything we wanted to do. The room with the pullout couch had doors for privacy and was just big enough for the bed unfolded, but my 5'11" son said it was very comfortable, and he was happy in there. One thing to note is the steps to the upstairs bedroom are steep, so this is not a cottage for someone who has issues with stairs. We really appreciated the help of the wonderful staff at HKWVR planning our first trip to Key West!

It was a great stay, birthday week for my partner with her parents. It’s a block from the action of Duvall, yet still peaceful and enjoyable. The house, the neighborhood, the neighbors, and the weather were all great. I look forward to staying there again when we want to go to Key West, absolutely perfect.

Absolutely love this cottage. It was just the right size for 2 or 4. The addition of a private pool and the backyard covered patio, are divine. It’s like your little oasis away from the bustling world. The cottage looks exactly like pictured and it’s very convenient to all of the great places on Duvall street. There’s a free, non-permit spot right in front and little traffic down this street. We didn’t get to sit on the front porch, but I’d imagine it’s worth taking a sit and enjoying to morning sun with coffee. The property management company was amazing and really provides a concierge level of service. I definitely will rent this place again.

As a group of 4 adults, we stayed for 5 nights. The cottage had a great location, was close to so many points of interest, and was well-appointed. The pool was delightful! The only thing worth noting for others is that the stairs to the upper sleeping area/loft were STEEP. The property was clean and tidy and had lots of perks (washer dryer, Bluetooth speaker, etc.) that made a difference in our stay. The staff with HKWVR were also very helpful, facilitating after hours check in for us and helping us find a wheelchair rental for a party member during our stay. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay again!

It was easy & everything went smoothly. The home was very lovely and cute. Small but relaxing outside area with a small soaking pool. We had everything we needed. Downstairs bathroom nlis huge with large shower. Upstairs bathroom is small, shower requires people not to be very tall, fyi. We had 7 palmetto bugs on night one in the upstairs bathroom, but rental company sent someone to handle the next day and that got rid of them. They arranged bikes to be delivered which was great. It's a great location just a block and half from Hemingway House. Whitehead is a busy street but you wouldn't know itnfrom inside the cottage.. its well insulated. We had a lovely time.

Overall it was a good experience. The house is cute and very close to Duval, the beach and really anything you would like to do in KW. The beds are comfortable and amenities adequate. It was nice to have our own pool and washer and dryer! The steps going up stairs are very steep and if you have any mobility issues, upstairs would be a challenge to get to. It would have been nice to have a little coffee in the cabinet and few bottles of water in the fridge considering the price of the unit but all in all, if you are looking for a private escape, this is a nice place.

Both wives were so happy and the husbands are calling this a Big Win. To a person, everyone that we interacted with at Historic Key West was so friendly and helpful, and most importantly, they joined our mission to make sure the ladies had a great time. The concierge services were top notch and helped with reservations and advice. 10 out of 10.

Great location near shops, restaurants, and nightlife. The Duval loop stop right next to the cottage makes destinations out of walking distance easily accessible. The house itself had everything we needed and the pool was an amazing treat after a full day out and about. The two bedrooms and a small side room was plenty of room for my family of 5. Potter's Cottage is a nice, well kept property. The few downsides ...it was markedly smaller than depicted in pictures.
...the distance to the more popular areas of the island was a problem
...checking out and recycling was questionable since a list of recycleable items could not be found in the literature provided. We did not recycle anything but aluminum and plastic (Paper, glass, etc was not included).

Perfect location
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. It was everything we wanted and more. The location was excellent. We were so close to restaurants, shops, art galleries and activities that we didn’t even use our car after we arrived. The atmosphere & pool in the back was so nice and relaxing it was hard to leave. We also had a wonderful time “people watching” from the front porch where you also get a lovely view of the lighthouse. We absolutely loved everything about your home and Key West. The management company and it’s employees were top notch. So nice and helpful! Thank you for making our vacation better then we imagined. We look forward to staying here again very soon.

The extra room was the perfect place for a makeshift nursery and the fan provided plenty of white noise. The street is quieter than duval but still a lot happening and some noise from everyone enjoying themselves. Duval is only a few blocks away and there are tons of restaurants right on the same street. It was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend bc the property to anyone going to Key West.

Spring Break Get-Away
Great location and easy access to all the Key West sites. Very clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Property manager checked in on us via text throughout our stay. Parking was a small challenge - but that's a Key West challenge and not a property challenge. Great place and would highly recommend.
