A few minutes walk from the mrt.

The location was fantastic, it was less than a 10 minute walk to the nearest MRT station so highly convenient and accessible via public transport. It was also a few minutes walk to the nearest bus stop. The hotel was in a very quiet area which meant minimal noise pollution from traffic and the surrounding area, an important factor and huge bonus point for me. The room was very quiet too, so I slept really well throughout my stay there. It was very bright, modern and remarkably spacious especially by Taipei standards, had a street view, and I simply loved the warm and thoughtful lighting. The bed was super comfortable as well, though the pillows were surprisingly somewhat flat and not fluffy at all. While there are sockets near the bed, they are not international ones but since the hotel very kindly lent me an adapter for the length of my stay, this wasn't a problem at all. There were 7 Eleven and Cosmed outlets within walking distance, a Family Mart, Watsons, KFC, McDonalds, and many other eating options all around. The staff at reception were very warm, kind, friendly and helpful, especially those working the day shifts, they were always smiling! The same went for the staff in the dining area for breakfast. Most of them spoke pretty good English, so communication was never a problem. The housekeeping staff were also excellent, they were extremely kind, friendly and helpful, very clean and meticulous, and always went beyond the second mile for guests. From the way they cleaned my room, I could easily tell that they really give their best and put their heart into keeping rooms very clean and comfortable for guests. Hospitality and customer service wise, this hotel is hands down definitely the best I have ever been to! I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm back in Taipei!
For the rates charged, the bathroom was surprisingly very basic. Even though I had already seen photos of it prior to booking the hotel, I was not aware that it did not even have an anal hose, let alone a Japanese toilet (as sometimes photos don't necessarily show everything). While I did not mind the absence of a Japanese toilet, I would have thought that an anal hose was a very basic amenity. In fact, the bathroom is the main reason why I'm giving my review a 9 instead of a 10.

The room was very spacious for a family with 2 young children.
We paid the breakfast but we had 2 days of takeaway breakfast. The children didn't like it and we needed to find an alternative. The hotel staff gave the reasons of cleaning/sanitary.
Except that, it was ok overall. The breakfast was about the same everyday: rice, fried chicken, nuggets, boiled egg, boiled vegetables, bread, soup
