The convenient location of this laid-back space right in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge truly is a sports lover's paradise. The famous windsurfing and kitesurfing nearby plus the slopes of gorgeous Mt. Hood just an hour away make it simple to get a workout without hitting the gym. Plus, with downtown Hood River right outside your doorstep as well as Portland just 45 minutes away, there's plenty to choose from as far as urban life goes. The high ceilings of the upstairs living room, gas fireplace plus comfortable couches make this place perfect for relaxation. There's an open dining area and kitchen that have plenty of space for prepping an awesome meal. Right out back on the deck is ample room to stretch out and take it easy. Down the hallway, the main bedroom has a queen-size bed and lovely large windows. The second bedroom has twin bunk beds as well as lots of space and toys to play with, and the charming full bathroom is a few steps away. Dogs are also welcome for an additional fee. Downstairs there is a private living area complete with a kitchenette and two couches, so you won't have to wander too far if you get hungry in the middle of the night. The two bedrooms both have queen-size beds, and with a full bathroom available there's no need for anyone to wait in line in the morning. This home would be perfect for a couple of families or a big group of friends to unwind in. With the incredible access to the beautiful Columbia River just down the road where you can swim, windsurf, paddleboard, or kite surf, this is a great place for competition any time of year. Plus with the wonderful skiing and snowboarding of Mt. Hood just an hour away, you won't have to go far for a thrilling day on the slopes. No matter what activity you choose, this family-friendly Columbia River Gorge vacation home has something to keep everyone active yet laid-back for days! STR license #569 If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The $20 nightly fee will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. The fees were pretty high, almost exactly what the stay was, so that was not good. The bottom lock looked like someone had tried to break in and was hard to unlock. The size and space was nice. We wished the hot tub was larger and couldn’t figure out how to turn the jets off completely. Parking was a little tight.

Maritz at the Columbia was perfect for our group of 6 adults and one toddler. The home was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. It was so handy to be right in Hood River for our activities. We would stay again!

beautiful views. hot tub worked fine. moldy shower curtain. carpets and furnishings need a deep clean. maid does a fine job but some things need more than maid service. TV is awful. Needs an upgrade.

Good landing pad in Hood River
Good location - close to downtown, parks, and services literally next door. Well equipped kitchen - thank you so much! While it was overcast and rained when we were there, I suspect on a clear day that the views are wonderful.

Trish, the property manager, was quick to bring us four space heaters and a toaster oven. The downstairs apartment had an electrical range where we were able to warm up water for sponge baths :)

Nice stay
We had six family members for my mother's birthday ranging from age 30 to 79 the house was very clean and I loved that there was plenty of comfortable furniture. Plenty of room for us to spread out and was in a great location. We had a great time

Great common space, with open kitchen and living room. Well equipped kitchen suited us well as we cooked meals. Central location for driving to town, skiing, hiking.

Good and Bad
Some nice views of the river. House is funky but functional. Inaccurate description of the property. There is no hot tub. No directions to find the house and house has no address on it. You cant get to the house from the street address listed. It took us 15 minutes at night to finally find the house. There needs to be directions to find the driveway and front of house. The ad listed 1 car can park in the garage. Not really true. The owner of the house keeps a car in the garage that is nearly in the middle of the garage, so if you have a SUV or larger vehicle, it is nearly impossible to park in the garage. Gas Fireplace is temperamental and took nearly a half hour to start working. House needs a ton of deferred maintenance and paint. There was a lot of mud and puddles in the driveway just by the front
door entrance. I had to find a shovel to scrape mud off the driveway so it would not be tracked into the house. Phone number listed for the property manager in the welcome binder in the house was a non working number. So the welcome binder is also out of date. We had a nice stay but would not stay at this house again.

90th birthday/family reunion
The house was just as described on the site. Well stocked kitchen, clean , comfortable beds and plenty of space. The only down fall was the gas stove wouldn’t come on and the house cleaners need to check all the lights some burnt out ones, and the bedding in the bunk beds need faxed out. Otherwise the house was perfect and it had a plenty of room for the six of us.

The house was conveniently located, clean, plenty of options for linens, and well-stocked. Also, the owners were easy to deal with and the information provided was accurate. There were was only one issue, the fire alarm in the downstairs was broken and keep going off.

Great location and lots of space for our guests. It was close to the charming downtown and a very short drive to the waterfront activities and restaurants. The house itself was good. The ONLY thing that could have been better was that our comforter had some noticeable, questionable stains on it. Other than that, it was a lovely space with a tiny view of the river.

Wonderful weekend
What a great house! Fantastic view of the river and a cozy space made us feel right at home! A quiet neighborhood, but walkable to plenty of amenities, and a quick drive to downtown. We really enjoyed our weekend and would gladly stay here again!

Great house. Hard to find at first as the entrance is off 18th street. Great River view - HR bridge to the Hook. Gas fireplace throws off a lot of heat. Not overly fancy, but functional. Sort of shabby kitschy chic.

Just what we we’re looking for
This was the perfect home for our family Christmas- plenty of room ( especially bathrooms) for everyone. We got to do the Christmas Train , sledding at Little John’s snow park and a nite at the movies! Close to everything, very nite and clean , thanks for sharing your home

Large home with tons of sleep space. Not overly spacious but large enough for your group with a great common space. About a 15 minute walk to downtown Hood River. Would have been 6/5 stars if the hot tub was still there
