March 23 , 2026 : the beach is back
We were able to put out chairs and umbrellas right on the nice sandy beach
This situation can change overnight , especially during hurricane season
Our condo is a spacious 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 to 8 people .You will have magnificent views of the ocean from the balcony and living room . You are steps away from Seven Mile beach .
The condo is fully equipped to receive guests (family with grand parents, two families, two couples...).You will definitely enjoy having meals in the lanai .
The location is perfect . 10 minutes cab ride from the airport and at walking distance from many restaurants . You are a short walk away from Camana Bay , renowned for its shops and wonderful restaurants .
Grand Cayman also offers a lot of activities like: scuba diving, snorkeling (in front of the condo!), fishing, golfing , stingrays .
Children won' t be left out : swim with dolphins , turtle farm , ....
Sports and activities: Our complex is almost next to the Mariott Beach resort , where you can enjoy water sports activities like jet ski , sailing, snorkeling... etc.
We are also steps away from a divers shop .
Shopping: We are also very close to the commercial boulevard of 7 mile beach (just far enough to be quiet) where you will find stores and restaurant. You can travel on this boulevard by a small tourist bus which can bring you downtown Georgetown in 2 minutes for $2!
NOTICE REGARDING the BEACH SITUATION:
For the past 5 years , we have a few tropical storms . This produced extremely strong tidal action that eroded the beach along most of the southern end of Seven Mile Beach. A lot of sand has been eroded from the beach in front of our condo and the water was coming right up to the sea wall until recently .This beach situation occurs every few years and may return to normal by the action of winds and storms. It is still possible to swim in the ocean in front of the condo , but if you prefer a nice sandy beach, the nearest access to a sandy area for swimming is just a couple of minutes walk across the parking lot of a neighbouring property where you will find a public beach access that will bring you to a sandy section of beach where you can swim. All beaches are public in terms of walking or swimming, however, all facilities at all properties are private. Bars and restaurants at these properties, however, do welcome anyone.
Additionally, there is a very large public beach located about a 5 minute drive to the north, where you can find bathroom facilities as well as shaded cabanas etc. Loungers can also be rented.
Please note that as a guess at Tamarind Bay you obviously have access to the very inviting pool area for your use, with loungers, umbrellas, and 2 shaded cabanas. BBQ facilities are also adjacent to the pool area.

The condo was very well located. Walking distance to stores, excellent restaurants and bars. The pool was always very clean and a comfortable temperature. And the beach and access to the ocean was fantastic! The view from our condo was so beautiful! We loved sitting out on the screened porch at night. The cleaning service was very efficient and friendly. We used the BBQ by the pool and ate at the gazebo a few nights watching the sunset. We loved everything about the condo and highly recommend it!

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated the cooler bag and ice blocks, ample towels and beach toys. We all slept very well in the beds and had everything we needed to cook meals. This was a GREAT experience for our family- thank you.

Our family of 5 stayed for 5 nights. Excellent view and location. The pool was a great size for our 3 teen/preteen kids. Beach access was super easy with great snorkeling. Only negative to the trip were the beds- not comfortable. Otherwise our stay was without any issue and very enjoyable!

Our stay at Tamarind Bay was amazing. We were able to book fairly last minute and the process was very easy. Some reviews mentioned a lack of beach at the property, but we were pleasantly surprised to find ample beach for our party of 8. We heard that higher tides and some stronger winds brought the water right up to the wall of the condo property in early February.
The condo was the perfect setup for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. All the kids slept in the room with the bunk bed and queen bed. We had everything we needed for breakfast and lunch in the condo, and Kirk Market was a short walk away with a great selection and decent prices. The screened in porch was a nice spot to watch the waves break down on the beach.
Location of the property is fantastic. We walked to Coconut Joe's, Pepper's, XQ's, Craft F&B and The Royal Palms Beach Club (great spot for sunsets!) for dinner during our stay. All the meals we ate were great. There were dive shops and souvenir stores very nearby as well.
Snorkeling off the condo couldn't be beat. My kids spent hours out in the water around the various reefs just off shore. We built countless sandcastles and enjoyed watching the mammoth cruise ships pull into shore (no effect on us). The beach directly out front of the condo is fairly rocky, but by no means unswimmable. For more sandy conditions, you can just walk down the beach to the right and you'll notice the difference.
We had an awesome stay and my kids already want to come back!
