Situated in Wellfleet, this attractive cottage for $465 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our 1998 home we built has a high ceiling and good light with a modern and cozy cape feeling. It has a sun porch and a secluded back deck that backs up to the boundary of the National Seashore. You can walk to two of its most of its famous "kettle" ponds - one popular with families, the other hidden and walk-in only. Modern amenities. Good wireless, TV, and appliances. Enclosed outdoor shower. Cooling and heat in all rooms. ping pong table in the basement. and Extra beach chairs, and skim boards if needed. Solar power. Master bedroom 1st floor.King bed; 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with queen bed; a standard bed in the study.

We’ve been coming to Wellfleet for a week each summer for years and each time we rent a different place, always hoping for the right combination of beauty and comfort for a reasonable price. We were delighted by this well-stocked home in a private, beautiful spot among the trees, yet only a 5-minute drive from town. The decor is vibrant and interesting. The owners were responsive when we had a question about the thermostat, and there was none of the stinginess of other rentals, where we’ve had to bring our own toilet paper, dish soap, etc. You do need to rent or bring sheets or towels (for some reason this is standard for the area—and after a snafu with the only local rental option, I’d bring our own next time), but all the other necessaries are provided, including grilling equipment to make the most of the fabulous fresh seafood at Hatche’s market. There’s an outdoor shower, a lovely back deck, and a fabulous screened sunroom for maximum bug-free communing with nature. Although it was cool during most of our week there, it was so nice to have the a/c when it did get too warm. A major bonus: mattresses from the current century, which is unusual in our experience! And a room with a king, no less—a rare find! If comfortable sleep is important to you, I think you’ll be happy here. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Thank you! The house was spacious, bright and airy. It had everything we could have needed in the kitchen as well as for the beach. A lovely walking distance to town (about a mile). The location is quiet and lovely and yet close to both bay and ocean beaches. We loved our week in Wellfleet - thanks!

This house is lovely and in a perfect location to get to the ponds, the ocean beaches, and Wellfleet center. It is a very comfortable house, with a well-stocked kitchen, and a great porch. Lots of windows brought the breezes in every day. Plus our dog was very happy being with us, running in the woods and on the beaches. It was a great spot for us.

This is by far a "dream getaway"! Accommodations are superior in this spacious and lovely home nestled in the woods within minutes walking distance to kettle pond and quick drive to the beaches!

We really enjoyed our stay! Having a lot of biking/hiking trails just out the back door is amazing. You can explore the woods without having to drive anywhere and walk to several ponds, and beach overlooks, if you want to go a little further. Town is a short drive, and PJ’s and Moby Dick’s are really close. The space was very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of spices in the cabinet. The propane grill worked flawlessly, as did everything else in the house. We would stay here again!

my wife and i have been vacationing in Wellfleet since the late '70s. This property ranks at the top of our rating list! Centrally located, bucolic, private, and so well stocked with every imaginable thing you might need, all you have to worry about is having a good time! Thank you for a memorable week.

We had a very nice stay at George's property. He was regularly in touch leading up to our stay providing all of the necessary details on arrival. The home was roomy, well equipped, and actually, more impressive in person than the photos. We very much enjoyed our vacation at this home... and you will too!

We had a lovely stay at this well appointed home. Furnishing very nice and up-to-date. Bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Great cooking kitchen complete with patio grill and weber. Enjoyed a game of monopoly on the screened in porch. Home was convenient to Wellfleet, national seashore beaches and Long Pond. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our family liked this house very much. Plus the owner is easy to work with.

We recently spent a week at this lovely home in Wellfleet. As you will see in other reviews, it is a wonderful home - beautifully kept, well located, with a great layout and all the supplies you will need. We were very comfortable during our stay. When we had a problem with the dryer and the oven, the owner was very responsive and sent someone to repair them in a timely fashion. We have rented many places in Wellfleet over a sixteen year period, and this is one of our favorites. We hope to return soon!
