WE HAD A VERY NICE GET TOGETHER WITH THE FAMILY MEMBERS FROM CHICAGO, HOLLAND MI, GRAND RAPIDS MI & ANN ARBOR MI. THE PLACE WAS WELL MAINTAINED, CLEAN AND APPEALING. EXTRA THANKS TO THE MAINTENANCE PERSON WHO CAME ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO SHOVEL THE WALK WAY AND PUT SALT AS IT WAS A BIT SLIPPERY ON FRI WHEN WE CHECKED IN.HOUSE UPSTAIRS WOULD GET HOTTER THAN NORMAL - IF SOMETHING CAN BE DONE, WOULD BE REALLY GREAT.

This was one of the best stays I've had at a vacation rental. The place was amazing. Clean, comfortable, easy in, and easy out. The staff was super hospitabale.The house backs right into the dock. It's probably the best location in resort, near all the amenities.If I could give the whole stay (house + resort) 10 starts out of 5, I would. We'll definitely be back!

This property was in the perfect location! It was right on the lake which provided a great view and was very close to the pool/lake activities/park/Lake Michigan. The house was a good size and layout for our 2 families which included 4 adults and 3 kids under 3. The outside could definitely use some upkeep but the inside was well maintained. The house also included chairs and umbrellas that we brought to Lake Michigan. We would definitely stay here again!

This is my second time at this cottage. It works great for my family. I loved everything about it. My only suggestion would be that there is some ants in the kitchen that you may want to spray and it would be nice if the screened in patio was cleaned a bit. There is a lot of stuff on the screens that make it hard to see out. Plus there is just a lot of cobwebs everywhere.

Enjoyed the neighborhood turkey trot and lake dunk. House was very clean and comfortable. Wish we were still there - so much to do for a couple and with kids, very unique and special unexpected delight!

We have been here before Covid. This time the porch was not clean. Ash trays were filled. We arrived on time and were told it was not 4:00p.m. for entry. So we drove to the rental and found no one was around and we could have entered. Lady at desk said it was not ready. Not true, except for the porch and it was not cleaned.

This house was a perfect fit for us. The screened-in porch was great for meals and games. The second floor deck was great for lunches and sunning. The house is right off the fishing dock and between the pool and the boats. Clean and well equipped. 5 stars!

We love this rental home! This was the second time we rented Steelaway. We are a family of 8 and there was plenty of room! We loved eating our meals and sipping our coffee on the screened in porch overlooking Lake Kai. The location is perfect- being close to the pool and right by the fishing pier. Plus being able to walk on the boardwalk to the pool was nice because we could avoid walking on the street. The huge kitchen was fully stocked! The bedrooms and living spaces are very comfortable! The sectional couch was great for our 4 kids and adults to relax after a full day or beach/pool. Overall it was a relaxing and comfortable place to stay! We will likely try to rent again!

We decided to go on a little weekend get-a-way to celebrate our grandson's birthday and to experience the beautiful fall colors. We had been to Beachside two summer ago and really like the area. We, basically, just experienced some time together as, because of the Covid, we did not go anywhere except to Walmart for groceries and to the Mall for a short visit. We had a wonderful time together!

Great place, cleanliness needed
This rental is in a great location. short distance to the beach, but the views from the porches overlooking the lake are the best place to watch the sunrise. However, the house is not the cleanest. We found candy and dirt on the floor, the rugs really need to be washed or replaced, and the house could really use just some TLC. The ladies in the front office were super friendly and helpful. we did enjoy our stay and would still return.

Great Location!
This was our 5th time at the Beachwalk and this was the best location yet! The house was great, plenty of space and the screen porch was perfect but the 2nd floor deck was even nicer!! Beautiful view of Lake Kai! tons of kitchen supplies and 2.5 baths was really nice too!

This house is placed right off the pier on the smaller fishing lake, steps from the pool, snack hut and other amenities. It is also only a short walk to Lake Michigan for the larger beach experience. House was great inside, nicely kept and stocked with all the essentials, including beach chairs, etc. would definitely stay again.

This was where me, my three sisters, mom, dad, and my niece and daughter decided to spend our yearly vacation. The home had a great location and for the price the home was in the "need improvement" and "need of a upkeep" that you would expect. What we did not expect or plan for was that our fridge didn't work from day one. Maintenance came the next day when we called to tell us that indeed it was broken and brought us a large cooler and a small college dorm style fridge. With 7 people this was not going to work, we cook every meal at the home instead of the cost of eating out. By day three we are told the owners have ordered new fridge but it wouldn't be delivered during our stay. Rental company did bring us ice each day, but every other day we were throwing away left overs. Cause newsflash a mini fridge doesn't hold much! And left overs in a cooler of water and ice doesn't float well. By fourth day I called management and expressed our understanding but our request that the owners reimburse us somehow. The rental company sent a second mini fridge from their personal use to help with food storage. This is something that hopefully they will remember and be more equipped to handle. Was given $150 off of stay. Wasn't completely happy with that, and never got an apology from owners. Again location made the house work and lots of sleeping arrangements. But didn't expect to spend over $2000 for a home with a mini fridge for 7 people! We sincerely enjoyed beach walk vacation resort and we didn't let this spoil our family time. We decided to laugh and not cause a fuss, however, this was part of our experience that needs to be told.

Quick getaway
Size of the house was perfect for 6 people. Location being on the lake was wonderful . Inside was nicely decorated. It would have been nice if there was one tv upstairs. Screened porch wa great to look at the lake and watch the kids fishing. But there was green mold on the woodwork all around the porch and it would have been better if that was cleaned. We would rent this house again.

The place was in very good condition when we arrived. One of the bicycles had a flat tire so we couldn’t ride it but that was ok. We had a little trouble with the fireplace, we couldn’t figure out to turn it on & we had trouble switching the tv from dvd back to tv. A maintenance guy came over & fixed that. The place was well supplied and very cozy. We liked it.

We enjoyed our vacation at steel away. The location was perfect for our family with access to the dock to fish, playgrounds, tennis courts, and walking/biking trails. We were able to easily get to lake Michigan as well. The only complaint for us was the house was not very clean.
