Location is fabulous. The property layout was well suited for our purposes. We enjoyed the proximity, both walking and driving, to activities in which we were interested. We did have some problems with ants on the counter by the baby bottles the first day and the downstairs bath has a few issues. These will be shared with management and assume they will be dealt with. Overall, a great getaway.

We had a wonderful time! We rented the middle unit and it was perfect. Just as described.
It was clean and had a ton of amenities (boogie boards, beach towels, umbrella, chairs, tent, beach toys, baby play pen, etc.) Also had a carport to park our car in the alleyway behind the unit.
The location was amazing! Right between Mission beach and Pacific Beach so it wasn’t too busy but an easy walk of bike ride to either side. Coffee shops, restaurants, bike rentals very close by.
Would highly recommend this location for your next beach getaway.

This listing is completely accurate...we had a great time! It was an end of summer getaway with our kids and in-laws. Perfectly located, clean, well maintained etc. Property management was very respsonsive and communicative pre-check in, they even proactively checked in to ensure we had what was needed. Great location, able to walk to Belmont but also far enough away from the noise. Would hands down be a repeat customer for this booking. Thank you!

My boyfriend, son, his girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The space was great! I was a LITTLE disappointed with how small the front deck was, but we made it work. The views were great! And, access to everywhere was perfect. One of the beach chairs was broken, but I assume the past guest never notified the property manager. Speaking of the property manager, I reached out a few times via text and never got a response. Luckily, it wasn't an emergency and we had no issues. I just had questions.
All in all, it was a great 4 nights in a great location. Thank you!

Upon arrival, there was a large puddle of water in the main bedroom. The air conditioning unit was dripping water all over the bed, mattress and floor. We had to put buckets out and listen to the water drip all night (the rental company said it was “normal” for that to happen and would send someone to look at it the next day.)
After it was fixed, we had to mop the floor, wash towels and redo our bedding.. they never offered to help.
On the second night, we used the microwave and it made a loud noise and then we smelled electrical fire. Again, no one answered the after hours number and we were told the next day, a technician would come look at it.
Overall, the place was dirty and we had several issues. The only good thing was the location. Look elsewhere on Mission Beach people.

You'd be hard pressed to beat the location and the view from this unit. With all the amenities you need, all the beach gear you'd want, this place was perfect for our family. The SurfSyle team was also very helpful with any questions we had and checked in with us during and after our stay. Would definitely book this place with them again.

This place was damn near perfect! The best location with multiple restaurants within walking distance, literally directly on the boardwalk, AND private parking. We had a blast here, and we got lucky and had some great neighbors in the 2 other units on the sides. The only downside was there were quite a few bugs in the bedding in the master. Not bedbugs, but I’m not sure what they were. They looked like very small ants. I found this odd, as we hadn’t noticed bugs anywhere else in the house. Other than that it was a fantastic stay and we will definitely be booking our next trip here!

Overall this property and location were perfect for what we needed. The layout of the home is perfect and you can’t beat the location. The only issue we had were bugs. Upon checking both bedrooms were loaded with some type of flying insect and there were ants on the kitchen counter throughout the visit. The home definitely needs to be checked and treated for bugs moving forward.

Wonderful Vacation
You'll love this place if you like a modern space where you can cook, eat, and go to bed...to Ocean Views! The dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom are all ocean front with huge windows. The only thing we wish was for a larger balcony, but it was nice having one which still fit 4 chairs and we knew that when we rented the place. The SurfStyle host made our stay enjoyable with all of their recommendations. Thanks again :)

The person who took the pictures of this place needs to get paid more. They really made it stick out and shine. It was an ok stay. That particular stretch of beach stays busy at night and can get noisy and the walls between units are paper thin so if your next door neighbor plays music late in the night it won't violate noise ordinance but it will keep you up. This is the email I sent the owners after they wanted me to leave a 5 star review, and their response to this email is that they are on it...I doubt it...
Hello, and thank you for reaching out. Our stay was ok. I am having a hard time in good conscience leaving a 5 star review for our stay at your vrbo because of several issues we encountered. The first we noticed was the lack of continuity of appliances which led to further invetigations of their operation. The fridge worked great. The dishwasher had buttons missing and the soap dispenser inside was broken and it was incredibly noisy. All of the dishes were dirty upon arrival and we either just didn't use them or rewashed them. When we tried to use the oven we had a dish that was precooked that needed to be warmed for an hour. After it had been in for almost twice that and was beginning to dry out we just decided to eat it luke warm, and we didn't even try the stove top. There was a broken glass that was just put back and not properly disposed of prior to our stay. Several of the outlets in the unit were black from burning and/or didn't work all together. The internet was incredibly inconsistent in its operation, possibly a new router is in order. The blind over the door was broken and had to be hand rolled as it was when we got there. And the ants...we tried very hard to keep counters clean and even bought and left big spray to help keep them at bay. But they came back every day. Upstairs in the master the three big windows leak and when they were washed enough water got in that it soaked some of our stuff and even got the bed sheets and frame. The jetted tub was filthy! The amount of crap that came out after I filled it then turned on the jets was enough to turn your stomach. So I drained it and we just showered. Bedroom two has mold in the bathroom....not good. The whole place just seems to be in need of some major repairs. It is in a great location and we enjoyed our stay but $3000 for a week and to have all those issues is disheartening to say the least...

Can't Beat 2 Levels of Ocean Views in a Modern Home

I had myself, my husband and our 4 kids, 14/13/7/1, we had a 12 hour trip broken up into 2 days, so by the time we got to the property, we were so ready to get out of the car and into the house. There was a small miscommunication regarding the key, because of repairs that had been going on prior to our arrival, and after calling the company, housekeeping came and we waited an additional hour before being able to enter, which if I didn't have kids, no big deal. But they did totally make it up by giving us 2-3 additional hours after check out, (I can't remember) which was awesome! The house is nice, be prepared for sand everywhere, it's inevitable. In the showers, bed sheets, floors, a constant reminder that the beach is right outside your door, we dug it. The bed's were amazing, so super comfortable, especially the master, they provided a baby gate for the stairs which was really nice. The AC was killer, it never got hot in the house and made sleeping very comfortable. The dumpsters were kept in the parking garage, a lot of the research I did prior to finding this listing, it seemed that flies were a big thing in SD, but not in this house, the garbage is so far away, there's zero chance of that. The house is great, I'd definitely stay there again, the pictures online are a little bit nicer than the actual house but I think if they went through and just did some minor housekeeping touch ups on paint, mirrors, etc, it would look so much better. I really enjoyed walking to Better Buzz coffee which was a couple blocks away, as far as restaurants, we Door Dashed quite a bit, if we weren't cooking. There's some restaurants if you walk down the walkway, towards PB, and we did go to a couple of them for brunch, with our family in tow. One of my main concerns was with it being Labor Day weekend, maybe some rifraf on the boardwalk, right next to the sliding door, and having young kids, but there was zero events like that. Also, t a wooden rod is provided to put in the bottom of the sliding door. It's not needed, it's all very secure, but sleeping upstairs, and having children sleeping downstairs, it just made me feel better having the additional security of it. All in all, I'd stay there again, and recommend it to families.

Fun had by all
My husband, children, and grandchild all had such a wonderful stay at the Surf Style 2 townhome. With our grandchild it was nice to watch him play on the sand and water from the house. We weren't a big fan of the stairs, but the views were spectacular. We had a problem with the living room tv but the gal in the office was kind enough to walk us through it. We already reserved again for the holidays, they gave us a repeat discount.

I am giving this review a 4 star not because of the property management company but because of the beach condo. The views you have of the ocean is incredible (which is why I gave an extra star), but the downstairs furniture could be nicer along with a few other things. The couch was dirty and stained everywhere along with the sitting chairs. We didn't want to sit on the couch at all for the time that we were there. The downstairs bathroom sink also doesn't drain so it fills with water instantly when turning the faucet on. The upstairs bathroom attached to the 2nd bedroom had mold in the corner next to the shower. For a million dollar plus property, I was expecting a top notch condo. The proprety management company was great, though! They responded quickly even before we arrived and we had a few cleanliness issues upon arrival and they sent the cleaning crew back out to resolve those issues. I will stay at another surf style property again in the future at a different location.

It makes it so nice for everyone to get ready, and if you have visitors, they have a bathroom to use without getting in your personal space! This management company is very easy to work with and provided us with a solution when COVID caused a complication with our original length of stay. I can't say enough good things about this property. Unfortunately, however, I have now spoiled myself and can't imagine spending time in San Diego anywhere but here! Thanks for such an amazing place to enjoy my vacation!
