It has been professionally decorated in a beautiful and comfortable Nantucket Style. Steps from the Sand/2 ocean side decks/great ocean views from main living area and master bedroom...all the views and the privacy! Relax in bed and watch the waves! This is A Single Family 2 story Home! Large first floor deck with picnic table/adirondack chairs and large gas grill. The upstairs deck is off of the master bedroom...the best place to relax with a book and watch the waves or eat a quiet dinner. The first floor has updated flooring and a modernized open floor plan, and the upstairs has a vaulted ceiling. There are 2 large bathrooms...one on each floor. The perfect large galley kitchen with a deep sink and updated countertops. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for entertaining inside and out. An upstairs landing that has a comfortable desk and wireless Internet (for those who have to stay in touch with the office). A bright, beautiful and very well maintained home. We have had several families return multiple times over the last 25 years. You can relax in bed and enjoy the view and sound of the ocean. It is located on a nice court in North Mission beach and a comfortable walk to Crystal Pier and Belmont Park. Two blocks away from the bay where you can rent surf boards, paddles boards, jet skiis, kayaks, sail boats, and even floating hot tubs for cruising the bay (yes it's true!) at the Santa Clara Pt. We completely enjoyed our stay at this great little beach house. Our host was quick to respond with any questions we had. I will say to make sure you are driving a small car/sporty SUV...we had a large dodge Ram truck and my man, who has master skills maneuvering large vehicles, could no way fit the truck in the small parking spot. Fortunately we found a spot to park the truck and used my son's Hyundai Elantra comfortably. The place is well within walking distance to lots of great food and coffee. Bring your own coffee pods or tea bags if you want some in the morning.

We had an amazing time at Mission Beach!! The cottage is absolutely perfect. Steps away from the Boardwalk where we strolled many times every day, wonderful restaurants and all kinds of people enjoying life. Our 2-13 year old furry friends loved it. Not one mean dog on the beach!! What was truly wonderful was all the time we spent on the lower and upper decks. What a view, different every day and with the ocean waves as our soundtrack, unbeatable! We’ve already rebooked for next year :3)

We picked this place because it was so close to the route the 3day walkers take for Susan G Komen. It was wonderful as we were able to cheer them on from the porch on Sunday morning!

We cannot say enough about our perfect stay in The Perfect Beach House. First of all, Katie and Ben could not have been more responsive, helpful, and accommodating. I have been vacationing in Mission Beach for 21 years and absolutely loved our house, its amenities, our location, our view, our upper and lower patios, and our hosts' hospitality. We are looking forward to our return and our next beach getaway at what really is "the perfect beach house." Thank you, Katie and Ben!

We had the most amazing time staying at this beach house. The place is in the perfect location and the communication with the host was great. We had a few minor issues that they handled quickly. The beds we’re comfortable. TV was great to watch all the sports we wanted to see. The house was updated and had all the appliances for cooking. The best part was the balcony and patio. I spend most of my time sitting out there reading, eating, looking at the ocean and and just in awe of how wonderful it was to be in San Diego. My dog had the best time too and I can’t wait to come back. I love this house so much and I don’t say that lightly because I have been using VRBO and staying in beach houses for over 20 years and this place was my favorite.

This is a great house and the perfect location. We loved being able to see and hear the ocean without all the noise of being on the boardwalk. We also loved the gated front patio which was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine! House was clean and very comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again.

You can’t beat the location of this rental, one house in from the ocean! Great patio to people watch and look out at the water. Nice kitchen with everything you need. A new coat of paint inside would really refresh the unit. This is the second time staying in the unit, great time!

The location and the deck of the property are great. The downstairs is also nice. The upstairs is old and really needs to be updated. They provide stuff for the beach which was nice. We were there for a week and they provided us with one little hotel sample of shampoo and body wash so be sure to bring your own. This house could be great but really needs some work to be done.

Stayed here for 4-nights and only complaint is I couldn’t stay longer. House was clean and very well put together. It has all the amenities for a young family vacation or for a group of young adults. The location is amazing with great restaurants, bars and coffee shops all within a short walk. And the beach is just outside your doorstep…..close enough that you can leave your sound machine at home and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing! Will definitely return!

This beach house definitely made our vacation better! I read other reviews that it’s location one house back from the boardwalk made it better and we couldn’t agree more. We enjoyed ocean views from both decks and it was so nice to not have people walking directly in front of us. Still had great people watching but it was a choice and not all we could see since we were not directly on the boardwalk. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings and the location between the busier section of Mission Beach and Pacific Beach made this the perfect location. We rented beach cruisers for our week long stay and used them to bike to several locations or just strolled on the boardwalk. It was great to have lockable, gaged, space on both sides of the house. Katie was great at communicating with us and great to work with. We would absolutely stay here again!

Cozy beach house. Well-stocked kitchen. Close to downtown, airport and LaJolla. Two retired friends meeting there for 5 days/4 nights of touring around. Had a rental car. Found good restaurants - Moe’s was easy walk on the neighborhood. Loved the ‘Marine Room in La Jolla and El Prado at Balboa Park.

Loved staying here for the second time and definitely will be back next year. The fact that it’s a whole house with a patio and stunning beach views is so much better than a condo for me and my pup. Katie is very responsive and lovely to work with. Comfortable, beach decor with everything you could possibly need for a super vacation. You should rent this wonderful house!

The house is in the perfect spot and it was awesome hearing the waves and watching the sunset. My only complaint is that the second bedroom is actually a loft. I saw reviews that said it didn’t have a door, but it’s actually a loft with a half wall. (Maybe this was in the description somewhere and I missed it.) Anyway, the only reason I mention it is because we were traveling with our two-year-old and consequently had to put her in the front bedroom with the deck so that the noise didn’t carry upstairs. That bedroom is actually very quiet. It’s probably not an issue for most people but I thought I would mention it for anyone else traveling with a young child. Other than this everything was great. Kitchen had all we needed, house was clean and as pictured. We had a good stay!

The house was perfect for our 4 day getaway. It was exactly as described, clean and comfortable. The view was perfect and beautiful sunsets. There were great eating places all walking distance. We had our pet and loved the early morning walks in the beach. There are restrictions on the times of day you can walk your dogs on the beach and boardwalk but wasn’t an issue for us. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

This was by far the best property we have rented in Mission Beach and we have been coming for over 10 years. Being just off the boardwalk helped with privacy but the views from both decks were simply amazing. We will book this property again if we get the chance.

Overall, it was great. The listing had us believing there was a bedroom on each floor. The second bedroom didn’t have doors, only curtains. It was not right on the beach, but the views were great. We would stay there again.

This rental was everything we could have wanted! It is 2nd row which isn't super obvious from the listing/photos but honestly, that's BETTER! You have much more privacy than windows literally on the boardwalk, but still have direct view of the ocean from all outdoor spaces. All the details thought of - storage shelves in bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, shower and hose outside, coat hook for drying items and everyday needs supplied (toilet paper, sponge, dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, paper towels, even a blow dryer!) which was great for us flying in. Communication was quick, efficient and thoughtful. We would absolutely rent here again!

This was our second time staying at the Seagirt house and it was once again a joy. The house is spotless and comfortable. We spent hours on the porch looking at the ocean and on the beach or wall just across the path from the house. Plenty of good eateries are nearby. The beach and path are bustling, but the house provides enough quiet being one house away. We’d stay here again.
