Nestled in Port Aransas, this attractive house for $874 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Introducing San Souci. San Souci offers 5 bedrooms and 5 baths along with sprawling decks that give amazing views. The primary is on the 2nd floor and looks straight at the beach. It has a large bathroom with a jet tub and separate shower. There is also an additional queen bedroom on the 2nd floor with a full bath. There is 1 bedroom on the 1st floor with 2 sets of full size bunks, television, and a full bath. This room is perfect for the younger crowd in your group. There are 2 bedrooms with full bath on the 3rd floor, with 1 queen and 1 king. The open floor plan offers a gourmet kitchen and enough living space for the whole family. House was nice but also located in the back of am Rv park. You can see the ocean from the second and 3rd floor but not the first. Access to beach is close by with a golf cart.

This property was very comfortable and the view was just exactly what we were looking for. The home was generally clean inside. The outside could use a little TLC. It was well supplied in the kitchen for all our needs. The beds were comfortable. The only issues we encountered was the washing machine, which was finally taken care of. The dryer's front panel was loose and made some noise when running. We had some "alerts" that went off in the middle of the night. The refrigerator didn't seem like it kept things cold enough and we followed the instructions upon arrival. We did not use the dishwasher as the racks were pretty rusty. That did not pose a problem for us. We have rented this property again for next year so are happy to recommend. Thank you.

Our family enjoyed a get together after Christmas in Port A at this clean, roomy, beautifully maintained home on the beach. We enjoyed the beach, the heated pool and shops in town along with evenings of games with the family. Make the trip, well worth it!

To start with the house is at the end of a RV park which requires you to drive through the park to go anywhere. This certainly wasn’t disclosed. I have never written a negative review but feel compelled to do so here. I won’t go into detail about the sinks that drained slow, the screwed up ice maker, the obvious deferred maintenance, etc. I will leave you with this, if someone offered to pay me to stay here a week, all my guest and I would 100% decline the offer. This was the biggest waste of money in all my years of vacationing.

Beautiful house
Very nice house! It is either a recent build or recent remodel. Very clean and no little (or big) maintenance issues. Very well stocked. Very roomy and comfortable.

Beautiful home
Even though previous tenants left very late, the management company let us know and were very accommodating about everything. House was clean and ready about 1 1/2 hours late. House is so close to beach and has beautiful views from all floors. We had a great time and loved the house.

Beautiful views of the gulf, close to beach access walkover, roomy for our large family, the grandgirls loved the bunkroom, Gulf Water facilities were enjoyed - the pool was a hit! Large equipped kitchen! All very clean! Over all it was a great place to stay and make those memories. Only thing to make it perfect is to have more comfortable seating that accommodates everyone in the main living room and dining area.

I felt like it was a hassle to hav to check at both Port A Escapes as well as the Gulf Waters office. The home on located in the back of an nice RV resort bit the oversight seems overkill. We were made to wear wrest bands and have parking permits on our cars. They patrolled the area at all times and reported any cars parked incorrectly or without a permit. I guess this is where some of your money for added fees goes. When we arrived the cleaning lady was still at work even though it was after 4 pm. The lawn in the backyard wasn’t mown and had grass burrs and there were light bulbs out in caribou’s rooms throughout the house. Normally this would seem minor but we paid a ridiculous amount of $$ in rent + fees (over $6k for three mights) for this place so we expected it to be top notch.
It WAS roomy but there was only a tv in one bedroom (though 2 more on common areas) and the WiFi was very spotty. Several things were broken - the keurig, a chair on the back porch, the remotes were all missing backs, etc. Overall this place doesn’t seem to be well maintained for the price. It is at the back of a fancy RV resort that is very particular about everything you do so I expected the home to be in better condition.
We never used the pool or activity/fitness center so I can’t comment on them. It was nice to be within walking distance of the beach via the boardwalk, but the beach access road is very far in either direction so if you need to bring a vehicle to the beach it is a LONG drive.
We’ve been coming to Port A every summer for most of my life (45 years) and staying in various places and this place didnt live up to expectations.

This house is quite lovely, and is right on the beach. There are a lot of stairs, which might be problematic for some visitors. Truly pretty house, with a really nice kitchen and porch area for viewing the sand dunes, waves and birds.

They also offered to send a housekeeper but we did not want anyone in the house due to Covid so I cleaned it up myself. Port A Escapes was very easy to work with and always had an immediate reply to my email. I would rent the house again as it is a wonderful location, right on the beach with amazing views. The kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, linens, etc and even a waffle maker!

We had the best time at San Souci! The home is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating. We appreciated that all bedrooms have a bathroom either en suite or adjacent. The kids enjoyed the huge bunk room with adjoining patio and yard. We spent a great deal of time on the back covered deck taking in the 180 view of the Gulf, but the view could also be equally enjoyed from inside. Even the kitchen window offers a sunset view of palm trees and the Bay. It wasn't a chore doing the dishes! We were definitely spoiled by the views and beach proximity that this home provides, and we'd love to return!

All was great until the kids were driving the golf cart around the RV Resort Complex. They were stopped by a man towing another golf cart in the complex, whose teeth were falling out and he was in a dirty T-shirt with “STAFF” printed on it. He wasn’t wearing a badge or ID. He stopped my nephew and told him he couldn’t drive the cart, then made him get in his cart and left the other children on the cart alone. He refused to let them leave, or come back to the house. He drove my nephew back to the house and left; he didn’t come to the door or notify us that there was a problem. Terrified when our nephew came in without the younger children, we ran to find them. The man was setting in his cart, watching our children; he was filthy. My brother and I addressed his behavior, said he was a stranger and how dare he put any children on his cart, or hold other children. We immediately started calling management, etc. This man then reported our children as driving as reckless so he wouldn’t get I to trouble. We do far have. Or received any money back and the home rental alone was over $2,000.00!! Horrible experience.

Overall our stay at this house was a great experience. The floorpan is large and comfortable. The house has beach access over the board walk that also accommodates a golf cart. We highly recommend renting a cart for quicker access and ease to carry beach gear to the beach. Closest beach access by car is about 3 miles down the road. We would suggest owner add basic cleaning supplies to the house such as a broom, mop, bucket, dust pan. We had a hard time keeping house clean and did the best we could with the small vacuum we found. Also, house is missing an all essential wine bottle opener.

Very spacious home, great location for 5 couples brining in 2016. Dining table was nice but more chairs were needed to accommodate 10 adults. The bottom bedroom is spacious and nice but there were no blinds on the Windows. The house was very very nice furniture and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was wonderful!

This house was great. It was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The beach view was amazing! The walk to the beach was a little bit longer than advertised (you have to walk down about a city block to get to the boardwalk, and then it's about a five minute walk down to the beach. It was too much for some members of our party, so we found a drive-up access that took about twice as long, but at least it didn't involve as much walking. For the young and fit, the walk is absolutely nothing!) We had a problem with the air conditioning the day we arrived, but the rental agency had a maintenance person out there within 90 minutes, and he stayed until the problem was fixed. Other than a few very small issues (living room windows with no curtains, which caused the main floor to get pretty warm during the day, and some basic kitchen appliances that we thought should have been included in a "furnished kitchen"), the house was wonderful.
