Nestled in Myrtle Beach, this lovely condo for $566 per night is a great choice for your next break. **We cannot guarantee that all amenities will be open and available during your stay** A wonderful family vacation awaits you in our luxurious five bedroom, four bath oceanfront condominium. The Southwind is located in a quiet residential setting along the 'Golden Mile'. It offers exceptional oceanfront amenities including indoor & outdoor pools, a large lazy river, two outdoor and one indoor hot tub, a kiddie pool and an exercise facility. Enjoy the fitness trail and oceanfront children's playground nearby. Our 2,400 sq. ft. five bedroom condominium located on the 15th floor offers panoramic ocean views with relaxing ocean breezes from the large private wrap around balcony. The balcony can be accessed from the living room and master bedroom. A fully equipped kitchen with appliances and granite countertops. This condominium has a large master suite with king size bed, flat screen TV, jacuzzi tub, separate shower and two sinks, granite countertops and large walk-in closet. The second bedroom has two queen size beds, flat screen TV and private bath. The third bedroom has a queen size bed with private bath, flat screen TV, private balcony with ocean view. The fourth & fifth bedrooms have ocean views & share a full bath, both have flat screen TV's and each has 1 queen. A large open Living area with one standard sofa and one sofa bed, Flat screen TV, high speed internet. Enjoy golf, tennis, shopping, live shows, great dining choices in on the the most sought after oceanfront vacation spots in the world. ~~Motorcycles, trailers and golf carts are not permitted on the grounds~~ ***Housekeeping Fee includes: Departure cleaning service and Linens Linens included are as follows: 4 towels, 4 washcloths per king, queen, or full bed. 2 towels, 2 washcloths per twin bed. 2 hand towels and 1 bathmat per bathroom. 1 kitchen hand towel and 1 kitchen dish rag. You will also receive a starter roll of toilet paper in ever bathroom and 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. *** House parties and Groups: House parties and groups with members under the age of 25 are prohibited. We do not rent to non-family groups unless ALL members of the group are 25 years of age or older. Any misrepresentation by groups of their age will not qualify for refunds.

This was our first time in PH1506...but 4th time at Southwinds. We very much enjoyed our fall break...usually we come in July. This condo fulfilled our need for more beds but the decor seemed drabby and outdated. A heated pool would have been nice but hot tubs were available and utilized by young and old alike!

The unit is a great size and was mostly clean. There were 9 in our party and we had more than enough room. Southwind is one of my favorite resorts to visit. That being said, there are a lot of minor things that could be updated/replaced in the unit just to make the stay more comfortable. It seems like the unit has the original furniture and linen package from when the property was built. The chairs on the balcony are very rusty and are shedding piles of rust on the floor. The three adult couples in our party all had a hard time sleeping because the beds were uncomfortable. The dining room is down to 6 chairs because the two other chairs are broken and stored in the master closet. One of the queen bedrooms had a chair that felt like the leg would break if you sat on it. In the same bedroom, the dresser drawers would not stay shut. The linens were very old, bedspreads pilling and scratchy, curtains frayed and torn, etc. Again, nothing here that ruined our stay, just the unit desperately needs to be updated-especially for the $$$.

Overall, this was a great condo and well depicted in the photos. We went in late June and the location is right next to the only 2 high-rises for a few blocks in either direction so the fear was the beach would be packed, but it was well spread out.
There were small (and I mean very small) issues of burnt out lights, difficult to open sliding doors, and double entering of the keypad code but nothing of note to be a deal breaker or something to ding a review with a building that's not brand new, so we're used to it.
DJ, who you contact for any issues, was great to talk to and really helped clarify as the terms and conditions are quite strict regarding who is responsible for damages.
The rooms were spacious and beds were very surprisingly comfortable!! Usually towards the end of a vacation you're longing for your own bed, but we felt just as rested at the end as when we arrived.
The living room furniture is comfortable sturdy, no complaints there.
The kitchen was a little tight when two people were working inside, but hardly any kitchen is, unless you're spending huge amounts for a luxury home.
The check-in process was a text received with the code and easy to get in once you learned the key code needed to be entered twice. The first time unlocked the deadbolt (we think) and the second time you enter it the door handle lock unlocks. We were never able to get in after the first time entering the code, but again, was a super simple thing to get around.

I can open the doors and hear the ocean talk to me. I have been coming down for five years now and it gets better every time.

The unit was very cozy and clean! It was big enough for my large family, and had plenty of pools for everyone of all ages to enjoy! Check-in and Check-out was very smooth, nothing stressful or complicated! Balconies provided breathtaking views and felt secured. This unit definitely deserves praise! That being said, there were a few small complications in the unit. First thing we noticed was that a towel hanger in one of the bathrooms wasn't properly mounted to the wall and fell off. The lights in the living room flickered on and off a few times our second night and didn't turn back on until the next day. Additionally, the lights in the rooms were a bit tricky to work with but it wasn't that bad. Overall, we had a great trip!

Enjoyed our family vacation, however updates are much needed. Chairs were zip tied together so they would not break. Painting needed to be done. Mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.

Very nice experience. Loved the size and features. The top floor was a bonus. Minor issues were a loose arm on a dining room chair, very small amount of what looked like mold in master shower, wind noise from under the front door and one queen bed should have been replaced. All other beds, pillows towels were clean and plentiful. Kitchen was well appointed. Living room is in good condition. A bit worn and dated in some places but would definitely like to return.

We had a great time. There was a few issues. One of the dining chairs was broken and in the master bedroom closet under a lot of blankets and the towel rack in the bathroom of the bathroom in the bedroom on the left at the end of the hall kept falling apart. Other than that it was awesome. We will definitely tell all of my friends and family about this rental and how beautiful your place is.

This was beyond dirty! Most of the TVs barley work. They need to find different cleaners. Mold in the bath rooms. Dust and crumbs everywhere. If you look under the night stand in the master bedroom is a old can of bud light beer. And lots of bugs.

Big unit & plenty of room for the ten of us on this trip. Great view of the ocean from the top floor, and easy access to the beach. This unit needs some refreshing. You can tell this unit gets a lot of rental activity. It looks a little beat up. Also we encountered several cockroaches, both dead & alive. The pools weren’t the best either. For the price we paid, I expected more.

Great location, awesome corner unit. However this unit is very outdated and the furniture is very worn. The bedroom carpets are extremely worn. The shower had mold in the corners. The dryer had to be turned on numerous times to dry the cloths. Disappointed that there was no Keurig coffee machine. This unit can really use a makeover for the $ that is charged.

Love the location of the property. We enjoyed our stay. We did have some issues and called and things were sort of repaired. The sliding glass door was very hard to open in the living room. They did put some lubricant on it, but it was still very hard to open. This property needs an update. The couches need to be replaced. Overall we did have a great time.

The Southwind 1506 was everything our 3 generations family of 10 could granddaughters and grandson each had their own rooms, the living room was sooooo spacious and the dining table large enough for us all to play games. Enjoying early morning coffee on the oceanfront balcony was heaven. Every room was clean and fresh and beautifully decorated. The indoor pool, the outdoor pool, lazy river and hot tubs and of course the beach delighted us all.The location was so conveniently close to our favorite restaurants, mini golf courses, amusements and shopping. We all had a fabulous week and truly enjoyed our stay in 1506.

Only problem we had was with the freezer which management apparently knew about but wasn't fixed before our stay. Freezer wasn't working for about 3 days with no ice and temperature in fridge was almost 50 degrees.
