About this condo rental
Situated in Lake Sammamish, this lovely condo for $190 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Welcome to Lake Sammamish living! Escape to this 8 mile long scenic lake only 4 miles to Microsoft HQ and 10 miles to Seattle that feels like a far away summer home. Eagles soar overhead and salmon swim by your dock, as you relax at the beach firepit, after a full day of boating. This gorgeous apartment is a fully furnished large one bedroom, bath, living room/kitchen on the first floor with a separate entrance. It is on the Lake Sammamish waterfront with views for miles down the lake to the snowcapped peaks of the cascade mountains. It was fully renovated recently including all new kitchen and appliances, radiant heat tile floor, granite counters, maple cabinets, queen size bed, large oriental rug, 48” TV with DirectTV DVR, couch, desk, executive chair, printer, glass dining table, dishwasher, washer & dryer. It's fully furnished, first class, with everything you need, plates, glasses, silverware, pots, towels, linens, napkins, premium kitchen appliances (coffee maker, microwave, margarita machine/blender, food processor), iron, hair dryer, clock radio, - if you need it, and we don’t have it, we will get it. All utilities including Internet and cable and maid service every 2 weeks are included. There is a covered patio, a deck, gas grill, and a patio lakeside, and parking. We have a 120’ dock, with a fast 22’ Cobalt powerboat, 4 small sailboats, 2 stand-up paddleboards, 2 kayaks, and 2 windsurfers, as well as fishing gear, plus all the lifejackets, wakeboards, inflatable tubes etc. These are available for your use (once you are checked-out on knowing how to use them – and we can teach you). I'll need to ride along on the powerboat for insurance reasons. Across the street (literally) is 80 acre Weowna Park with miles of old growth forest trails for hiking/jogging. We live in the upper floors of the home, so check-in/check-out is easy and we are there if you need anything.

The apartment was a great spot to use as our home base while visiting Washington. The location provided a convenient spot to get to all the places we wanted to go. (We spent time in Woodinville, Redmond, Anacortes, Leavenworth, & Roslyn - mostly to hike and be outdoors) We especially enjoyed the patio outside the apartment and being able to get out and enjoy time on the water at the lake.
I will echo another review and advise that you do need to be okay with stairs for your stay at the apartment. The owner lives above the apartment within the home, but has the place designed for privacy during your stay with a separate entrance and patio space. The area is well lit for coming in at night.

Very gracious host with a beautiful apartment and beach availability. It was well stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. We loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful lakeside retreat that is well located and well equipped
Had a wonderful two week stay at Jim's lakeside retreat. This is a comfortable apartment with a well equipped kitchen, bathroom and washer and dryer. It has a lake view and a dock. This is a peaceful lakeside retreat in the side of a hill about 15 mins from Redmond or Bellevue. Jim is a superb host and may even often to take you on a boat ride around Lake Sammamish - it was a real treat. Highly recommend this place for work or time off - it is good for one or two. There is a small conference store about a mile to the South - do your shopping at a supermarket about 10 mins drive away. There is a park nearby for walking. The driveway is best found with a GPS and read the instructions carefully - it isn't hard to find but a little confusing the first time and the driveway is a little steep so pay attention if you arrive in the dark. Overall a great Pacific Northwest experience. Highly recommended. A+++++!!!

The parking was adequate and the apartment was a few steps down from it. The apartment was just big enough for two adults. It was VERY clean and had every thing needed for cooking and cleaning. There was access to a washer and dryer in an attached room accessible to the apartment. The view of the lake was partially blocked by another residence, but what we could see was lovely. The bushes needed to be trimmed in order to enhance the view and within a day, after speaking to the owner. Jim, had them trimmed and cleaned up.Jim offered many times to take us out in his speed boat which we finally did and had a great view of the homes half way around the lake in a half an hour ride. The natural process of aging made climbing the many steps up and down to the water front a little more challenging than we had expected and as a result, we wouldn't recommend it for seniors with handicaps or those with other difficulties with stairs.Once in the water we enjoyed the use of paddle boards and kayaks and in our younger days we would have taken advantage of the sailboat.

Our month on Lake Sammamish
This is a great scenic lakefront property and provides onsite parking. We spent a month and have never felt so relaxed. The rental portion is ample in size and not at all confining even for our month long stay. It has just about everything you need. Jim and Mimi are gracious hosts and do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. I even borrowed a handmixer from Mimi. Lake Sammamish is beautiful and full of activity. While we were really able to relax we like to stay active. They have all the lake lifestyle amenities (i.e., paddle boards, kayaks and sail boat) which we took full advantage. Also, Jim took us out for a sunset ride on his boat. They are in close proximity to restaurants, shopping and a variety of outdoor activities. All in all we had a great month on Lake Sammamish and hated to leave. My only recommendation would be to update the bedroom carpet for when we return.

Enjoyed the stay and view
The description of the property was exactly as advertised. We stayed there for a week following surgery and had a very relaxing time. The weather didn't cooperate too well but that wasn't a big deal as we still enjoyed our time and the view of the lake. It is within easy driving distance to many stores and places to eat. I will be returning again when visiting the area.

Wonderful apartment
This apartment has everything. The lake views, peace and quiet, yet five minutes away from restaurants and shopping. A trip into Seattle is 30 minutes. Loved it. Everything you need in the apartment and outside a patio and little beach with a fire pit. Owner is on site to answer any questions or give recommendations. Hope to be back some day..

Wonderful 2 weeks resting and enjoying the area
Jim is a fine host. His daylight apartment is well equipped and almost new. Everything we could have needed was supplied- even some starter food. We used some of the water sports equipment and even his Lido sailboat. The is quiet and restful location with a partial view of crystal clear lake Sammamish. We would like to return. No reservations in recommending this rental to others.

Simply perfect
We have stayed at several VRBO properties, and this is at the top of the list. The location was terrific, both for Seattle and Bellevue, the lake was beautiful, the apartment was great, and Jim and Mimi were wonderful hosts. Jim even took my wife, son, and grandson on a tour of the lake on their boat. I'm a professor, and I found the apartment a quiet, perfect place to work - reading, writing, and phone calls - all with a view of a beautiful lake. Absolutely no negatives.

The location of the apartment, it's lakeside view, the condition of the property and the personal boat ride were all outstanding. The only negative was the lack of handrails on the upper and lower stair runs. This omission was particularly noticeable to me because: a) my wife has a balance problem and she was especially apprehensive about going up and down the stairs, and b) my working profession as a safety specialists related to the design of, among other things, stairs and walkways, made the current stair designs especially obvious in there lack of a handrail that is usually mandated by a city building code. Finally, several of the stairs were in serious enough dis-repair (e.g. broken concrete treads) to add to the problem of missing handrails.

An exceptional home, away from home!
The nine mile long Lake Samamish; which we overlooked from our living room, too was a constant source of entertainment; with many fisherman, water skiers,boaters, and small planes landing and taking off!
On the second afternoon of our stay, "Jim" our host offered us a ride, and lake tour on his boat! It was exceptional, as we spent nearly two hours cruising about Lake Samamish, learning both local history, and enjoying awesome views in all directions. Which included magnificent views of The snow/glacier covered Mt. Rainier to the South!
The home faces due East, and we were treated to brilliant, colorful sunrise over the lake on several evenings, during our stay! Inside the home, I felt as comfortable as if in my own home on Oahu! Everything was spotless. It included a fully stocked kitchen; with all the basics, plus much more in the way of condiments, spices and the like, even had an electronic wine bottle opener! The Queen size bed was both firm, and quite comfortable. In the living room, there was a very nice HD 52' TV, and DVD player; with excellent reception; as well as a leather love-seat, and pair of black leather chairs. The dining area had a quaint, glass table; with seating for at least two. The was also a desk in the living room; a nice bath; with both a shower and tub; as well as a HD washer and dryer available off the bathroom! And a full sized hot tub available on the outside deck, where you can soak, and overlook the lake while relaxing!

The home is in immaculate condition; even the walls are decorated with copies of both "Vincent Van Gogh, and "Claude Monet" artwork! The views overlooking the lake from both the bedroom and living room are gorgeous! This rental property truly has all the comforts of home, and more! This week has passed quickly, unfortunately we have to check out today; however most certainly will return for a subsequent visit, next year!

Stunning Views
Absolutely beautiful. Lake views every morning with our morning coffee. The rental is spacious, roomy and very nicely decorated. Jim and his wife are so very nice and helpful. Loved the location on Lake Sammamish and close to Bellevue for restaurants, groceries and shopping. We spend a week there and truly did not want to leave. Very quiet and afternoon sunsets are beautiful. The sunrises are beautiful also while you sit outside and drink coffee. I would stay here again. Thank you Jim for a fantastic vacation experience and an awesome place to stay.

Jim offers a nice, clean apartment which is very convenient to Bellevue. We enjoyed our short stay and we also enjoyed fishing off the dock. Nothing caught except some weeds, though.
