Location couldn’t be better. Right in the old city. Beautiful.
Had issues with the a/c. First night, for some reason the a/c didn’t work and it got close to 28C in the room. I was assured the next day that it the a/c was fixed, but again the temperature rose to 26.5C overnight. I had no way of overriding the digital thermostat. I texted the owners, but they replied after we left. This is the downside of remote owners. No one is there onsite to address issues. Oh well. Would have given a 10/10, but waking up sticky and sweaty is a major fail. No mention of a partial refund from management.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Amatè Suite in Lecce while attending a family wedding in Puglia. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and in a perfect location.
A special thank you to Georgie, whose kindness, professionalism, and excellent English made our stay even more enjoyable. She welcomed us warmly, provided great local recommendations, and took wonderful care of us at breakfast. Georgie was a big part of what made our stay so memorable.

Amatè Suite benefits from an excellent location, both close to the entrance to the historic centre (so easy to park outside and get in) and within easy walking distance of everything you'd want to see.
The suite we stayed in also enjoyed a very large bathroom and corresponding big shower, as well as two sinks. This felt luxurious compared to the small en suites we'd experienced elsewhere on our trip.
On the downside, the suite we stayed in suffered from a smell of damp (exacerbated by the towels), and it was hard to shift it with no window to the outside from the bedroom (there was a window in the bathroom, and a window into the central courtyard/breakfast area from the bedroom).
In addition, the WiFi was temperamental making planning the rest of our trip challenging. The host told us it "comes and goes" and while we discussed the possibility of ending our reservation early because of it, it returned in time to convince us to see out our stay.
