Beautiful lakefront stone cottage located on a large sandy beach formally known as Char-Nel-Shores! The home has 5 bedrooms, three full baths with firs floor half bath and large private sun room .There are 2 master bedrooms one on first floor with en-suites. Enjoy plenty of beach walking and swimming. Entertain with three patios, fire pit, and relax every evening watching wonderful sunsets from the double swing, the full size carousel horse , three tables or the abundant beach chairs. From the yard and beach you can see several islands,many species of birds such as eagles, blue herons, white egrets, duck families,sand pipers. and diving terns. From the back yard you can walk almost a mile east and west in knee deep water with a sandy bottom. .

We spent 5 days here with our daughters, sons-in-law and granddaughters and had a wonderful time. The location can’t be beat. It’s is so perfectly located to many great restaurants and activities and the backyard/private beach is perfectly placed for boating watching and sunsets. There was plenty of space for everyone with 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The owner, John, was very responsive as well. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful accommodations. 4 generations under one roof with room to spare. So nice to have bedroom suite 1st floor snd 2nd floor. Cupboards well stocked with amenities in the kitchen. Our family lives to cook at home so it really met our needs. Kiddos 6&8 could run out back sun room to water with lots of knee deep sand bars. Never fearful parents grand snd great grandparents could take deep breath on the shore. Very enjoyable sites near by. Going back next year for certain. Thanks to the owners for a very special week. Property was in excellent shape and housed our four families for our 50 th anniversary. Close to Cleveland guardian stadium, cedar point, African safari And directly on Lake Erie. Enjoyed by all age groups! Also great interaction with owner at end of vacation.

My family and I were pleased with this property. There was ample space for my family to spread out, and having central air conditioning was delightful during the hot, humid summer days/nights. The beach was perfect for our six year old, who enjoyed playing in the lake. It was so convenient having the small beach to play on right outside the back door. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and all appliances worked great. There were ample sheets and towels available. Thank you John for a great stay! We hope to come back again.

Our trip to the Lake is an annual event that has been going on for over 30 years. We choose to relocate from Camp Perry so we could be in one place. We enjoyed the stay however the guys had a couple complaints. One key for 7 guys and only one working TV.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a space with plenty of room for the entire family. Johns house was definitely as described and had plenty of space. There were a couple of small issues, but I have no doubt they will be taken care of prior to other guests staying.

The views from this house are amazing. Two of the upstairs bedrooms overlook the lake. John responds quickly to your messages. We spent Thanksgiving weekend here and it was perfect. You cannot get any closer to the lake.

The property was very clean on the inside. Lots of spider webs outside on the windows and deck where the grill is located. Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were quite roomy. The living space was kind of small. There was a couch, loveseat and coffee table which took up most of the space. There was also a couch in the adjoining sunroom, but that is definitely a separate space. The lake views were gorgeous! We were fascinated by the varying lake water levels at the waterfront. It's a great place from which to bird watch. We even saw an eagle several times! The swing is broken, but John wasn't aware of that until we told him. It's an old looking wooden swing with not much paint left on it. It's broken in the middle of the seat. The location is fantastic, close to Port Clinton and not very far from Marblehead. We enjoyed our stay.

The inside of the house was clean and well kept. The outside could use a little bit if work but did not discourage our family from having an awesome time. It was right on the lake and quiet and the neighborhood was nice. It was close to restaurants and stores. Also, within 10 miles of catching the ferry to Put-in-bay! No major complaints at all! Hope to return next year!!

The house is perfect. My wife and I are in our early sixties and always get the downstairs master bedroom. Plenty of room left over for all the kids. Shopping is close. The fact that we were able to easily go 4-500 feet out in that water was outstanding.

We had a wonderful time at this lakefront home. The house is beautiful, clean, and well-kept, with spacious common areas and bedrooms. John was very prompt in getting back to us the few times we contacted him. The only suggestion we would have is for more dinner plates, wine glasses and cooking pots and pans. Other than that it was a perfect stay—we would definitely come back again!

Lots of wildlife and close to stores and eateries. 9 miles to Marblehead. Small white bass finally came in the last two nights. 3.5 baths was a real plus with 6 women and 3 men. No back-up toilet paper or paper towels as listed. No firewood as listed either. Remove those from the listing (as one shouldn't expect them) and it's a great place. One of our best stays at the lake.

This was our 5th or 6th time staying at John’s lake house, and like always, we LOVED it! There was a small issue with the a/c caused by a dirty air filter. John arrived within the hour and arranged for a service visit from a hvac servicer. We are already planning our vacation for next year.
