The house was even better than we had anticipated. Plenty of room for all. Loved the fireplace, especially given the time of year. Host was very attentive and left us perfect instructions. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice property and great area. The house worked perfectly for our party of 3 adult couples. Wish it had been a little nicer outside, so that we could have enjoyed the screened-in porch and firepit!

We met our adult kids here for a memorial day family get away. The property is great and in a beautiful location. We were able to walk to a local farmer's market.

Property was nice esp for our last min booking. Info prior to check in did state they had removed many blankets, etc for Cov19 cleaning processes and I failed to see that/plan before we arrived, so bring extra blankets if you enjoy being comfy. We had 4-5 in of snow and by early the next morning driveway to cleared out and sidewalk/stairs were shoveled which was a really nice unexpected bonus. We had 4 kids w us and they enjoyed games in the loft.

House was just as described. Home was clean and organized. Owner was extremely helpful before we arrived with good suggestions to help the ease of our stay and when we ran into an after hours, weather-related vehicle incident. Would definitely stay there again and thankful for the owners kindness.

Beautiful home in a picturesque country setting. Beautiful rolling hills and a 4 minute ride to the eagle ridge resort. The house was super clean and so comfortable for myself, my husband and another couple. We'd definitely love to visit again! Just be careful if you come in at night. The roads are winding and no lights on the road but once you see it in the daylight the views are beautiful!

The property is on a large lot in a quiet community secluded enough to where you can sit on the huge deck, enjoy a fire in the pit or sit enjoy a smaller lower level patio without seeing neighbors. The dining area seats 8 comfortably which we used to play games. Every space such as the dining room, kitchen counter, screened in porch, deck had plenty of room for 8 adults at least so plenty of room for the 5 of us to spread out. It is about 15 minutes from downtown. We loved the amenities like the pool. Golf courses galore! Super comfortable beds. Really all we brought was our food, and a few staples. Instructions and communication with owner was very detailed and complete. We highly recommend and would return!

The Powell House set-up was great for us! Very clean place! I can tell there's a lot of pride in ownership. My 7-year-old loved all the toys and puzzles. I LOVED that all towels and bedding were pristine white!! We do have a few recommendations to offer--mostly continuation in the upgrading that I can tell you've already done. None of these things ruined our trip, by any stretch! Just simply good for thought: ***Consider replacing the 2 chairs in the home (1 in living room, 1 in loft). They looked too well used. **Consider new sheets for queen beds--they all have pilling from use and repeated washes--which can be uncomfortable when trying to relax each night. **Consider putting a blind on the basement door window. We would have played more pool in the evening if it that window was covered. **The carpet on the main level is unraveling by the dining room, and as I walked through the main level barefoot, there were areas where I could feel something sharp... when I stopped to look and see what it was, I couldnt find anything in the carpet, but had a red dimple in my foot... seemed to happen mostly around the edges (like where the carpet transitions to tile by the kitchen and bathroom). Assuming it was the ridge of a staple or something... but I dont want it to get worse and cut someone. **(Purely cosmetic suggestion:) the kitchen counter tops need to be replaced. It would give the whole area a face lift! On another note, I apologize for leaving the cold stuff in the fridge. We forgot to grab it! Thank you for providing a nice place to stay! We would stay again!

We came to Galena for a wedding and had a great stay at the Powell House. Screened in porch is lovely, back deck is spacious with a large table where we hosted dinner one evening. Grandma & Grandpa came to watch our two year old - all had such a fun time. Very close to Owners Club with pool and amenities.

Beds were comfortable, shower upstairs in the bathroom is a little small. We took advantage of the pool located at the Owner’s Club, which was very fun. We also rented a pontoon boat on Lake Galena, which is part of the Territory. Note, that this is not a Sports Lake and boats only have 10 HP. We took the boat out to fish and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it rained a lot during our stay and got very cool. But all in all we had a good time and would rent the Powell House again.

Stay was very enjoyable, only issues were the small bathrooms and small bedrooms but they were adequate.

It was a perfect house for our getaway weekend! They weren’t kidding when they said fully stocked kitchen too!
