We loved this corner of Mirissa - it felt like a little town and the calm road by the apartment had great restaurants, shops and spas. The beach and hotel area, that is across the street was great! Really nice pool, amazing restaurant with a mix of Sri Lankan and international dishes. And just a really next level beautiful view of the bay. Perfectly situated away from the big restaurants. The service by the pool and restaurant was lovely and the waiters were very attentive.
The room needed some basic furniture, like a bed side table, some chairs and some more attention to detail reg. the interior. It was very sparse and felt empty, which is fine for a night or 2, but for a longer stay it could have been nice with a more home-like atmosphere.
We didn't quite get that the aparments were not connected to the sea side hotel - but that might be on us.
Every Tuesday is next door hotel has a super loud party going on. That's not this place fault, but something to be aware of.

We booked the land side apartments but were moved to seaside since the land side were not operating. The location is nice just in front of the Mirissa wave and the beach. Easy to check the surf in the morning. Be aware that since this is right on the beach the noice from the beach parties will definately echo in your room at night.
In the seaside apartments everything was a little off. Water did not work in one room, aircon did not work in another, light switch gave electric shocks etc. The owner explained that they are just starting the hotel business again after quiet covid years and there is a lot to take care of. This is ofcourse understandable. From the customers point of view the lack of basic equipment in the room should be communicated in beforehand. Paid way too much for the level of accommodation. The staff was nice so hope they will be able to steer the boat towards more sustainable business.
