Great location short walk to Twin Lakes beach. Perfect place for sunset. Large enough for 12 of us to congregate without being crowded. Kitchen well supplied for cooking for large a group.

The house is in a great location, half a block from the beach, and the layout worked well for our group of 10 adults and 3 kids. There was room to spread out, so even in rainy weather, we could use the two living rooms and the game room and not be on top of each other. Communication with the manager in advance of our stay was difficult, and I had to ask VRBO for help to get a response
When we arrived, the refrigerator in one kitchen was not working and the toaster oven and microwave in the other kitchen were also out of order. The latter two we were able to fix by pushing the reset button on the wall plug, but we had to make do with one refrigerator for our group during our entire stay (fortunately, we had hired someone to deliver dinners for 3 of the 5 nights, or we would not have been able to fit all our food in the one refrigerator). The refrigerator in the game room is a tiny, under counter type--it was dirty and did not get very cold when plugged in, so it did not help.
There are two half baths in the living area and two full baths in the sleeping area (one with two showers), although the description states four bathrooms with bath and shower. The beds were mostly quite comfortable, although one was uncomfortably soft. The dishwasher did not get everything clean, so we ended up rewashing many dishes by hand.
Despite the problems, we had a great time, but for the price, it could use a couple of new appliances and a deep cleaning.

We did a family New Years gathering. For the number we came in. This is very accommodating. The house is so big you never feel over crowded and there’s plenty of space for everyone. The distance from the beach is optimal. It’s well worth the stay. This is the second time we have done this and plan to do this again.

Overall great space for a family. One refrigerator did not work which was a big problem. Had to go buy an ice chest. After paying large cleaning fee we were not pleased that we were expected to wash and fold towels in white and colored loads. Dryer took forever to dry so we left some towels in the dryer. I did let Michelle know. Also had to leave dishes in dishwasher in order to be out by 11. I believe other renters may have had same issue as some dishes and flatware in cupboards were dirty like they had just had a quick swipe with a paper towel and then put away. Pretty gross.

This seemed to us like a house set up maybe for large rowdy parties primarily. Not gonna be a repeat for us sadly!

The place is huge and has more than enough space to accommodate a large party, and the location to the beach is literally just steps away. On the cleanliness side tho, I’ve stayed in Motel 6’s with cleaner furniture. The couches are nasty and covered in various stains. The placed smelled very musty and mildew-ey when we checked in, we had to open all the windows and air it out for hours when we checked in.
I’d get over all that normally, but the worst part is that the hosts or staff or someone entered the house while we were out during our stay. Huuuuge invasion of privacy.

Eight adults, four kids, and a baby went for an early Thanksgiving. Two kitchens were a plus. The house was large and comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. There are two large decks and a small sweet yard to relax in. Everything you need for the beach is there- boogie boards, sand toys, sun umbrellas. Two minute walk to a great beach. Totally recommend!

This was a great house to stay for large gatherings! We had 10 adults and lots of kids staying here and there was plenty of room. Having the two kitchens was convenient.

This is such a great spot, so close to the beach. The owners were great communicators and we had a great time.
The layout of the house was a little funky in that all the bedrooms were downstairs and the living areas upstairs. There are stairs down to the front door, and the game room is accessed around the back of the house, down 2 flights of stairs. We had one person in our party with bad legs, another on the verge of a knee replacement. The stairs were difficult for them to navigate as much as we needed to during our stay.
Lots of amenities, we appreciated the plastic, kid-friendly dishes and sippy cups! Pack-n-play and booster seats were another bonus.

Our family of 18 fit perfectly in this home. The two bunk rooms along with the game room were real hits with the kids. And the two kitchens were a real help preparing meals for 18. But the best part of the home for us was location. Just steps away from the beach made it so easy for our big family to get to and enjoy everyday. We would love to rent again as Michelle was wonderful and very accommodating.

We had a large family get-together to make up for the traveling disaster that was the previous Christmas. We couldn't have asked for a better place! With bedrooms for everyone, and bunk beds for the kids which they were very excited about, and a massive table for the whole family to get around, this house was perfect!
Literally 2 doors down from the beach, this place was able to lean into what made Santa Cruz special. Plenty of parking for all, with a convenient market just down the street. All guests were extremely impressed and we're excited about returning in another year!

Our family of 11 were easily accommodated in the house. Plenty of space for all to be comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Furniture was clean and comfortable. Three issues: 1. Two sets of instrctions regarding what to do with towels. Email said to wash, instructions on wall said to leave on machine. 2. There were supposed to be extra keys left on counter, which were not there. 3. Many of the down stairs outlets didnt seem to work. All very small issues which did not detract from our stay in any meaningful way.

It was super, the overall impression of our stay. We were impressed on how well-stocked the home was.
The patio area, the number of bedrooms, and the living space was great!
One issue we had was the water flow. We noticed that the shower water temperature was problematic. It wouldn't stay at cold and hot and was erratic. Another issue was the septic smell. We smelled it right when we arrived at the house.
If those two problems were taken care of, this would be an ideal spot for large groups.

Only 4-5 houses off a great beach- an easy walk for the grandparents down to the one year old in the stroller. The property was as described, two three bedroom townhouses converted into one house with 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens and 2 dining rooms. You enter on the bedroom level so there’s only one flight of stairs to the living areas.The two
main bathrooms have two showers each so I would describe it as 2 full bathrooms and 2 half baths. Ten of us slept just fine in the 6 bedrooms. The carpeted stairs in need of cleaning. There had been recent flooding in the area and the room with the ping pong table ( accessed only from the outside of the property) was a bit damp smelling but contained all the described boogie boards, chairs and sand toys. Lots of walkable shops
and cute cafes in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. Fantastic beach! Fantastic orange, lemon and lime trees! Fantastic flora!

We cooked in (very well stocked kitchen), enjoyed the very short walk to the beach and highly recommend this place.

We went to celebrate a milestone birthday with our family of 14 encompassing 4 different families ages 4-70. had ample space for everyone. With 2 family rooms and ample deck space we weren’t in top of each other. We could have a quiet space and a “loud” space. We weee glad we could bring our little dig. It made it easier for one family group to attend. Thank you for being dog friendly.

The house and the location were perfect for our purposes -- a family reunion to celebrate an 80th birthday. Minor glitches -- the cleaners were 45 minutes late with their work and our entry was delayed. Also, the departure instructions were contradictory about washing, drying and folding towels, and when we finally understood tha it was our job to do so, it was too late to finish the job by departure time. Teenagers especially enjoyed the boogie boards, and the kitchen and dining facilities were great for our big group.

Large fully equipped house that can comfortably fit multiple families (two condos turned into 1). Ideal location walking distance to a local's beach and farmer's market. Only a few minutes drive to more East side restaurants and shops. Michelle was a great host, very responsive and accommodating to our family with ages ranging from 70 years old to a 2 month old.

The location of this property cant be beat. Just steps away from a beautiful beach and a short drive to the boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz. We BBQd off the back deck and watched a beautiful sunset, before playing Ping Pong and foosball in the fun gameroom! Dont forget to bring some firewood to enjoy a cozy fire in the living room. The kitchen was well appointed and we had everything we needed to cook large family meals at the great large table. Overall a beautiful weekend at a great place, that comfortably fit all of our big extended family!

We were less than a 3 minute walk to the ocean as a entry was at the end of a cul da sac. Wish we had more time to take that walk.
The house is situated in a neighborhood, quiet time and use of decks ended at 10pm. All in contract before we booked— I only mention because you will want to sit out on the decks well past the curfew.
This home is a great place for two family’s to stay as everything is doubled.

We had a lovely weekend in this house. It was during a lot of rain and we were a little worried about coming, but the house allowed for plenty of room to spread out with lots of bedrooms. It is a bizarre lay-out with two kitchens and two living rooms upstairs, but it fit our group perfectly as the kids "claimed" one side for themselves. The location is awesome. The owner tells me the carpets are about to be replaced with hardwood which will make this our new favorite destination!

The property itself is 2 condos that have been turned into one unit, so that means that you have 2 kitchens, but also means that you have a lot of space for a big group.
You can tell that this property is a rental and it needs a bit of a refresh and TLC, but overall, we had a lovely family vacation and created a lot of special memories.

The greatest highlight of this property is the location. A 2-minute walk to Blacks Beach, on a lovely street, just around the bend from Twin Lakes, is stunning! The house is a little quirky at first as it seems like a renovated duplex, but turns out to be quite convenient with its two kitchens and plentiful living space upstairs. The home could use an additional bathroom downstairs but is manageable if those staying are quite familiar with one another. The property is up kept quite well, unlike many other rentals, and has ample beach supplies. This one is a keeper!
