Located in Hood River, this charming house for $287 per night is a great option for your next break. Our Hood River home is right downtown. We bought this 1905 home for its ideal location and charm. It's an easy two minute stroll to shops, cafes, breweries, wine bars and galleries. And of course, the immediate access to world class windsurfing/kiting, skiing, mountain/road biking, skateboarding, kayaking, rafting, fishing, hiking, climbing, hunting and fruit picking. The house has four bedrooms (3 up, 1 down) with super-comfy memory foam mattresses to ensure a great rest; a comfortable living-room with some river/mountain views; a fully stocked kitchen and a large fenced-in patio for outdoor lounging and dining. We were so happy to find this large house still available for our 4th of July trip to Hood River. It’s a comfortable old house with a large fenced yard and all the dishes, bedding, and board games one could hope for. I loved drinking my coffee in the morning on the front porch, but the best thing was the location. We parked our car in the driveway and walked just about everywhere we needed to go.
The hosts were so friendly and easygoing, this is definitely a no-stress place to relax and enjoy all the fun that Hood River has to offer.

We had 3 couples total who each got a bedroom and everyone said how comfortable their beds/bedrooms were. The fact that the there is a fenced in yard made it easy for our pup to run around while we hung outside at night grilling and enjoying the neighborhood. Also, the location! It was soooo close to downtown Hood River! We walked everywhere! (except the beach/river). We hope to make this a ritual and come back every 4th of July week! Thanks again, Mitch!!

Location was the very best part of this property. Close to all of Hood River’s breweries, but just nestled in a neighborhood to feel like home. Plenty of room to have the entire family at your gathering. Comfortable sleeping arrangements and no cramped feeling. Beautiful outside space. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Even had activity suggestions for our trip. Will be back!

Awesome Space - Perfect for a big crew!
We are frequent travelers to Hood River and Mitch was able to provide an amazing place pretty last minute. Four excellent bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and enough seating space inside and out for all of those people to grab dinner/BBQ. Large yard made it easy to dry out and sort gear. Highly recommended.

The house is big enough to share with lots of family. Made meals for 9 or more with seating inside and out. Small table for little ones. Small area mostly fenced in for pets. Lots of outdoor activities close by for all ages. Family already talking about another get together.

Wonderful Stay. Great for Families
We really enjoyed our stay at 801. the house is really perfect for families with younger children. It even has a ton of toys!! The house was well equipped, and it has a nice large kitchen and living area. The outside yard is quite spacious too which was also great for the kids. Super close to town so we could walk to everything. Thanks Mitch!

Great location
We were disappointed with the condition of the property. We weren't expecting luxury, but the photos online looked much better than it actually looks in person. Everything in the yard was dead and brown or overgrown, the kitchen was INFESTED with ants and it's just generally run down and depressing. Too bad - it has tons of character and charm. With some work, it could definitely be a 5 star.

Comfortable house, great location
Six of us stayed here for two nights. The house is in a quiet neighborhood a couple of blocks from the shops and restaurants of Hood River, and not far from the bridge to the water front. Well-supplied kitchen, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, nice TV, good WiFi, books and games. From an upstairs bedroom a nice view of the Columbia River. Small, but nice lawn with a patio table and BBQ grill.
When we arrived, there were a lot of tiny ants in the kitchen. (No surprise at this time of year.) A call to Mitch, the owner, led to a quick solution. Mitch also provided lots of useful information about Hood River.

Great place for weekend fun
Second time staying here, and just as good as the first time. A great house for lots of ladies. Love the rooms, and you can't beat the location! Really easy walk to town and back (even lugging a case of wine 😉). Would book again in a heartbeat!

Great location! Was a perfect fit for our family vacation; very kid and pet friendly.
Everything we needed; nothing fancy but matched our expectations and everything was as advertised. Lots of games, toys for small children, internet, tv, stereo, etc. Kitchen had everything needed as well. Overall highly recommended for a stay in Hood River.

Quaint home in the heart of Hood River.
What a find, perfect location.
Very clean, crisp white sheets on the amazingly comfortable beds.
The kitchen has everything to make a delicious meal to share in the perfect dining room for gathering.
Our girls,weekend at this very comfortable home, will be one I never forget.
The owner is super cool and so accommodating, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home, highly reccomend.

Great location!
This was an adult family getaway, with us, as parents, and our three adult children and their spouses/significant others. The house worked very well for us; we had one single, so the three queen beds and the bedroom with two single beds was perfect. This is an older house, with charm; but it is in the older style with smaller bedrooms and no in-suite bathrooms. There is a bathroom on each floor. All appliances were working and the we had no problems with the TV or the wi-fi. The large screen TV was only in the living room. The house is stocked with about every game imaginable. There were condiments, etc. in the refrigerator. Plenty of pots/pans and dinnerware if you want to cook. The location is absolutely fantastic, being within 3 blocks of many, many restaurants, breweries and wineries. The house is pet-friendly for a small fee. The only reasons I didn't give it a five are the small bedrooms and the fact that the fenced yard is not entirely fenced, so dogs cannot be left outside unattended. There is outdoor patio furniture which would be delightful if it was a bit warmer outside. Absolutely have breakfast at Bette's Place and order a cinnamon roll!
