About this house rental
Nestled in Chincoteague Island, this lovely house for $102 per night is a great choice for your next break. Bay Mist is a nice two bedroom town home that features water and lighthouse views. There have been major updates and renovations to enhance your vacation experience! The first floor has a large dining/kitchen area, living room with TV, and a half bath. Upstairs features a master suite bedroom (with newly remodeled bathroom) and a private balcony that offers lighthouse/water views, as well as a second full bath (also remodeled) and another bedroom with a double bed and two twins. Lighthouse Estates offers a community pool and water access/shared dock for guests. - Linens and towels are not included with your reservation. Please inquire about our new attractive linen packages! - No smoking is permitted on the premises. - No pets are permitted on the premises. - Any reservations made for a future year (known as "Advanced Reservations") are subject to rate and availability changes. These reservations will be confirmed in January of the arrival year.

We had a great vacation! Bay Mist is clean, safe and in a great location. We loved having the pool. Such a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Great view of the lighthouse! We rented another unit in Lighthouse Estates last year and enjoyed the location so much, we decided to try a different unit this year! We look forward to staying here again.

June 2022 Stay
We had a great time for 2 weeks. As we have been coming to Chincoteague for over 30 years we didn't have to do the regular tourist thing, but could relax and choose what to do. Bay Mist was just perfect for our family. The remodeled bath is beautiful. Only thing I would add is a 2nd TV. Thank you for the gift certificate for Famous, one of our favorite places to eat, it was a very nice special touch! Having use of a swimming pool on non beach days and for evening swim was great! Having the kitchen and grill to make some meals was a money saver. We spent 2 days at the waterpark and loved every minute there, definitely suggest renting a cabana there, our 3 year old loved it all!!! Took advantage of different food trucks, Don's, Village and Famous. We had a great summer vacation, been home one day and wish I was back in Chincoteague.....be back in October can't wait and Bay Mist we will see you again next summer!!!

This was a great place to spend a vacation! This home is beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for the whole family. We hope to be back soon. The ponies were visible everyday across the Assateague Channel. Bring your binoculars and your telescopes for more outdoor sights!!

We had a wonderful time. The view if the lighthouse was beautiful. We could see the ponies and watch the boats go out fishing. we loved having the pool with our grandchildren to use after our beach times. while a couple days were not beach days the pool was a blessing. The space in the townhome was great and it had almost everything we needed, except a second tv. look forward to coming down again.

The unit is on the end so it allowed for extra windows in the spare room. The sitting room and beds were cozy. The balcony was nice and the chairs were sturdy but you need bug spray before you go out there. We love the keyless entry too! The unit had what we needed and we had a blast! Yes, there were flies but thats the beach. There are flies everywhere. We didn't have a problem with the trash or smells and we cooked out on the grill most nights.. Unfortunately, there were ants though. The place was clean but there were carpets everywhere, even in the kitchen and it was not clear how clean they were. We have a toddler so she got into everything, everywhere. It seemed like the cleaning crew is not as attentive to floors or even under couches. There were spills near the trashcan that particularly attracted the ants and food dropped on the carpet in the kitchen had a lot of hair on it. The master bath was beautiful but it was also clear that the cleaning crew doesn't scrub the whole thing because the mildew buildup around the edge of the shower was pretty gross. The property manager was responsive when we texted about the ants thougg. We loved our stay and the location. The pool was nice but really cloudy and bc of rain it was too full so there was a lot of bugs. The skimmer had holes so we couldn't skim the pool.

When we arrived there were a lot of flies in the unit and in the cabinets, spent most of the first day recleaning as it was left fairly dirty with crumbs on the ground and bugs inside. Couches, carpets and pillows were stained as well. We found they keep all the units trash cans beside Bay Mist which resulted in the flies and bugs. Would not stay at this unit again due to cleanliness and trash smell/bugs. We enjoyed the pool area and the dock though.

The place was very clean and nice. Plenty of space, stylish and 3?bathrooms was fabulous! The pool was great. We were allowed to fish off the dock. We had a view of the lighthouse. It was not the place I thought I was getting that was shown right next to Memorial Park(with view of playground). We ordered the linen package, there were plenty of towels but not enough pillow cases for all the pillows. We did not know the linens would not be on the beds. We had to make all the beds upon arriving while weary from a day of travel and carrying in the luggage. There was no staff interaction (except by text) because we were there on the weekend. I would stay here again.

This is our third year staying at a unit in Lighthouse Estates. We've stayed in a different one each time, and they are all nice. Bay Mist was well decorated and comfortable. There were some minor disappointments. The coffee maker didn't work properly, the chairs on the upstairs deck were rusted through, and there is only one television in the whole unit ( downstairs). Other than that, we had a lovely time at a great location for crabbing and bike riding

Great view of lighthouse
Staying at lighthouse estates was great. View of lighthouse, birds and pinies with binoculars. Had grandchildren so the pool was perfect when it was too windy on the beach or coming back from it. Close to memorial park and playground. Very quiet location.
