Beautiful location and house- Our group of ten enjoyed the layout and décor of the home and location. Beautiful views and sunsets were enjoyed by all. Layout offered plenty of room for a large group to socialize and play games. We ran into several issues that made the stay less comfortable than expected.When we arrived, the house had strong musty smell. We had to open all the doors and windows for quite a while just to air it out. For the price of the rental, we expected to walk into a fresh, clean space rather than a musty one.There were also clear signs of delayed maintenance and a lack of thorough cleaning. The large wooden table with deep grooves had food debris, dust, and other buildup inside the grooves. Cobwebs were visible throughout the house, and the projection wall above the fireplace was coated with black soot. These details made the home feel like it hasn’t had a deep cleaning in some time.One thing that should definitely be called out in the listing is the extremely steep driveway. Parking was difficult, and the constant shuffling of cars to get people in and out became a hassle and took away from the overall enjoyment of the stay.The property itself has great potential and is well‑decorated, but it needs a deep cleaning, more consistent upkeep, and clearer expectations around parking. With those improvements, it could be an excellent stay for future guests.

We really enjoyed this Northern Lights home. The location, house, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, game room, deck views and hot tub suited our three families’ needs perfectly. We feel blessed to have found Northern Lights and hope to stay again. Thank you!

Home is beautiful. We love the xmas decor. Home is welcoming and and comfortable. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Be sure to being extra bedding if you are going to use the funton and pull out twin bed. There was only 1 extra blanket even though the welcome binder says there are extra blankets in the closet. We had a major issue with the heat our last night. We tried turning it off, waiting and turning it back on but had no success. Trued Googling, no success. Finally tried calling the name and number listed. This was at 10pm on Saturday night. The call went to a call center, not the person listed. After 30 mins on the phone, they said they can't help us because they couldn't get ahold of the host. Since there were no extra blankets, we were freezing that night. Slept in extra clothes and our coats that night. I even message host in vrbo app but did not get a response until the next morning when we were already in process of leaving. About 7am, the heat finally turned on. It must be set on a timer? Although there were no issues the day/night before. This is my first time renting from a management agency. I will never do that again. The home is great but when there was a issue, we were left in the cold. Literally.
