About this house rental
Nestled in Durango, this attractive house for $350 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Located on a quiet, leafy street in Durango’s historic downtown area, this newly constructed green home is the best of both worlds: It’s within walking distance of Durango’s shops, restaurants and grocery stores, but it also offers impeccable privacy and one-block access to Horse Gulch, a nest of trails that lead straight into the mountains. For larger groups This house is conveniently right next door to the Durango Hideout, a 4-bedroom vacation rental that sleeps 10 (vrbo #1150651). Another house that we own downtown is the Carriage House that sleeps 7 (vrbo# 409501) The Treehouse has an expansive vaulted living area, including a kitchen outfitted with the latest stainless appliances, beautiful hardwood floors, in-floor radiant heat, and an entertainment center with a 55-inch LED Smart TV, direct TV, and a blu ray player. A wraparound deck has views of the mountains, and two sets of French doors invite indoor-outdoor living. There are three bedrooms all with king beds; two full bathrooms; and a den with two futons that can be used as an extra bedroom or a playroom that has a 37' LCD TV with a blue ray player and netflix streaming. A seven-person hot tub makes it easy to appreciate the abundant Southwest stars. It all adds up to a luxurious and comfortable home away from home, ideal for a big family or a group of friends. High efficiency Mini Split LG AC units have been added to the great room, master bedroom and downstairs den. These units are incredibly quiet due to a central compressor that is located outside the house. The two downstairs bedrooms didn't get AC units because they are already very cool due to being built below grade and they are right next to the downstairs den that has an AC unit. My family and I stayed here for our family vacation to Durango and it was perfect! The Treehouse has beautiful mountain views and is in a great location. Walkable distance to a lot of places. The host was attentive and easy to contact. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We truly felt at home! Great for a family trip or a weekend getaway!

Stayed for four nights with family and friends, plenty of room for the 7 of us. Enjoyed the hot tub! Close enough to walk to nearby shops and restaurants, great location. The house had everything we needed for our stay.

I would give this stay a 10/10. The house is located on a secluded little street, ultimately giving you the feeling of remote getaway in the middle of town. The host was good with communication, posting clear instructions, and supplying you with activities you can do around town. I would stay here again.

7 ladies came for a two night stay to celebrate a birthday and ridge the Narrow Gauge Railway. This house was in an excellent location, was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Perfectly situated very close to downtown but set back off road so there is very very little through traffic. Nice and quiet, very spacious, great for bigger groups. Definitely recommend!

We arrived after dark and had a little trouble finding the driveway. Make sure that you read all directions from the owner (something we didn't do) before arriving - especially after dark! The property was very clean, and we loved the ski lodge decorating. There are no tv's in the bedrooms, which didn't bother us, but might be an issue for others. All in all, a great stay!

Andrew's place is absolutely beautiful! It's nestled off the beaten path a bit in a stunning location, but still walking distance to downtown Durango and all it has to offer. It has all the amenities and lots of great design choices throughout the home. Andrew was always available if I had a question. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Nice house that is quiet and isolated. It's still walkable to coffee and groceries. The house has a place for bikes and gear and plenty of hangout spaces. Hot tub is in a quiet corner behind the house.

Our family of 7 adults and one child enjoyed our stay at the Tree House. Everyone was comfortable and made good use of the generous deck space. We liked the convenient access to town plus the tucked away peaceful surroundings. The house was nicely equipped and quite clean. Communication was prompt and helpful. Recommend this property for visitors to Durango.

We truly enjoyed our first visit to Durango and this house was perfect for our family of 8. Hope to come back soon and will only stay at this Treehouse.

Family reunion once a year! Location great. Road the Darnago/Silverton train and rented a boat on lake Nighthorse for water sports. Downtown great for walking.

We have stayed in this property a number of times over the years, but this was the first time post-COVID. There were six of us, my husband and myself, our daughter and her husband and her two children, 14 and 11. The house was more comfortable than ever and showed clear signs of dedicated attention and upkeep. The space works very well for multiple ages, providing a good area to gather in, both indoor and on the deck. The location seems ideal, close enough to downtown for easy walking (we walked down for ice cream in the evening), but removed from the commotion. This is still our 1st choice when we are thinking of where to stay in Durango.

Our family of six enjoyed the stylish Treehouse, the nice location, the decks with superb views, the king beds. The house had all we could want. And the owner was easy to work with. We hope to be able to stay there again sometime!

Great location! Walkability factor was high whether to downtown Durango or to the trails at Horse Gulch.
House was very clean and instructions very clear to follow. And most importantly the house was comfy, clean and comfortable.

The house is nice and well kept. An odd location but that was okay. Not far to downtown. Small for 3 couples. With only one general bathroom (that is very small) outside of the master I can’t imagine more people or families with lots of kids

Our daughter recently graduated from Fort Lewis and my family chose The Treehouse for our "base camp" for all things graduation. While only 5 of stayed at the house we could have easily fit 4 more comfortably. The large open living and kitchen area made this home a perfect spot for others to hang out during the day. The location was prime and we could walk on the trails behind the house, walk to our favorite breakfast spot (College Cafe) and grab a coffee at Durango Joes. It is perfectly positioned near campus (but not too close) and downtown.
Should we find ourselves back in Durango we'll definitely look to reserve The Treehouse!!!
