Nestled in Avon, this attractive condo for $440 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. BEACH BABY RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2024 SEASON ARE NOW AVAILABLE! Beach Baby is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront condo located on Hatteras Island in the Village of Avon along the shores of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore with killer views up and down the ocean’s shore. Our very 1st guest said on departure he had “to pry his crying wife from our deck”. Need I say more? Decorated with Ralph Lauren and Pottery Barn this 1100 square foot, two bedroom, 2 bath condo is upscale throughout including sand pebble quartz counters and matching island and fully stocked kitchen with settings to accommodate 8, with stainless appliances including a side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice-dispenser, double oven, stove with glass-top cooking surface, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, Keurig coffee machine, blender, electric can-opener and mixer. The granite counter top island seats 3 for informal dining with a dining area seating 4. The master bedroom has windows on three sides and includes sliding doors that open to the private porch with direct ocean shoreline views. Fall asleep to the sound of your own natural wave machine. This master includes a queen size Tempur-Pedic mattress, dresser, closet, 2 mirrors-one full length, and spacious private bath, HD TV and DVD player. The guest bedroom has two comfy twin beds, a dresser, night stand, HD TV and DVD player and closet with the second full bath only steps away. Blankets, pillows and comforters are provided. Linens and towels are not provided but can be rented by contacting Helping Hands, our local vendor. The living area includes a comfortable plush sofa with matching chaise, extra pillows and throws, Minka ceiling fan, full wall entertainment center with a 55 inch LG HD TV complete with stereo sound-bar, Panasonic blue-ray DVD player, Sony MP3/I-pod docking music station (I-pod not provided) and is well stocked with DVDs, games, puzzles, cards and books of general and local interest. There is a desk and chair beneath triple windows in the living room overlooking the Atlantic and southern shores. There is condo wide high speed Internet with Wi-Fi and HD cable television service in the living room and both bedrooms. Other amenities include a full laundry with washer/dryer combo, private porch with wooden Adirondack chairs, chaise, tables and a cocktail table with captain chairs for outside ocean front dining. The Islander features a private in-ground swimming pool with chaise lounges and chairs for our guests, picnic area with gazebo, outdoor charcoal grills, fish cleaning station, bike racks, 2 outside private showers and changing rooms, fish cleaning table and ample parking. The Islander Condo sits behind a dune on the ocean’s shores in the heart of the village of Avon served by many restaurants and shops, several within walking distance to the Islander condominium. A plaza which includes a Food Lion Market, bank, ATM, and fresh seafood market lies just 1 mile south of Beach Baby. A fitness center, spa and medical facility are just across the street. The Avon Pier is located immediately north providing excellent pier fishing. The shallow waters of “The Canadian Hole” lie 1 mile south of Avon on the Pamlico Sound and is a popular site for sail and kite boarding. There are also several deep-sea fishing charters available locally. Beach baby is on the 2nd living level and the Islander does not have elevator service. This is a non-smoking unit with no pets allowed. You will be renting from the owner serviced through a local caretaker, Hatteras Helping Hands, and not a large "big-box" real estate rental company. This is a weekly rental with a 7 night minimum (Saturday to Saturday). If you want to stay less than 7 nights, the rate is based on 7 nights and not pro-rated. VRBO and the owners are the only avenue to rent Beach Baby as Beach Baby is only listed on VRBO and HomeAway property #742893. WE DO NOT USE CRAIGSLIST TO LIST OR RENT OUR PROPERTY.

The pictures dont do it justice!!! It is perfect for 3 to 4 people. The decor was on point, along with the beachy tableware, and the deck was amazing!! You were literally on the beach!! There was so much to enjoy, watching kite surfers, surfers riding waves,the seagulls and sandpipers, and beautiful shells to collect!! Not far from a Crab Boil shop with excellent seafood. Fishing and sunbathing available. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and linens were freshly delivered by Helping Hands. The shower in the master bath is absolutely incredible!! Has one of those rain shower heads...could have stayed in there forever!!. Only drawback is that its 43 stairs to the condo since there is no elevator. So pack lighter than I did. Im hoping to go back next year. Overall experience....priceless!!!

Beach Baby was perfect for our family of 4 famiky vacation. We had the perfect location to the pier, the beach, shops and restaurants. The condo was clean & comfortable, a nice home away from home for the week.

Very well appointed on middle floor of a 3 floor condo. Right on the water and the Master Bedroom and adjoining porch have beautiful eastern views of the beach and sunrise. The condo is fully furnished and comes with some great cooking utensils. Plenty of fresh fish stores around and we made the must by taking home and cooking in the condo. Spotless charcoal grills available on the grounds. Looking forward to returning next June!

The condo itself has very nice aesthetic, w/ great views as advertised. Only problem is the water was turned off, making it unusable/unsanitary. Contacted owner, who did not apologize and said they couldn't do anything that evening b/c their maintenance guy was out of town. We had to fend for ourselves late on a Saturday night before Thanksgiving, 8 hrs and >400 miles from home and book a totally different property on short notice, 30 mins away. VRBO told us this owner offered full refund and they could only offer a 2-night, 1-star roach motel which was unacceptable. Owner then had the nerve to contact us 5 days later (Wed AM) saying that water was left running in the property and it was our fault if any damage. We did not leave water on and had the proof we didn't, which owner agreed finally to on Wed. and authorized refund (again). We have used VRBO many times with no problems at all so this was insulting, disappointing, and infuriating. Ruined our vacation w/ added stress. Oh and by the way, 8 days later we are still waiting on refund. To be fair, the owner left us a voice mail later in day Wed offering us free stay for rest of week and following week, which obviously is too little-too late and we could not use. I would never book this condo again, which is a shame: beautiful property, great location, but a cold, indifferent owner who blamed everyone else for the issues instead of getting things done for the customer.

Bonnie’s beach house was great. Right next door to the Avon pier and there was a major surfing competition the weekend of our arrival! Also hurricane Ian decided decided to deliver some gale force winds at the end of our stay. A lot of fun watching the storm come in! We had everything we needed and we’re very comfortable. Great place with perfect location!

The condo was very nice and decorated nicely, however there was a dirty dish in the oven, floors were dirty/dusty especially under the bed and there were a lot of spiders, we even got bit by them in bed. Our bed was dirty when we arrived. The patio door from the living room was very hard to open. The storm door on the front door had both closers pulled out of the wood and doesn't close on it's own.

Highly recommend Bros sandwich place by the food lion. The cowboy burger was fabulous! Host was great with communication when needed. Highly recommend this beautiful place right on the beach! Couldn’t ask for better!

Loved this clean, airy, beautiful and quiet condo. About 60 steps to the beach where you can walk for miles. We spent so much time on the deck with the beautiful views. Grocery store 1 mile, good restaurant next door, gift and surf shops across the street.
We spent most of our time at the beach, and walking the national seashore, yet did enjoy the saltwater pool which opened for the season our last day. Lights on pier at night bright, but balanced out with the beauty of it during the day.

We had a wonderful vacation in Avon, NC. My favorite thing about Beach Baby Condo was the deck overlooking the ocean. The condo is on the second level of living space, so well above the dunes, with an expansive view of the beach that extends from the Avon Pier just north of the condo to a great distance south of the condo. The best "picture" of this is the panoramic video that you can see at the end of the Beach Baby pictures which was probably taken from the condo's deck. The only downside to being near the pier is that the building on the pier keeps its lights on at night but the pier itself is dark after approx 10 pm and I quickly got used to the building's lights (just face away from them when you are sitting on the deck). By the way, you are probably about 100 yds OR MORE away from the pier so we felt very comfortable and safe swimming in the ocean in front of the condo. The sun rises right over the pier which is directly in line with the queen-size bed in the master bedroom, so you can actually see the sunrise from your bed if you, for whatever reason, didn't want to walk a few feet to see it from the deck (if you do not like a lot of light in the morning, bring a sleep mask). Because of Covid, you must bring your own sheets, blankets/comforters, pillows, DVD's, books, and games for obvious reasons. The place was very clean, and Bonnie the host was easily accessible by her cell phone. While we were there, the dishwasher was replaced, but this occurred while we were out and we had absolutely no disruption at all. Of note, there are 44 steps up to the condo which was not an issue for us, but could be for someone with mobility issues. I definitely recommend Beach Baby Condo, and Avon itself is perfect (big enough to have restaurants and shops but not nearly as crowded as some other areas along the Outer Banks). Loved it!
