Located in Avon, this attractive house for $207 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Second Star to the Right #145HC Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Lucky are the few who will get to stay in beautiful sound front, Second Star to the Right. This home has enticed visitors and neighbors for years with its perfect waterfront cul de sac location. It was, however, always an exclusive private home - a Neverland to renters - until now. The ground level has an outdoor shower, fish station, boat dock with seating, hammock, and a rare private boat ramp. Kayak, stand up surf, windsurf, or fish off your private dock. The large first living level opens into a panorama of windows that catch some of the island's best sunsets. Comfortable resort furniture offers the perfect perch to view the entertainment center with a large flatscreen TV/DVD and listen to the stereo. A large modern kitchen with a huge granite breakfast bar and stainless appliances will bring out the best in all recipes and their cooks. An extra-large waterfront dining area has postcard views. Second Star to the Right has a landing-field-size furnished sundeck. The first-floor bedroom has waterfront deck access, and the neighboring full bathroom boasts a large soaking tub and a premium shower stall. The large second-level great room with tall ceilings has a wet bar, comfy resort furniture, Romeo sundeck, flatscreen TV/DVD, and an extraordinary view of the water, wetlands, and sunsets. Both upstairs bedrooms have water views. The kids won't take long to find the upstairs furnished loft area - accessible by a built-in ladder. A large hall bathroom with a tub and separate shower is convenient for all. Second Star to the Right also has a full laundry room on this level. Lost boys, girls, and adults will find the vacation home they have always dreamed of at sound front Second Star to the Right. Things to Know Free WiFi Outdoor shower Up to two dogs are welcome. Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather. You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Dock details: Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The house was just perfect for us! Very clean & well laid out. The sunsets, sunrises & the full moon over the water while we were their was just beautiful. Fishing from the dock at the house was fun. We will be back!

The water right off the boat dock is great for swimming, kayaking, floating with rafts. We brought our boat and launched it right from the ramp on the property. The sound is peaceful and beautiful, with great views from the house. All the rooms are really big, including the kitchen which can accommodate lots of people helping prepare the meals. The neighborhood is really nice, and you can walk to one of our favorite restaurants (The Froggy Dog). We really had a wonderful stay and will be back.

Deck needs attention back door to bedroom didn't lock shower door upstairs track is coming off so couldn't use the shower n shower downstairs needs recaulked it leaked out n had to keep using towels to soak up water n coffee pot didn't work n door upstairs to bedroom don't have a stop so it came off track but other than that it was clean n had plenty of room

When we arrived at the home, it had not been cleaned, although Vacasa staff had told us it was ready. A cleaning crew was sent over once we called and complained. We also had to call an exterminator due to a bug infestation. Small tiny bugs, possibly mites, were found on the furniture and all over the dock. The deck, porch, and stairs need to be updated, as well. The wood is very old and worn. Kids and adults got splinters. Other than these issues it was a good house.

House was spacious with an amazing porch for sunset views. I communicated with Vacasa 2 different ways to let them know the upstairs shower door was broken, additionally, there was no coffee pot, despite one in the pics of the kitchen, also one of the pocket doors on the upstairs bedroom was broken and would not close. I never heard back from Vacasa on these issues. We bought a coffee pot and left it at the house. Also, very limited kitchen towels and no wine opener.

Second Star has a fantastic sunset view west over the Pamlico Sound, a private dock, a boat launch ramp, an outdoor shower, comfortable indoor furnishings and a huge, well-appointed kitchen. The neighbors are great. The location for watersports, such as windsurfing and kiteboarding, is good. However, there is no under-house parking and very little storage. The driveway is not level and difficult to navigate when backing in. The walkway along the water has some loose boards, so be careful. The front door is not sheltered and rain pours off the roof onto your head while you're standing there fiddling with the keys and the doorknob. Inside, there are two nice bathrooms. Neither of them is en suite, even in the master. Sliding pocket doors throughout the house are a little tricky to deal with. Overall, the house is a good value, but management needs to fix the loose boards immediately. Long-term, the owners should think about releveling the driveway and maybe removing some of the over-engineered foundation timbers to make room for under-house parking, storage and an entrance sheltered from the weather.

Overall the house was very good. It was clean and was in a great location. If you fish you can fish right off the back deck. The only bad is that the dishwasher stunk like stagnant water but we ran it and it cleared out ... will be checking into staying there again next year.
