Family getaway
Always a great week on the lake with family, so relaxing and can’t beat the views!

We had such a great experience at this property. The pictures do not come close to portraying the beauty of the views and the location. Our extended family had plenty of room to spread out. We were amazed how sound proof this home was! We had three children in our group, and we could not hear them from our room! The hosts were quick to respond to any questions and concerns. We loved this property and will come back again! Thank you Susan and. Charles for sharing your beautiful home!

1123 2nd St, Grand Lake, CO
It's and older cabin that has been remodeled and added on to, thus the flow of traffic between bath rooms and bedrooms is a bit awkward. That said, the location on the water and the view is excellent. Given the opportunity we would stay again. One lesson learned. Keep doors and windows closed during the day and open at night since there is no central air.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is enormous and provided plenty of space for our group to spread out. IT sits right on the channel between the two lakes and has a private dock. The cabin we well appointed and had everything we needed. We had a small problem with the wifi when we showed up and Susan took care of it very quickly. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin on the lake. It’s a large cabin with lots of room for a huge family or two smaller families. The views are incredible. The cabin is well stocked with everything needed. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time.

Mountain Living at its Best
This home was perfectly set on the inlet between Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. We enjoyed the views at all times of the day and loved having the dock where everyone could jump in and out of our kayaks all day long. The home layout was so comfortable and the three outdoor sitting/eating areas provided sun, shade and privacy at all times. The 20 minute walk into town via the foot bridge was so easy and lovely got through Point Park with all its wild flowers. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

awesome location
The views you wake up to are amazing. It is truly a piece of paradise. This year the wildlife were abundant. The moose swam in the canal on two different occasions. The house is furnished with everything you could ever want.

Amazing Place!
The house is in the perfect place to enjoy Grand Lake. It is right on the peninsula between Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake and it has water access. You can easily walk down to the water or put your boat in at the dock. The house is updated and has an amazing view of the water. It's very comfortable for multiple families to enjoy together, but to also have separate space. I look forward to going back again.

The only thing to make this vacation more relaxing would have been another week or two!
This past week has been a wonderful vacation for us with family and friends. When the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed fishing canoeing, boating and just sitting outside watching the rest of the people and animals having fun. When the weather was rainy, we sat inside and enjoyed each other's company in a very warm, comfortable, and inviting cabin atmosphere. The "wildlife" we saw - eagles, osprey, fox, moose, chipmunks, etc. were entertaining for all ages. The owners were very accommodating and responsive to communication. All-in-all, we struck it rich with this rental, and look forward to our next visit.

Perfect Place
We stayed in this beautiful home on Grand Lake for our son's wedding. We had 10 people staying there as our home base. It comfortably housed all of us and the floor plan was very accommodating for seniors. This house is designed so anyone can be in the hub of activities, or find individual quiet time and space. The views from the house are breath taking. We were able to walk to/from our 'in-laws' home. All communications with the owners were very helpful and informative. I wish we could have this home again when our daughter gets married in the Northwest.

LOVELY HOME FOR GOOD WEATHER AND NOT SO GOOD WEATHER
Our week included mostly good weather but one day that was cool and rained the entire day. We just turned on the fireplace and we all enjoyed the large family room, viewing the ever changing fog clinging to the mountains - reading books and playing games. Some of the heartier among us did hike and did put the kayaks in the water. The views are great - from seeing a beautiful doe right out the kitchen window - to the resident fox scurrying by as I sat in the great swing in the family room reading a book. On the nice weather days - the water activity in the canal is entertainment for those of us who mainly just enjoyed the home. The hikers liked the fact they could get up and out early, and not bother the others. One of our family's traditions is to all get ice cream. Some walked to the ice cream store - and some drove. We all agreed that this was a great place to stay.

Large, comfortable home with breathtaking views and you own "pet" fox.
We chose this lovely home for several reasons; it is on the water and has it's own dock, the spaciousness and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms mean't both of our kids and all 3 of our grandkids could enjoy the week along with us, the location is perfect - right on the outlet, with Point Park ( a picnicking park ) right across the water and downtown Grand Lake with ir's town beach, boat rentals, restaurants and shops an easy stroll from the home's front door. What we didn't know was that this was a superb wildlife watching spot. From the comfortable deck chairs we routinely gazed on moose munching right across the outlet, osprey diving for their breakfast, and a daily visit from the neighborhood fox! Amazing! You'll love it.

Perfect, homey, modern, rustic, beautiful cabin on the water
My family gathered in this house for a weekend reunion and it was the perfect house. What a beautiful view in a modern yet rustic cabin. We all loved the swing in the corner with all of the windows overlooking the water. The rooms were big and the house was warm. The beds were comfy and the bedding was nice & clean. The kitchen was nice and there was plenty of tables for eating with our big group. The fireplace was lovely. We could walk around the neighborhood, by the lake that has park close by and into Grand Lake itself. It is easy to find.
My family is excited to return to this house someday. I highly, highly, highly recommend this house to others!
A true gem.
Plus, the owner was fantastic to work with. Very kind and personable.

Grand Lake Gem
This rental in Grand Lake is specatcular. The cabin is gorgeous and furnished perfectly and has every ammentity you could ask for. Everything was well stocked as far as paper products and everything you need to cook. The views are spectatular and access to the lake is great. We had "iffy' weather but spending time in the cabin was so enjoyable we didin't really want to be outside anyway!
The owners were very easy to work with and gave great directions and helpful hints. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and have already inquired about booking for next summer.
We also got a bonus wild life viewing--2 foxes, a bear and a moose!!

Amazing home!
Beautiful place!!!! The house was big and held all 12 of us comfortably with room to spare. Everything was provided for us including shampoo and conditioner, pots and pans, plenty of towls and even cleaning supplies. We saw many animals on our stay. We saw the bear waling across the bridge and a moose that was in front of our house. Great experience for the kids. The house is literally 5 minutes from the beautiful town were we enjoyed shopping and good food and about 10 minutes from rocky mountainnational park. We cannot wait to come back and visit.

A Great Experience
We enjoyed our time at this home very much. It had everything we were looking for...a rustic, woodsy décor that was very comfortable. We loved the view of the mountains and lakes and wildlife. One morning a bear walked across the bridge! The sunrise and sunset over the water was beautiful and so the the rising of the moon. We slept with the windows open and soaked up all the wonderful pine-scented mountain air that we could! The owners were very friendly to work with as we set up the contract for our stay. We thank them for helping make our family reunion a very special time!

Perfect home for large family that loves reunions and nature
We needed a place for a family reunion that had 5 bedrooms, scenic views, walk-out fishing, and proximity to outdoor attractions. This home scored perfect in all categories. All family members loved the home. The kitchen & dining area were wonderfully large/modern, and the owners were very helpful/flexible with arrangements for our large group. We were able to enjoy the nature/wildlife we were hoping for. Good fishing locally, as well as within short distances, meant we enjoyed several fish dinners. Hiking in/around Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park (RMNP) was very easy. The Adams Falls hike is convenient (no park entry required) & a beautiful way to spend a half day. We were able to make a day trip across to the East side of RMNP, and arrive back home in time for supper (guys hiked the Deer Mountain trail, which was about 1 and 1/2 hours up to an incredible view (take 2 bottles of water each), while ladies enjoyed shopping in Estes Park). If anybody in your group qualifies for a Senior pass (age 62?) to RMNP, be sure to take advantage of it. Was not sure what to think about having neighbors closer than some of us would have preferred, but it worked out fine. The neighborhood was quiet, and a sweet little lady next door was one of the unexpected joys of the trip. Could not have asked for a better place to have four families make lifetime memories together. We will definitely have this on our wish list for our next reunion.

A great stay at a beautiful home!
This home was amazing! The views of Grand Lake and Mt. Baldy from the big windows in the living room and the wrap around porch were just fantastic. The home is modern and clean and it still had a cozy rustic charm. Space was not an issue at all…our party included six adults and four toddlers and we still had a bedroom that we didn’t use as well as a murphy bed on the ground floor.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with the owners, they were responsive and accommodating from the moment we contacted them. It is evident that they love Grand Lake and their home and want their guests to feel the same way.
The first morning we were there a bear swam across the channel right in front of the house! The next day two moose did the same thing and there were deer on the property nearly every day. The home is very close to the walking bridge and the public park and we enjoyed many family walks right out the front door. We rented pontoons on both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake, shopped, played at the park in town, hiked to and around Adams Falls (beautiful), enjoyed the patio at Pancho & Lefty’s for lunch and raced at the Go-kart track. The guys enjoyed walks to Daven Haven to play horeshoes, fishing off the property’s dock, grilling steaks on the grill at the house and loved the sauna.
When booking a place to stay in Grand Lake, the view, proximity to the water and the relative closeness of the property to town were the most important factors to us. This house met all of our wants and definitely exceeded all of our expectations. We feel so lucky to have found this cabin and enjoyed it immensely. We are already planning to come back again…and again!
