About this cottage rental
Grace's Cove Cottage is an idyllic Block Island retreat with sweeping views in almost every direction. Sit on the porch and savor the sunset, or lie in bed and gaze all the way up the North Point to the North Light. The views are simply spectacular. Tucked away from the bustle of town on the island's quiet west side, high on a hilltop, the cottage offers the very best of Block Island. With 4 acres to meander, the setting is spacious, private, and serene. Pick blackberries or raspberries in the yard, or amble down the dirt road to peaceful Grace's Cove, where on even the busiest of weekends you are likely to encounter only a few souls. The home has been lovingly refinished with pretty wood floors and comfortable coastal decor. It retains the charm of an 1800's cottage, including the original steep, narrow staircase to the second level. The three bedrooms are on the second floor so please keep in mind that this gem of an island home is not accessible to all. An artist's beloved residence, colorful paintings of the island's natural beauty fill the walls.

Once again, this was an amazing stay at just the most perfect Block Island house. The architecture is just lovely, the spaces are both historic-feeling/charming but also fresh and updated. The deck is perfection, with glorious sunsets better than any movie. It's so nice to just start a walk at the house, along Dunn's Cartway, with such scenic beauty you can't believe it. Quick walk to the most gorgeous beach that is usually completely empty of people (although we also like to mix in an easy drive to the main sandy Crescent Beach (usually at Mansion or Scotch entrances) for a more traditional beach experience. Really we love it and hope we can stay here every year!
