Located in Trinidad, this charming cottage for $184 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This little house overlooking Trinidad Bay is perfect for exploring the North Coast and relaxing in a distraction-free neighborhood. The house has a wall heater, space heaters and wood heat, a porch to stare at the Big Blue, all the comforts and amenities, cozy accommodations all around. Whether you want to hike the nearby trails, charter a fishing trip, read several books, or just enjoy a peaceful getaway, this house will likely have what you need. One queen-sized bed in the bedroom, 1 futon couch in the Chart Room. Owner lives on property, in separate unit, which is good if you need anything during your stay. We do not offer WiFi and while this may impact your decision to stay with us, we have had several guests say they appreciated this piece. WiFi is available at the nearby coffee shop if it is something you need while traveling. We also recently went 100% solar so if you appreciate having minimal impact, this is a great benefit. It's an adorable and spacious cottage in the heart of lovely trinidad. Every detail has been given great care to make the stay comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed coming home after rainy outdoor excursions to a fire and fleece blankets. The windows had lovely views of birds and a glimpse of the ocean. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was outfitted perfectly. We just wished we could've stayed longer!

Pilot Rock Cottage was a great value, with good parking, comfortable kitchen/living room/queen bed (could have slept 2 more in 2nd room), nice wood stove for heat (supplemented with wall heaters), and a view of the harbor from the front deck. I loved sitting on the deck at sunset, sheltered from the wind, and watching the colors. Steve was a gracious host, and as attentive as we needed him to be. And Trinidad is a classic little community close to Sue-Meg Beach where our children/grandchildren were camping. We all ate at the restaurant a short walk from the Cottage and loved their fish and chips. Thanks, Steve!

Pilot Cottage is a classic little comfortable cottage with a sweet deck embraced by mature landscape in a prime location with a view of Trinidad Harbor. It's a very clean, quiet place with everything you'd need in a kitchen; the living room with a wood burning stove and the chart room were great spaces to relax. Steve is an excellent host, very welcoming and ultra responsive. Highly recommend,.

Location had everything we needed. Obviously a very experienced host based on how well stocked, accessible, and well thought out the property was. Highly recommend this location. Trinidad is THE place to stay in the Redwoods National Park area.

We’ve stayed in many homes throughout Trinidad and this one was the GOAT for our family of 4. Tucked away just enough to feel private yet set in the center of all the town action. The double open doors paired with the view (& wood burning stove!) makes this place so special. Thanks Steve!

A lovely well equipped cottage on a beautiful stretch of the Northern California coast. Walk to the beach and hiking trails and access to stunning State and National parks. Responsive hosts! Would definitely stay again!

This cottage makes me feel like I’m home because of all the wonderful household and kitchen amenities. I lacked for nothing. Have morning coffee on the porch, enjoy the view of Trinidad Bay, then walk to town …visit the galleries and shops! Our wonderful hosts provided everything we could possibly need!

Our stay in Trinidad was great and we found nothing to fault about location, comfort or charm of Pilot Rock Cottage. Location: walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shops. A sea view from the property. Safe off road parking. Quiet and attractive neighbourhood. Comfort: very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and all the practicalities covered (washer/dryer and bathroom facilities both good) Charm: a gorgeous setting with a lovely deck and garden where you can while away the warmer hours watching the birds or gazing at the sea view. We had one minor issue with our check in but it was very quickly resolved by Steve. This was a great base for local days out in Trinidad but also an easy drive up to the Redwoods. Great stay and if ever back we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.

This place was great for two people looking to spend time in a centrally located location on the coast. Walking distance to tasty food and the beach as well as hikes. We loved staying here and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. It had all we needed to be at home. Wood-burning fireplace was a treat for us Floridians! Location was perfect and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Trinidad is such a quaint town. Nearby forests and parks was just what we were looking for. The cabin had the best guest house book I’ve ever seen. Wish they were all that good. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Great quaint and cozy place . Was up there to see our daughter graduate! Did not get to spend a lot of time in the cottage but it was so cozy when we were there. Nicely decorated and just had a comfortable feeling right away ! Thx ! We will be back again and next time be able to spend some time really enjoying the space ! Thx!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Actually, we would. My husband and I stayed at Pilot Rock Cottage for a quick weekend getaway for our 10th anniversary. It was PERFECT! Super clean and adorable cottage with a wood stove for cozy evenings. The absolute best location in Trinidad also. We parked our car and never took it out again until we left. We hiked to Elk Head, took the hike up Trinidad Head, walked along the beach, and walked to restaurants and the grocery store. We highly recommend this place. Very reasonably priced and no hidden extra fees. Thank you! We will be back! Loretta and John

The cottage had everything I needed with a beautiful ocean view. The location is the best. The beach and restaurants are within walking distance and exploring further up north is a short drive away. Steve and Jen were very welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend staying at Pilot Rock Cottage!

This is a great cottage in the town of Trinidad. It is close to restaurants and the beach, and a great starting point to explore the Redwoods. It is clean and comfortable, and we would not hesitate to go back.

Lovely and comfortable in every way. All the amenities of home and then some. Even a very sociable kitty to complete the picture! The first day was ruined, however by the early arrival of a construction crew that pounded and drilled on the building all day long. Had we been told ahead of time, we would have delayed our trip for a day and requested a refund for that wasted day .
