About this condo rental
Located in Sanibel Island, this lovely condo for $312 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This is a two bedroom two bath beach villa in south seas resort. The top two floors in an elevator building unit 2433 Renovated and very nice this has the BEST views since it occupies the top two floors of the condo complex. one king bedroom two twins in the second bedroom There is a twin bed in the loft and a sofa sleeper in the living room. very quiet unit since it is on the top two floors of the resort. beach items available to include beach chairs, beach towels and cooler. An umbrella MAY be available I do not guarantee it since it gets broken by quests frequently and does not get reported as damaged but I check them every time I am there. I do require a rental agreement be signed Golf Carts can be rented with a local provider I no longer guarantee the use of umbrellas in my units due to the damage by guests I do have beach chairs and umbrellas but DO NOT guarantee the umbrellas YOU CAN USE THE FOLLOWING: 1. 3 condo pools 2. 3 BBQ areas 3. All pool chairs, loungers and tables at the 3 condo pools since I own in all 3 associations 5. All my beach items to include chairs, beach towels, and sand toys 6. so many off site restaurants (walkable and others by car) not sure why one would eat at south seas (expensive) . 7. You can rent bikes, golf carts and other items of interest with local providers that are less expensive than you would pay with the resort

A bit awkward. First issue is trust. Most of our stays are with people whom assume their clients are trustworthy. I did not get that impression. Second issue, we were vacating the property one hour prior to check-out and a person came to door demanding we open door. He then stated we had a leak and proceeded to photo my face prior to me closing door. Odd. I do not want to make any public assumptions on this matter.

Walk down stairs, walk on very short path, swim in ocean. This is the main reason we chose this rental. And it did not disappoint. We wanted days at the beach and we got it. An absolutely beautiful beach at that! All the other stuff was fine too - but waking up and seeing the ocean from the screened in porch as we ate breakfast - amazing. Getting to go swimming or sun tanning all day long, with a quick walk back to the condo for bathroom and refreshments - even better.

How can you possibly have a better location - there is no way
Walk down stairs, walk on very short path, swim in ocean. This is the main reason we chose this rental. And it did not disappoint. We wanted days at the beach and we got it. We have stayed at several of Kim’s properties over the years and it’s always a great experience. We booked this vacation literally the week before travel and Kim made it easy. Thanks again !

Spend the extra money and stay at the resort. You won’t regret it.
We have stayed at South Seas three different times over the past 10 years. We thought we would save some money and not book directly through the resort. Upon entering the property we were disappointed. It smelled moldy, carpet felt as though the sand and beach water had not been cleaned or dried. The bathroom had mold and the sheet rock above the shower had an area that was black and looked like the ceiling was about to crumble and fall in. The air conditioner rattled all night, beach umbrellas that were advertised were actually small plastic umbrellas that I could barely fit under and were half broken. The dishwasher rack was broken.
Needless to say we were very disappointed. We love Captiva and the beaches, but this was less than desirable. We packed up and left after the first night.

Stayed at 2433 with my family of five (1,6,8 year old kids). The views are amazing. Was a nice cozy condo perfect location on the gulf. Will definitely be back in the future.

Perfect beachside retreat!
Stayed here with my family for some much need R&R and received just that!
We had plenty of space in the unit for our group of 4 and loved how the pool and beach were just steps away if we ever needed to run back to the house for anything!
Check-in was so easy and Kim replied to my emails quickly.

Paradise on the beach
The property looks exactly like the descriptions and photos. The view from the balcony was gorgeous; you can hear the ocean waves day and night. Everything was clean and prepared for my arrival. The host was very fast with responding to questions. The wi-fi didn't work but there was open wi-fi for all guests, the cable TV reception wasn't good, but it was a problem caused by the cable company that was affecting everyone in the area and was beyond the host's ability to fix. This specific unit has a small single step before you reach the door, anyone who is 100% wheelchair dependent would have to trouble shoot how to get manage that step. My mother uses a walker/wheelchair and was able to easily manage the step with her walker. Everything else was great and I plan to return again.

We loved the location of the property to access the resort and town of Captiva; views were spectacular. We had a problem with the cleanliness of the condo but the owner responded immediately to have it cleaned. She is also going to wash the carpets that are filthy.

A location you can’t beat and a jaw dropping view. We had an amazing time here and can not wait to return. The owner replied fast and was reliable. The rental had everything you needed. Walking distance to all the shops, as located right inside the resort. The pools were nice and great beach access. Loved the two floors in the condo. Thanks so much!

Captiva Vacay
The property is extremely dated and truly needs some TLC. Very tired and dirty rugs and furniture. No mattress padding or mattress covers on the bed so felt very unhygienic. There were plenty of towels and beach towels which were new so that was a plus. Also the unit is extremely spacious and has a good size balcony. Cushions on balcony chairs very dirty and moldy. Old beach chairs we had to use as well since you cannot use the resort beach chairs. Saw other units beach supplies and they were newer and in good condition.
The toilets/showers were rusted, chipped, and moldy. A brand new shower curtain though which was good. The cabinets in the bathrooms were not clean. The refrigerator had very rusted shelving in the freezer and the coffee pot was corroded. I ended up cleaning the coffee maker to the best of my ability and the kitchen... as well as the significantly dirty window in the twin bedroom which was covered in soot and dust on the inside as well as the outside and couldn't be open as screens were ripped and the handles wouldn't crank.
The owner's attitude was okay enough before we arrives; but felt aggressive at times about monies, the contract and the beach items. We also did not need to know her concierge quit on her the day before our arrival. It caused more stress to our already stressful situation of trying to leave before a blizzard. She was adamant we not arrive before 4pm on our date. It would've been so much kinder if she could have been a tad more flexibility with this as our travel was so tough due to the blizzard.
The location is amazing I will say. Just go in with low expectations for the condo appearance and cleanliness. I peeked into other units in our building and they were pretty nicely appointed, updated, and clean. I will definitely go back to Captiva but will not rent this unit again.
Overall we cleaned the place the best we could and rolled with it and had a very nice vacation.

Two heated pools out front. Upper floor offered quiet along with the views. Beach is star of the show. Miles of clean, uncrowded sand. Effortlessly relaxing. Would definitely book again. Two thumbs up.

Captiva Vacation
I love the location, but the condo needs some repairs. It does not seem like money goes back into the condo. When we arrived, there were large pieces of broken glass in the downstairs bathroom, the paint/wall paper is peeling on some walls, and the remote to the TV has several layers of tape holding it together, both large beach umbrellas were broken and toilet paper holder falling off the wall. These were all minor issues and overall the condo is good while spending most of the time outside. This is my second time renting this facility because I love the location and views so much, but might go through the actual resort next time.

Went for a long weekend girls trip. The condo was clean but outdated. But we didn’t spend much time in there anyway. The washer/dryer are on the bottom floor of the building and require quarters, which we didn’t know. It’s a super short walk to Starbucks and doc fords for lunch/dinner. Easy access to 2 pools. There are 4 beach chairs, but one was broken so we bought a new one to leave there. Overall it was a nice place. Had everything that we needed.

The owner emailed me a contract that was different than the contract on the VRBO web site. The emailed contract allowed the owner to charge damages directly to my credit card and not go through the VRBO process. VRBO is not easy to work with, but it was not cool that a contract with different terms was provided and I did not have the option to cancel. We signed and returned (through VRBO) the contract that was on the VRBO site when we rented and it worked out. The only things missing for this stay were being able to use the South Seas lounge chairs, umbrellas and trolley. FYI - South Seas only allows purchases at the Ships Store unless you are staying at a property rented through South Seas. There were 2 umbrellas and 4 chairs at the condo.
